RayNeo X2 Review: True Wireless AR Glasses with AI, Camera, And More!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 лют 2024
- The RayNeo X2 are truly wireless AR glasses that can project visuals in front of your face like a heads-up display. The glasses pack a camera and built-in ChatGPT AI assistant to help you document surroundings or ask quick queries.

The industry should be talking about those glasses
"Weazer frontman" I am old enough to find this statement absolutely hilarious. LOL!
Same here. 🫱🏻🫲🏿
Ben, is my number 1 reviewer I always recommend my friends his channel
Ben, thank you - this is the review I wish I did! You nailed this one - excellent and honest review.
Definitely early showings of where this AR tech is going in the future. The endgame for all these companies is to put all the tech in say a Apple Vision Pro into a pair of glasses. We're quite a ways off but it's still pretty exciting to see a new big jump happening as often as these glasses are coming out
Vegeta! What does the scouter say about his?
Been waiting on your review of these. Thanks man! Hope you get your hands on the meizu myvu AR glasses as well.
Oppo released their own prototype air glass 3 as well seems like the tech is progressing.
They are getting so so very close to making these a game-changer for people with visual impairments.
To have that camera system be a solid quality periscope zoom that could directly project onto the screens and you could control it with that ring!
I'm still patiently waiting since watching the first idea even about this stuff when they were on Jordi's face in Star Trek next generation. I hope they come out with something like this before I'm too old to enjoy it.
I have been using original old school bioptic glasses that were manufactured by Leica over 40 years ago!
Like Elton John old.....
Keep them coming love your content.! 👍
Awesome review. As someone who owns an Amazon Echo Frames, Xreal Air, and a new Quest 3, this falls perfectly in the middle with all the features I need: better AI than Alexa, the ability to install and use some Android apps like the Quest 3, and AR from the Air. And it looks 90% like normal glasses!
Ordered thank you!
Great review, Ben! Some questions though - as somebody who is short sighted, can this pair be used to replace a normal pair of glasses (some hardware or software to make up for the difference), and did you experience any discomfort trying to balance between watching the view through your own eyes and also reading whatever is displayed?
Awesome review keep it up as always Ben's brother
I really want a pair of AR glasses at some point to see what it's like, and these being so cheap (relatively speaking) means I might be able to get a pair one day without breaking the bank! lol
I think for new consumer tech it's actually important to have a cheaper version (even if its a stripped down version features-wise) since it's something nobody has ever experienced before, and lots of people won't want to spend a premium just to experiment with something they might not end up liking in the end. Even if this doesn't end up having the same feature set as something more expensive, at least the asking price allows lots of people to try it, who might end up loving it so much that they are willing to buy a more expensive model down the line!
I already know two uses for AR glasses I think I'd love. One, laying in bed projecting a video above me to watch so I can watch something while also being in a comfortable laying position. And two, I'd love to take walks and maybe have an e-book open on the periphery of my vision so I can pay attention to walking while also reading a bit too. Maybe that sounds a bit weird, I know audiobooks exist but I actually like physically reading better, I can take my time, and really imagine everything at my own pace.
EDIT: I'm starting to watch the video itself and I maybe spoke a bit too soon, idk if these have the feature set I'd want from a pair of AR glasses, but it still looks like a neat stepping stone to the future I hope comes around!
How would you compare it to the Inmo air 2 that you’ve tried before?
Loving the review, Ben and excited for my pair I got as an early bird IGG price! Just curious:
1) Do the glasses pair up with any smartphone via Bluetooth or app?
2) How does that work exactly?
Great review
I've been waiting on this since your xda article dropped last week. These are really cool. I wish they could do better job of "screen recording" so you can see your stuff with the video recording
Just a quick question i might have missed it but does the text look like a rainbow in person or is that just the camera?
I'm interested in the translation feature since I live in a Spanish-speaking country like the way you do in Thailand not being your native language. how does it perform in the real world other than waiting for it to translate example picking up the correct words most of the time? another thing I can see is projecting in both lenses so do they both act as a single display or is it possible for example to identify items with different languages on one while the other lens acts as a text translator or do both lenses as text translators just each with a different language (using custom app) i guess. like your reviews by the way since you cover thoroughly about AR tech in a fun way. keep it up 😃
When does it go on sale?
Thank You Brother
I think the standout feature for me is turn by turn nav and live translate. Any chance you know how 'delayed' the live translate is?
Can u preview the camera on the display
How long does the battery last?
This glass can do 70% of things that Vision pro can do .😂😂😂
With affordable price ,small size ,more comfortable and good design .plus many useful features.
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
nice Ray Neo X2 AR glasses, I prefer AR glasses to VR glasses because you can use them as regular glasses. The Roku I bought wasn't working well with my Samsung phone, I could not open the phone apps
I hope you can make notes about certain people. That would be awesome.
what about the prescription lenses?
What if you wear glasses? Is there some sort of adapter?
Hello, some questions which probably a lot of people would like to hear answers for:
1. How long does the battery last?
2. How much does it drain the phone battery, considering it needs to be connected anyway?
3. How comfortable is it to wear for an extended period?
4. Is it waterproof?
5. What about heat? Does it become warm, and if so, where - on the front or legs?
6. Is there any pressure related to the device weight on the ears or nose?
7. Is there any pressure related to the legs on the back of the head?
8. Does it leave any marks on your face after wearing it for a while?
9. How long does it take to charge it fully?
10. Do they work without an internet connection on your phone for any function?
Best review on this. Can you watch videos, Netflix you tube on this screen?
Can the glasses play video files? Also, what's the color like when wearing them?
One thing you never mentioned, what is the battery life for the device?
Does it have any IP rating?
will the Rayneo X2 have Spacial Computing and ability to put media windows to the side of your view instead of blocking the front of your view?
Say does the notifications supports multilingual text ? For example WhatsApp notification text in Spanish ? I have inmo go and one of the downsides is that it doesn’t supports multilingual notifications
Dope 🔥
@Ben How do these compare to the INMO Air2 glasses you previously reviewed?
I doubt if he'll give a comparison answer since he basically gets these products for free from the manufacturers. He doesn't want to rock the boat.
How's the battery life?
what if someone that is near sighted / far sighted? how can they use these glasses
I want to see the samsung xr glasses
00:30 did you check the mirror?
These are cool but still seem gimmicky. I'll wait to see what the 3rd and 4th gen version of these glasses can do. Excited for the future of AR glasses.
That glasses suit you look cute tho❤
AR glasses will certainly be the next big thing in tech. It will work alongside with smart watches and rings. It will possibly replace the phone within 10 years.
Can they screencast iPhone ?
What if you already wear glasses?
Interesting - and they actually suit you! Not so sure they'd look as good on me as they do on you, but I'll keep my eye out - haha! - for when they get better.
Is the tcl ray neo x2 with micro led and 1,000 nits with no a.i. still coming out? I'm looking for it specifically for the tcl smart glasses that was announced back on January 4th, 2023 and there was no mention of a.i. thats why I'm interested in the smart glasses because it has no a.i., micro led and 1,000 nits. The whole article never mentioned a.i. Anything with a.i. it's automatically deal breaker for me. Everyone I spoke with has no interest in a.i. I even tried to completely uninstall Microsoft copilot on windows 11 and there is no option to remove windows copilot, it just says to turn it off. I don't to turn it off, I want to uninstall windows copilot by going to the control panel and remove copilot completely like it never existed. I was even able to completely uninstall cortana since I never used it. The only time interacted with cortana was playing halo on the original xbox lol. Windows copilot is already bloatware that not everyone is interested in using. Google even updated the google messages app for android to have a.i. built in.
Can it open youtube?
Shouldn't be comparing these to the Apple Vision Pro (as this is a VR/MR device). They should be compared to the Meta Raybans or other AR glasses, e.g. Magic Leap 2, Hololens 2 or even Brilliant Labs Frame Glasses. I would have liked to see a comparison of the video between the Meta Raybans and these. It would also be great to see how easily these integrate with IG or Facebook for Reels/Stories or Livestreaming. What's the battery life on these things?
what if we already using glasses? are suppose to stack those?
No. You'll have the same problem with literally every headset/eyewear. You'll have to wear contacts
I’ll take this over Vision Pro any day
What are all the languages it translates?
Which one is better?? RayNeo X2 or INMO Air 2
can you get prescription lenses for it ? cause i wear specks
Yes I believe so
According to the indigogo campaign, they have partnered with lensology for prescription lenses.
Whoop whoop excellent gives them more of a customer base good news that
can you use these glasses like a monitor? i mean plug them into a pc and see a 200 inches screen like the rayneo air 2
I was wondering that too
can you watch youtube on the glasses?
je viens d'acheter la X2 sur Aliexpress et je cherche le mode d'emploi 😢 pouvez vous aider. merçi😊
THE QUESTION : WITH SUPER EXTREME CLOSE GAP BETWEEN LENSES N EYEBALLS, HOW CAN OUR EYES FOCUSING ??? PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION BRO....MANY THX.
Can you look at Chinese or Japanese texts and they get translated to english?
I wonder how the X2 Lite's compare to these...
I may buy the lite. This is too big and weird looking.
Kinda annoyed that you opted to compare this to the avp and not the inmo Air 2 (its direct competitor) both products you've tested extensively. I just wanna know which one is better
So how does this compare to the Ray-Ban Meta glasses
Ray ban meta is only camera, video, and audio; it doesn't actually have any form of screen projection.
@@robertreynolds5694 in other words... AI is the core difference
Now they've just gotta figure out how to make it look like a pair of glasses 😃. A pretty cool gadget though
You said you used these daily for a few weeks, so what was the battery life in your using these every day? Did they last an entire day? Were you doing things like playing music from them for a few hours while going out and about? How fast was it draining while using turn by turn navigation or the AI translation?
Imagine this but it's Vision Pro. Maybe in 5 years or so 🧐
First thing I'm doing is going to the nail salon.😂
Very nice .
This is how future should looks like ❤❤❤❤.
Not black mirror😂😂😂
I'd buy this in a heartbeat if only they offered an option for people with prescription lenses 😢
Interesting gadget...
Yet another first rate review
How come they have made an app to watch UA-cam yet 🤷🏽♂️
Your link was shutdown
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This can be the future unlike vision pro. Vision pro would be another ipod. Actually it is an unfinished product. Apple released it hastily just to capture the market but that's a wrong idea.
The arm looks huge and the camera looks terrible for 2024 usage. Are there any others in the market that you currently have on hand/recommend?
I 💕 Thailand
Solo les fato ponerles un filtro que las haga oscura
this is if google glass was more capable .....neat smartwatch and camera for your face
Still $700 is way to expensive for what they are
Oh...a camera....like Google Glass.
Considered it a gen 1, still far too bulky and most likely too heavy for poor ears and nose
Ben. Sir. That's an incredible device in design terms, isn't it? And honestly, we know Google Glass did it many, many years ago. When will these devices be like? 25 bucks off the shelf...?. I think it's coming.
ironically....i cant find any specs that display TIME in the top corner
Thx
It looks more goofy than the Ray Ban Meta Glasses
Yeah, and that's mainly because there's a whole computer with displays in this. The Meta one doesn't have displays.
@@Roosaderno this is not the reason. The reason is that the battery that this one here needs is more than what the rayban needs. Anyway tho, rayban is not having any augmented reality features and they can shoot only vertical video and only up to 1 minute.
Meta glasses are just a camera and microphone and are able to look like regular glasses because of that... What are your expectations?
I wish TCL designed those glasses with a removable battery so that it can be replaced on the day it will inevitably die, to make them a really long time investment by considering how the whole world has been struggling financially with inflation for 2 years since Russia invaded Ukraine.
A cap on the cable port would also have been welcome to protect it from the rain.
Last but not the least : I also wish TCL chose the 2nd gen of the Snapdragon XR2 chip which is already used by the meta quest 3 and consumes 50% less power than the 1st gen included in Rayneo X2.
nobody talking about battery, I wonder why💀
I talked about it
@@bensgadgetreviews yeah, didn't mean you. I mean, I phrased it badly tho I gotta admit
It's the perfect device if you're a creep. 🎥👀 But a sneaky one. 😜
I got these for review and wow do they suck lol
My best UA-camr ever keep going and can you give me of ur phone u don’t use 🤣because I really want to update my phone man I’m using iPhone 6
Too bad, the translation doesn't talk back in real time.
Glasses are Still too big.
Dude, I'm not being seen in public wearing those comedy glasses.
The vision pro is another Apple product that is for Apple fanboys. The simply by anything the Apple logo on it. That said, the RayNeo isn't something I would buy although it might be useful for somebody.
Stop comparing glasses to apple vision pro 😅😂😂😂
Am I the only one who thinks it can kill apple
Apple teaches us that in order to sell a truly stupid looking thing that no adult should be caught wearing, you have to make it unaffordable so rich people think it's desirable.
Nah
The only trade-off is that you will be looking like a nerd all the time !
Still Overpriced
looks UGLY for 700$.....
This is why we love Ben - Diverse, Unbiased, Honest. 🫡
