Lowell50 34-mile Fall Gravel Race 2022

Trying to get prepared for the Iceman Cometh mtb race the following weekend, I once again signed up for the Fall Lowell50 34-mile gravel race. This year's race conditions were nearly perfect, in comparison to the cold, rain we had last year. I was towards the back of the 2nd wave of 34-mile racers and had a slow start. I lost the lead group early, and never saw the front of the race. I settled into the chase group and had a great time racing alongside of some very strong men and women all morning.

Хорошо, если бы камера находилась на каске спортсмена. Обзор был бы лучше, видно было бы и лес, и округу и местность. Нам ведь интересно не только велогонка, но и все вокруг, так сказать жизнь другой страны.

I think some race organisers don’t allow helmet cameras because of safety issues.

What kind of bike you have?

I currently ride a converted ti mtb frame on gravel. It's an older mtb geometry, so with longer chain stays and steeper head tube angle. I'm also using Archer Components electronic shifting along with the TPS single speed brakes to house the shifter sending unit. This system works well, and allow me to mix and match wheels and cassettes to save a bit of cash.

Sounds good. I’m just getting into gravel bike racing and I have no idea about the bikes. I’m trying to pick an affordable set up but have no clue what is a good bike and don’t want to get a bike that slows me down like a mountain bike
