We’re women of a certain age, never leave the house without makeup. No one is saying a lash at 8 am. But mix your foundation with your daily moisturizer-to make a tinted moisturizer, put concealer under the eyes, mascara, and lip gloss-always!

As I get older I’m noticing that a lot of us (myself included) think that degrees and high-income jobs are what certain men care about… and that’s not the case. I grew up in a strict household that pushed higher education. While this isn’t bad and I’m grateful for the financial security I started to realize that the men that I was attracted to didn’t care about those things and I went a long time without making my looks a priority because I never felt that I had to. I’m getting to a point where it takes balance. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being intentional with your appearance and it doesn’t make you any less serious. I’m learning that taking pride in your appearance does not make you vain. If I can put in all this effort in school, and work and everyone else, I should be able to pour some of that back into myself too. I found that I was disciplined in career and school but lazy in other areas..

Mostly for status reasons. In many of my networks, the majority of established men are married across all races. Whether they're sexually faithful is a different story though, most of them obviously not. I don't know her, but I can see the truth. You don't just snap your fingers and declare yourself as highly coveted and expect to be entitled to the best. She wants top 10% of men. OK, fine, but those men want top 10% of women based on THEIR criteria. She feels left out and wondering why she can't get those men, yet there's also 90% of men she is ignoring and telling to bite the dust.
