I was a former Christian all my life. I thought I knew that the LDS faith wasn't from God. Until I humbled myself and studied and learned with them for a year I've never felt closer to God. I'll be getting baptized soon

Though I am not Mormon, I am Catholic. I thought I was agnostic, but now I’ve returned to the faith. And this song always reminds me that God is always near no matter what.

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ for the last 10 years. My life is so complete now. I have been confined to a wheelchair for the last 21 years. I know Heavenly Father and my angels are with me all of the time. Thank you for all you do.

I just listened to Raise Me Up. I made me feel that there is hope for me and everyone. I was raised Catholic and went to Saint James Trade School taught by Fransican Brothers from Germany. I remember listening to the brothers sing a Sunday Mass. I married Heidi and went to The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints with Heidi for 14 years and finally realized that I needed to join. I am so happy and realize how great it would be for my children to have been raised in our church. Thank you Jesus for helping me and please keep guiding my life further with you forever.

I was sitting here feeling sorry for myself, being in so much pain in one leg, my back, and the arthritis in my hands that has kept me from doing the art work I loved so much for such a long time, when I decided to open my LDS news online and heard our beloved Prophet counsel us on Covid-19, and encouraged us to be faithful. The very next thing after his advice was the Men of the Tabernacle Choir singing "You Raise Me Up" andI have to admit that I'm going to listen to this again and again, because it filled my heart with comfort, knowing that our Heavenly Father and the Savior love us so much and have suffered as a loving father does when his children err, are ill, suffering, and dying. I decided that I can wait the next two weeks before my knee surgery, knowing that my Heavenly Father knows what I need and can comfort me through pain, sickness, death, and the trials that come with it. I have no singing voice, but my heart sings along with the Tabernacle choir, and that is enough for me. Bless that choir to continue inspiring us.

I heard so many comments about the Mormon Tabernacle Choir....'when they sing, its like the gates of Heaven are opening'...'I feel elated and have goosebumps when they sing'...'so far one of the best choirs in our era, very angelic'...etc; I feel the spirit of our Good LORD and SAVIOUR surround me and within me when I hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing praises to HIM. How can you really dislike a song as beautiful as this?
Hitting that button goes simply and easy; this song is correctly performed, without mistakes, almost perfectly; however, there is zero . zero emotion...., all singers are standing straight, their faces are strightened.
This song is meant to sing with emotion; when you know the context of this song then you're happy to have God in your life, He will help you with all your struggles in life, you can depend on Him.

I listened to this recording in April 2011, in a truck driving from Sendai to Fukushima, a few days after the great earthquake and tsunami in Japan. My wife and I were doing humanitarian relief for the LDS Church. After seeing the devastation left by this disaster, this hymn brought tears to my eyes as I knew that only God could really help those people arise from the devastation we had seen, but that it was our mission to do everything in our power to assist the Lord in that process.
I'm not a mormon but i do love listening to these. Angels are around me every time I listen to this ❤💙❤

Absolutely beautiful! I was blessed to hear your beautiful choir at the Tabernacle a few years.
I've been born and raised LDS . I've indeed been blessed to have had the parents and grandparents and great grandparents in my life. I don't believe merely because I was born into it. Now my kids are raised and I have moved. I'm so proud to work on my family geneology . I miss my family so much. So much I'd like to share . My life has been blessed beyond my worth. In this Christmas season I'm alone and the Tabernacle Choir lifted my spirits and gave me the Christmas I needed. I'm so humbled to feel the spirits around me at times , of which I dare not speak. I'm not a perfect man but try to be a better man each day. I'm not one to stand and bear my testimony, it's too much to articulate. I know not my purpose yet , but I do not fear passing. I know my family will be there to take me home.
This song makes me near our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
