"Looks a lot like a regular pair of glasses" made me blurt out laughter so hard.
I mean compared to whats out there for AR its close but ya not perfect
They have bigger bezels I guess. And the lenses are quite large in terms of surface area.
It needs to be just a bit smaller
😂 How can you watch at 3:24 and not think the guy looks like a minion 😆
That's actually hilarious 😂
Love the concept! Wish it was bit smaller (thinner) though. Future looks bright!
The X2 lite being released later this year is exactly what I want. I had ordered these but canceled at the last minute as I don't wanna have 2 pairs because I'm definitely getting the lite version, which is half the size.
Why is no one hyped about this? If Apple released this, there will be hundreds of reviews on UA-cam right now.
because the are half baked obviously
It very sad, I dont hate Apple, to be honest am very privileged to have all these OS's but I hate the way they rename things other companies have been trying and experimenting for years and the way people jump on it and make it like there is nothing like it we are lucky to have it.
@@SourceCodeDhotxMystic my same exact thought. Apple seems to have a cult-like following. Sorry for this reference -but the vision pro isn't really anything new, we have seen similar technology like it and look how much my feed got flooded the day it was announced. But take these completely AR glasses, they are an even bigger leap in technology ( completely see-through displays and in a very small form factor) than Apple's vision pro in my opinion. But this is literally the only channel I've seen covering it.
The battery life will suck on these, and are you going to get easy service in these if the battery dies or something else goes wrong?
It looks super goofy the Google glass looks fire
See this is the future. Not a stupid bulky headset. 🕶️
Were you able to experience true augmented reality, where the output stays in its virtual spot, depending on where you're turning or tilting your view? Or were you only seeing a "heads up display" that is always in front of you, no matter where you're looking?
Also, the Indiegogo campaign mentions AR Bowling and other AR games/entertainment. Were you able to demo those out as well?
it's a screen in front of you
the chip is capable of doing true AR but they may have chosen to not use it for battery and cooling reasons, the glass is already a little too thick using only basic functions
Integrating AI with this to help you find objects in a field will be useful for warehouses.
Now this is exciting! This tiny device is using the same processor as the Meta Quest 2. 🤯
They ain't ready yet.
With these glasses he looks like the biggest Nerd i have ever seen XD no way im walking the streets with those, i don't wanna get robbed XD
If these could play media / have a virtual screen they would be a replacement for so many other products. Whoever figures that out is going to win
just the idea of lying on your back down on the couch watching videos youtube on small AR glasses.
A simple but extremely appealing proposition.
The era of the majority of people facing their heads down looking at their phones may become a thing of the past.
they will now look forward staring blankly off into space. 😋
Is it possible for one to use a browser or download UA-cam on it
We got ar glasses before gta 6. Wow.
This is the point. We always carry a cellphone and use the glasses battery for processing powering a processor instead of just connecting to the omnipresent cellphone. It seems like a redundancy.
Anybody here seen the movie Her. That voice assistant gave me some vibes from that movie.
LOL ya i can see that
What functions are available. How can you reach an app store? Is there a store already for downloading apps. Netflix and amazon prime available?
Yeah map features area great. But what about a list of SIDE QUESTS you can do daily.
Eventually we won't need translation apps when everyone speaks Mandarin 😛
With the camera is there a zoom in function?
As an augmented reality display being wireless they are cool, very bulky and costume looking though. But having them being wireless is big, and then adding an optional wired compatibility for wifi access is also great.
But being a video streamer and gamer I'd be looking for a bit more...
is there a reason the screen doesn't take up the entire lens or are they just cheaping out?
is there a max video length like with the meta raybans (60 seconds)?
does it have netflix? and youtube?
Can the glasses play video files? Also, what's the color like when wearing them?
So? Can I watch TV or shows like I watch on my phone? Hbo max, Netflix, discovery plus ext.?
Its good for news anchors or news readers
I was already losing hope thinking that the Galaxy glasses were gonna end up looking like the apple vision pro but as it stands the glass is giving me hope for the future. If this glass is this good then I expect something way better for the Galaxy glasses due to Samsung's collaboration with Qualcomm and Google ❤
This & xreal type glasses are what Apple should have released, using Apple design with their technology & manufacturing capabilities along with iPhone integration would have been great, 👍👍 video
can you connect with your air pod?
I wish the tcl ray neo x2 smart glasses have a 4k micro led display as an option that way it would have a 4k display like my sony xperia 1 iv 4k oled display. I don't want oled because I already have burn in issues with oled display since I intentionally cause oled displays to have burn in issues. There can still be 2 versions 1 with oled and 1 with nintendo oled with no a.i.
Out of all the wave guide smart glasses i have seen so far, the vuzix z100 and the meizu myvu ar glasses are the closest to looking normal in design. Unfortunatunately those are only monochrome color and are not as app and feature rich as the rayneo x2
I wish TCL designed those glasses with a removable battery so that it can be replaced on the day it will inevitably die, to make them a really long time investment by considering how the whole world has been struggling financially with inflation for 2 years since Russia invaded Ukraine.
A cap on the cable port would also have been welcome to protect it from the rain.
Last but not the least : I also wish TCL chose the 2nd gen of the Snapdragon XR2 chip which is already used by the meta quest 3 and consumes 50% less power than the 1st gen included in Rayneo X2.
without 6dof ...it's not AR ....it's a hud
These Glasses DO have 6dof. The Ring has 3dof.
@techreviewsau no they don't ...they might have a crappy demo with a tracked qr code ...it's not meant for using apps like holograms sitting in space ....it's the same as gglass a smartwatch for your face with a crappy display
@@pumpuppthevolume Well sorry but YES THEY DO. There is a demo where an avatar comes out of a Portal in front of you, and you can walk AROUND and UP TO her! It works by using SLAM (Simultaneous Location And Mapping), which requires 6dof. Look it up.
pity they don’t translate back when you speak
but you look like a supernerd with this in public o.o better less specs but look like normal glasses, look at brilliant labs frame ai or inmo go glasses
They nailed the "EyeSight" feature on these. Looks a million times better on these than the AVP! 🤣
yeah, the only thing they do better than AVP
Love the idea of these glasses but they look big and heavy. I wear glasses is it's kind of annoying.
They are definitely bigger and heavier but they also sell a light version
this is so fucking crazy
It doesn't feel super AR. If projections could feel locked into positions in the real world - (Arrows on the floor for directions) etc. The steel drum demo is the ONLY example of this.
Its AR but yes it wont lock arrows on the floor or pin virtual items in your world.
Correction Matthew, it will pin some things in place - depending on the App you use. I have them too.@@MatthewMoniz
How is coverage of this so limited?
TCL has a limited budget😂
At Vegas with an extra bed...you wolf :P
LOL
Compare s24 ultra with s23 ultra after February update vivid mode updated
I supported the indigogo, as i do want a pair of these, but man are they ugly.
lol those glasses are so big
I love the concept of ar glasses. but these look way too goofy, still.
Holy.. who in the world would wear that??😂 those things are enormous! Makes you instantly look like a damn weirdo. I never understand why these companies dont just wait until a product is actually ready for consumer market..
They still look ridiculous unfortunately, too bulky. nerd emoji looking.🤓
The ring is so silly with how bulky it is. I'd feel more dumb using that then just tapping the glasses lol
I think your ipd comment is false. If there are 2 different display, im sure there should be ipd issue.
Nope. No issues here. I have them.
the glasses are to big
Just be happy this shit exists in your lifetime
@@grahamwebster8913I swear. They expect perfection on first iteration. They act like the iPhone and the macbook weren’t chunky boys when they first debuted
Your to is too small.
Technology will only get better overtime. Just wait
No but this is the most complete and normal looking at glasses ever. Very exciting to see
Too bad the translation doesn't translate voice speaking in real time
It does in real-time, with a 2 second delay when they pause. (The small delay allows it to correct for the context of the sentence.)
Yeah no 😂
😢😮😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🙈
Lame.
What was the battery life in your using these every day? Did they last an entire day? Were you doing things like playing music from them for a few hours while going out and about? How fast was it draining while using turn by turn navigation or the AI translation?
Battery life is the MOST critical factor of this product.
Battery size, which apps consume the most (e.g. gps navigation).
@@VampirusX I asked on the Indiegogo and the creators replied saying battery life is 4 hours of full use :(
I may have missed it but were prescription lenses for these glasses discussed? I can’t find anything online that talks about whether or not people who need glasses can wear these with or without prescription lenses.
It comes with custom made prescription lenses if you order one (at least in China). The lenses are attached to the glasses.
I found a place that makes lenses for these. For about 70 ish bucks
@@infiar1236 Se puede usar como ayuda visual?
Para personas con baja visión?
All i was searching for Is peter parkers edith glasses
AWESOME!!! Regarding the GPS function, do these glasses possess text-to-speech (TTS) technology? In other words, will they provide verbal instructions for navigating to your destination?
ok, this is great for the future, i will replace my phone with an ar glasses in the future.
Hello Matthew, here are some uncomfortable questions that many people would like to hear answers to:
1. How long does the battery last?
2. How much does it drain the phone battery, considering it needs to be connected anyway?
3. How comfortable is it to wear for an extended period?
4. Is it waterproof?
5. What about heat? Does it become warm, and if so, where - on the front or legs?
6. Is there any pressure related to the device weight on the ears or nose?
7. Is there any pressure related to the legs on the back of the head?
8. Does it leave any marks on your face after wearing it for a while?
9. How long does it take to charge it fully?
10. Do they work without an internet connection on your phone for any function?
Why are these uncomfortable LOL
Can it translate the text in front of you without the voice commands?
Its still big but were so close to making it look like regular size glasses. Wheres my geiger counter?!
The ring makes it even more futuristic. I love it. Cant wait to see how this technology progresses
These things will sell like hot cakes
I just wish they looked more sleek, i would like this with just the screen and speakers with microphone, idc about cameras or anything like that i just want a hud for when im walking around so sorta like when someone calls you in cyberpunk u get something like that, or a music thing off to the side doesnt even have to interact with the environment
Your Wifi network is called Verdansk?! DAMN!!!
This review fell short of any of the realities of this device. It’s practically a crime to hype this thing up considering how bad it is.
I wear prescription glasses so how that will work
How fast/slow is the live translate? Im hard of hearing and would love to have subtitles in AR glasses for conversations in real life.
Bulky Gen 1 device...!
I'll wait for a gen 3, where they've made it smaller, faster, more intelligent and can actually pass for a normal pair of glasses.
I am a big believer in the ability for monkeys to speak when we're not looking. How do I prove this?
Can i take photos and video with voice assistance without touch the glasses?
Me wearing these 🤓
i wonder how does it work with eyeglass wearer far or near-sighted people
i wonder how mucg they are
900 usd
NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRDDDDDD
Can they stream
I ride a Onewheel and I would love to be able to see my speed and battery life. Are there any smart glasses that can do that? I don't care about search functions or really anything other than seeing specific stats related to my onewheel app.
can you use these glasses like a monitor? i mean plug them into a pc and see a 200 inches screen like the rayneo air 2
No they are completely AR. You cant mirror your smartphone.
glasses are usually for all ages so this could be for all ages
Intrigued that they didn't do bone conduction for the music/audio instead of miniature speakers. The side pieces look large enough and seem to cover the areas required for good coverage. It would have solved the sound spillage issue IMO.
Does the ring come with the glasses?
Wireless!!!! (or not physically tethered) finally we got there.
Of course, the real appeal and fun is to eventually have fun video playback and AI.
will the Rayneo X2 have Spacial Computing and ability to put media windows to the side of your view instead of blocking the front of your view?
Battery life?
@0:43 if i had soda in my mouth, it wouldve been out my nose 😂
Can we play UA-cam videos on it
If i had the spare money, you know I'd buy it
If only it didn't look so goofy
je viens d'acheter la X2 sur Aliexpress et je cherche le mode d'emploi 😢 pouvez vous aider. merçi😊
Nice post🙏
yes sir we are finally in the future
First❤
😮
It doesn't stream videos? If I plugged it to a phone by cable, would it stream then? I wish these could replace my XReal Airs
Thats correct it doesnt stream video
@@MatthewMoniz Thanks for confirming, maybe one day we will get best of both worlds. Love your channel! :)
🤓
I guess it's about how it feels for you as the user, but from the outside they look far too big and too chunky, like a joke costume pair of "nerd glasses"
Definitely thicker and they can look a bit nerdy but they do have a lite version that looks more normal. Unfortunately to pack all that AI in glasses and make them look normal is still a few years away
When does the lite version release?
I still think it's a missed opportunity to not tap into the battery and compute power of a smartphone, but screen technology is super cool
vuzix blade does the same thing
