I'm a 700 nut and a 6/5 nut for fourty years, it took American a long time to wise up to the six fives
I bought a stock Remington 700 AAC-SD 6.5 with a 22inch barrel. Had for 2years. Then I started to rebuild it up. Of course the scope I put on it first and still have it on is my Nightforce NXS 5.5-22X56. First thing I did was change the stock 22inch barrel to a 24inch Proof carbon fiber barrel. That alone made a huge difference. I was hitting 700 yards and beyond with no problem. It wasn’t until
6 months ago I changed out my action. From the Remington action to a Zermatt Arms Origin action, and TriggerTech trigger. Still have my Nightforce just I truly believe in Nightforce optics. So yes it was a budget gun. Now its a tack driver.
Man I got a set of MK caps ordered and I can’t wait for them to get here. Glad to see a review on them as well. Nothing no UA-cam about them which is surprising
Love the rifle man. And you got a killer paint job on it too. You do that yourself? Love to see a video on the process of painting it.
Yes I painted it. I've had a few request for a video on the paint so I will try to put one together
Consider sending the barreled action to 300below for Cryo treatment. With their satisfaction guarantee, you can't lose. Absolutely made a noticable difference in my groups, for my stock Rem700 ADL 6.5creed
Awesome rifle man! I excited to see what you come up with. I built up a rem 700 sps tactical 308 with a grayboe stock, triggertech trigger and a vortex venom scope. Haven't shot it with the new stock yet but shot it with factory hogue stock and it's probably the funnest rifle to shoot! Mine shoots almost the same mine definitely likes heavier grain bullets such as 168 gr. And 170s. Keep the videos coming man that's a slick setup👍🏼
Sounds like a great rifle! I can't wait to get my trigger in, I know it's a game changer. Appreciate it!
Have a Rem 700 police in 300 win mag. Rem 700 is a great rifle.
Cool
What suppressor did you go with?
Silencer Central Banish 30! Go check out my video on it!
To hell with the 6.5 creedless! The 243 winchester firing 100 grain winchester power points is more better. I have been hunting for over 50 years know what it is with calibers known and unknown. The 260 Remington and the 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser are what you want for hunting anything over 200 yards unless it's coyotes. You will do best with a 25/06 firing 117-120 grain bullets for deer hunting on down.
700 yards, not shooting 1000 or more?
I've gotten out to 1,000 several times now! Does great!
