Your review is on point. I also thought the same. Sometimes I don't like when kpop production/company/idols slack off, it's like they think whatever they put out fans will buy it because they are crazy obsessed with the idols. With that thinking, you can see the stuff they produce are mediocre. Big agencies can flex and produce more expensive MVs but with XG, rather than thinking, 'this MV looks expensive!' I always think 'this MV is so creative!' The quality of the creative production is really high, really well made, it makes me think that the team behind XG racking their brain so hard to make these high quality contents EVERY SINGLE TIME. That's what I call passion and dedication

TGIF is a tribute to the edm song VEAH (42 mil views on YT). Concept is based around it. Def used the sample from that track and the face distortion and psychedelic eye candy seems to be an homage. Multi references to the visuals of the MV. Wild connection.

Imo, XG's MVs are on another level of creative, concept, styling, song, dance,...literally everything is extraordinary. Everytime they drop new MV, it's an new journey from start to end. And I love every songs of them, even the side tracks (VOX, TAPE)

Not since Loona and Digipedi have a team worked so well together. I'm a HUUUGE fan for XG and the whole team. The girls are having fun and Simon-san seems to be managing them well. XG is fighting New Jeans for #3 spot top kpop groups currently.

XG was my wave this year. It's crazy. All their voices are so fun and unique and addicting (especially Harvey's verse in TGIF). Their MVs are even better in terms of scale, production and vocals.
No one is doing it like XG. Period. They are in their own lane on another level 🔥🐺🔥XG was just featured on the cover of U.S. Billboard Magazine in October and it sold out in one hour. XG will also be on the cover of VOGUE Japan next month. And they were on the cover of Forbes Japan a couple months ago.

You are so right about their production team getting the absolute biggest bang for the buck. And I also agree with your example of their Tapes. Even looking at Cocona's Xypher, the set dressing is actually quite minimalist, but her fit is amazing. Filter it to high contrast black and white, and you have a classy, slightly creepy video with the mark of quality.
