AYANEO has their NEXT device, and its LITE (actually its a little heavy). It's their take on a budget Steam deck competitor. For only $300 how does it compare?

Been loving mine. Even runs TotK in in toughest parts really well!
Does it play rd2?
@@Blu-wp7uc hi, yes if you look up ghosty games, he has a video of it running well
How is the battery life?
great video :)
Thanks for watching! 😊
Hi, a question: how do I enter the bios and start Batocera? Thank you
Looking forward to getting it ! Great video ! I need something on the side to play some of my other games that are not on steam.
totally a solid option for some casual gaming and easily access other launchers!
Thanks for watching!
Hey,
I just want to thank you for making my searching go fast with specific details,
also I support you to have a great success.
thank you
does this run fallout new vegas and darktide well?
Dose botw run well?
Thanks for the video. I was wondering would an Ayaneo Air Plus 6800U/16GB/512GB at 549USD be more worth it? I am looking play games like God of War/Devil May Cry/Persona 3 Reloaded at 720p.
Possibly! I can’t speak to those game specifically but I’d say the 6800u is performance wise most comparable to Steam deck performance. I think the Steam deck is slightly more power efficient… so the 6800u will need more TDP than the Steam deck for the same performance but not by much.
For those specific games my guess is the AYANEO Next Lite won’t run them remotely well enough, but it’s a lot more likely for the Air Plus.
Thanks for watching!
@@ScatteredBrainThanks for replying! I decided to get a 7640U (I just realised it has the same compute units as the Steam Deck's GPU), hopefully power efficiency is closer to the Steam Deck with maybe better performance.
4500U This CPU has its limitations.
It is a machine that can only play at 30 FPS!
And even more processing heavy games like GOD OF WAR
Even 4500U is quite heavy 1x FPS. 4500U can't play real AAA titles.
Even 4800U model is heavy 20-30FPS (4800u not is price $3xx )
STEAMDECK has a special GPU chip that we would like to explain. Thanks to it, even AAA titles can be played with less weight.
but This 4500U does not have a GPU chip, only the internal IGPU has limitations.AAA titles is quite heavy
Good choice in colorway 🎉 I'm using same
I wish they could have made this with a 6600u. I like the Loki but the screen is a little small. Still I might buy the 4500u model if they still sell it for 300 which O don't see. I am a cheapskate and I'm still rocking my Odin Lite
That would have made it way more on par with the Steam Deck’s performance!
I did just notice that for some reason they’re not offering the 128gb for $300 now. But it’s a hard sell. 128gb is really just barely a few games.
I think for $50 more to get 512gb is a good trade off!
Thanks for watching!
They will be, when they all come back in April
@@ScatteredBrain but if you're mostly playing 2D Indie games and old games on retroarch You can fit a pretty good number on 128 gig, but I know if it's a Windows machine Windows will probably take up a decent chunk of that 128 by itself
Can it run PS3 and 360 emulation, ok I see it can't still sweet though. It will still run a lot.
I think it's weird that you kept showing footage from Zelda throughout the video. It's distracting
hello! can this run blender and other 3d programs?
Since this is a lower spec system I don’t think I’d look to it for some intense rendering. I doubt it would run Blender smooth enough. I wouldn’t think any of these gaming handhelds are specced high enough to do anything quite like that. You’re going to need a GPU for that! But you could pick one of these up AND an external GPU to get that kind of config going!
Thanks for watching! 😊
so what's the selling point over the steam deck?
Cheap, Windows, Game Pass, Good emulation 😊
it also has big storage capacity for relatively cheap since it's a 2280
where can I buy?
I’ve got it linked in the description!
Thanks for watching 😊
The weight of the product is 720g, so how can it be ‘LITE’? lol
Lite as in, in features not light as in, weightless 😅
Thanks for watching!
hmmm for me would be the next lite perfekt... ijust try to save some money...but its difficult as three years of beeing homeless.... idont want any smartphone nut i need a ultramobile device like this...and my beloved maxpayne 3 would run good enogh on this maschine... some body would sell it to mee for cheap good price?!
And then they raised the price and steam lowered theirs which makes this doa
Hate Linux.. and the weight of Steamdeck is horrific
Thanks for the review. Now I know that the product is not worthy, because, the lack of SteamOS and an Oled screen. 👍
Thanks for watching! 😊
Seems like a way over priced emulation device lmfao. I mean windows? Its a poor mans rog ally or legion go at that ooint, except with none if the power. Throw that in with the VAST amount of other aya neo prosucts coming out every other month. This device is basically shovel ware at this point.
It’s really the low price point that makes this appealing. The crowd that wants PC gaming on the go and maybe has a backlog of older games.
Thanks for watching!
Gross its running on some Linux? No thanks. I noticed all the cheap handhelds are running on some trash Linux.
Steam deck runs on linus too
It’s running windows unless you install linux on it.
Steamos (on the steamdeck) is better optimised for the formfactor than windows. So I rather have that
@@PatrikKrondebloated windows runs games much better than Steam OS, check Atlas OS
Okay, do these prices sound reasonable
GPD Win 4: $800-$1000
Ayaneo next:$1000-$1100
Lenovo Legion go:$700
Ayaneo 2:$1100-$1300
They're all windows handhelds
You're welcome😊
