totally agree, it makes me feel so peaceful. was lucky enough to discover this in time for last Christmas, so once again, it will be played a lot this year.
I tell you I've never heard as rich a choir in my life. Full tone! Perfect harmony! Spectacular acoustics. Listen to the piper play. He's the best piper I've ever heard. How hard these musicians must practice. If anyone that is reading this knows the choir and instrumentation please please please let them know that it means an awefull lot to me and probably countless others. LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATHE PRAISE THE LORD! if all I was predestinated to do on earth was to be a praiser of God then I feel that would be sufficient. I just spent the last hour and a half listening to still still still by your orchestra and choir and it's still ringing deep in my heart this moment! Hallelujah
If they touched your soul, they have done their job, which is to help bring souls to Christ. These are unpaid members who give of their time and talents (only their travel expenses are paid for) who love Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. The singers can only serve for I think it's still 5 years and then they are replaced by other members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints through auditions.
The Church is real and true! When one feels it within their being, their soul, The Book of Mormon speaks to me! It lifts me up on High! The members of the choir are members of the Church...they feel Him in this song. It comes through the music! Every day I get closer and closer to The Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ and the message of The Gospel Word of Jesus Christ is The Book of Mormon. 👍🙏🌏💞😇
What about the other one there were misaps. But he was a professional and realized the mistakes and cleaned it up did more practice and re-released it. A lot of people think a recorder is nothing but it is one fine instrument just not the cheap plastic kind For a live performance it is perfect for any child wanting to get into music if your child wants to get in and go get them one you might be out 20 bucks at most.
This song honestly gives me chills. Their rendition is flawless, and conveys the original haunting, hopeful message of the song. My favorite every time of year.

“What Child Is This?” is a Christmas Carol with lyrics written by William Chatterton Dix during the Christmas of 1865. It was set to the tune of “Greensleeves”, a traditional English folk song in 1871. It was first published six years later in 1871, when it featured in Christmas Carols Old and New, a “prestigious” and “influential” collection of carols that was published in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧. Although written in Great Britain 🇬🇧, the carol today is more popular in the USA 🇺🇸, than it’s country of origin. In 1865 William was 29 yeas old when he suffered a from a near-fatal bout of sickness. He was afflicted with severe depression, and this near-death experience changed him completely. While undergoing recovery, he experienced a “Spiritual Awakening” that inspired him to start crafting hymns. He became an avid reader of The Bible and subsequently, he wrote the lyrics and incorporated the tune to the celebrated English folk song, “Greensleeves.” Greensleeves was already one of the most aesthetic and beloved melodies of the festive season, at that time. Although it’s not a quintessential Christmas tune, it’s association with the festive season can be dated back to 1642. The Choir only sang the third verse of this carol. Mr. Krugers Christmas brought me here. Although Im not religious or anything, I really appreciate this music. It makes me wonder... Maybe there is something out there. It really is powerful.
I appreciate your honesty. I wish you could feel the hope that Christ has brought into my life. The hope that there is something better than this life, something more. I wish you could feel the hope He has given me to be able to change and become a better person every day. The hope that I am not alone in this life and that He completely understands you and I because he has borne our burdens before. He died for you and me because of His immeasurable love for us. Because of Him I never have to travel the path of life alone. I hope that someday you can feel of His love for you.

I'm a born again Christian although not of the Mormon faith. But this has got to be one of the greatest choirs in the world, if not the very best. Beautiful music every time they perform.

The greatest musical piece I have ever heard. Perfection. The choir, the recorder, and the 30+ violins at 1:48 to 2.08. This is my Church, this is my Saviour.

1. What Child is this who, laid to rest On Mary's lap is sleeping? Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet, While shepherds watch are keeping? This, this is Christ the King, Whom shepherds guard and Angels sing; Haste, haste, to bring Him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary. 2. Why lies He in such mean estate, Where ox and ass are feeding? Hail, hail the Word made flesh, The Babe, the Son of Mary. 3. So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh, Come peasant, king to own Him; The King of kings salvation brings, Let loving hearts enthrone Him. Raise, raise a song on high, The Virgin sings her lullaby. Joy, joy for Christ is born, The Babe, the Son of Mary.
This....this is Christ, the King!! The Savior, the Son of Mary!! Knowing him makes me weep. He has such a precious and loving spirit...yet he can do anything!!
I love this version, the man playing the wooden recorder gave me people-bumps and I just felt taken away on an epic journey! If they were showing a scene of mountains and fields I would be there! This song holds such hope and love of how humble Jesus Christ was born! Love it!
This is one of best pieces of music I have ever heard. For some reason it reminds me of images of WW1 soldiers walking into the mist and never returning. I can’t get it out of my head. The men who knew their fate. This music would have calmed their nerves, doing something they had no choice but to do.
I believe that this is representative of the pinnacle of human performance art. It doesn't get better than this. Let's all work together to make sure that art like this can flourish in the future.
I always remember my best frend when I play this video...I always play this video when my best fiend in icu room hospital...and now hes in heaven....oh God...I miss him...praise the lord
Wow! This hymn really makes me feel nearer to my Heavenly Father, and to confirm my testimony of thy great love for each one of us to give thy only son to be our Savior and Redeemer... Its beautiful to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!
The Savior is coming to rescue us from this fallen world...may we rescue ourselves and each other before He comes in His glory!! Bless the Father for allowing me to be here in this most important time in history!!
What Child is This?.... He who said "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13) What a inspiring arrangment!!
“By their fruits ye shall know them” I’m so grateful for my faith in The Gospel OfJesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints despite the lies and misconceptions that are spread about our church.
This somg amazes me because I think of how great Jesus is. Like it almost intimedates me. We have all our different perceptions of Jesus, but Idk if we realize He is EVERYTHING. And people for some reason have different views on what challenges are, but no He suffered for every single suffering! And ya, it was the Son of Mary!
I'm Catholic as well and I say the same thing. When the Church of Latter Day Saints sings I feel one step closer to God. You should check out 'The Piano Guys'. They're Mormon as well and do wonderful Christmas music. As we know, He is the Way and the Truth and the Life. Our Messiah, The One and True Saviour.
Thanks much for sharing the majesty and glory of Jesus' salvation through your majestic music ministry. I 'm always spiritually energized. Keep up the good work till Jesus comes again.
Christmas always comes with some sort of sad feelings, but listening to the choir, and President's words, it changes all of it, hope, joy, peace, and foremost, the knowledge that He lives, our Lord really lives!!!
There Are No Words To Say Just How Beautiful This Version Of Greensleeves / What Child Is This Truly Is. Beautiful Arrangement, Beautifully Performed Thank You For The Glorious Music ! 🎶
Mormon? Christian? Muslim? Pagan? Bah, music unites everyone regardless of ethics, race, beliefs, culture... few things feed the soul as much as hymn songs... although with that being said, this Mormon choir absolutely killed it here!
Listening to music with such full body and instrumental power and beauty makes me wonder how someone can listen to mainstream modern pop and call it "music".
I am not Mormon! But thank this Church for placing the meaning and song of this Holy Season for all to hear. God Bless All.

So bring him incense, gold, and myrrh
Come, peasant, king, to own him
The King of kings salvation brings
Let loving hearts enthrone him
What a beautiful yet haunting hymn.
Haunting?
Here’s the thing buddy, There’s no Haunts, There’s no Scary Stuff, all there is us, you, jesus and god :)
Who else came here to see the real video after seeing the parody? 😂 This is drop dead gorgeous btw 🥺
Really is
what parody though? share it pls :) I came here from a game.
I am Catholic and this is the most beautiful rendition I have ever heard. One can only imagine what God's choir sounds like....
Oh my. This is so lovely. Praise be to Thee, O Christ.
Very nice rendetion. My fav christmas song
This song fills me with joy and how much hope we now have because of Jesus coming into the world.
Thanks much for sharing the majesty and glory of Jesus' salvation through your majestic music ministry. I 'm always spiritually energized. Keep up the good work till Jesus comes again.
so calm, peaceful and beautiful...and i love the flute
God's greatest Gift to mankind is given.
Christmas always comes with some sort of sad feelings, but listening to the choir, and President's words, it changes all of it, hope, joy, peace, and foremost, the knowledge that He lives, our Lord really lives!!!
Mormons have some of the most amazing choral arrangements, thank you for sharing❤️
Mack Wilburg has done many of them, but others too!!
This song is very old but very beautiful.....
From singing in Choirs, this is one of my favorites to sing.
Very haunting and tender. I can visualize the tender scene with the star of Bethlehem above and the shepherds and wise men arriving.
My Lord, please continue to Love us, and help us to continue to love you and serve your childrens and you upon the earth.
This arrangement brings me tears every time. The humming at the beginning is so beautiful.
Got to love those Mormons ❤
What an incredible arrangement, I almost have no words. When you hear something so beautiful, you have to wonder how there can't be a God.
This is my favorite Christmas song, and I really enjoyed this version. Thanks-
Wow amazing, 🥲this touched me emotionally
Absolutely One Of The Most Beautiful Arrangements, ‘Of What Child Is This’ I Have Ever Heard ! 🎵
Brought tears. Such tenderness.
I don't know anything about mormon but I love song from tabernacle choir and church also Chrismas Carol from my home town Fairfax Va and Seoul Korea
I feel I'm just not worthy, I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ ✝️ Amen.
I was surprised there were no comments until now. But then I figured it out. Everyone's just speechless!
Flawlessly extraordinary, beautiful.
There Are No Words To Say Just How Beautiful This Version Of Greensleeves / What Child Is This Truly Is. Beautiful Arrangement, Beautifully Performed Thank You For The Glorious Music ! 🎶
It's as if the Savior is there in that choir. Very inspirational. Thank you for posting.
And unseen angels are also singing with them.
When I practice this song on my flute, it sends a warm feeling in my heart.
Greensleeves was my all my joy
Greensleeves was my delight
Greensleeves was my heart of gold
And who but my lady Greensleeves...
What child is this who lays to rest,
On Mary's lap is keeping;
Whom angels seek in anthems sweet
While Shepherds' watch is keeping?
Mormons need to believe in Jesus Christ and they will be saved, put all your trust in the finish work of Jesus the LORD.
We do :) Our official name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The term "Mormon" is more of a nickname
Mormon? Christian? Muslim? Pagan? Bah, music unites everyone regardless of ethics, race, beliefs, culture... few things feed the soul as much as hymn songs... although with that being said, this Mormon choir absolutely killed it here!
We belive in Christ.
Listening to music with such full body and instrumental power and beauty makes me wonder how someone can listen to mainstream modern pop and call it "music".
True talent leaves the receiver pondering on the wonder of their creation and gratitude for the person who gave it.
Beautiful! It doesn't get much better than this. Thank you.
