I rewatched it this morning ...and loved it even more...something i noticed upon second viewing was that Sabines cat actually tells/lets Ahsoka know there still a droid in her apt
Mike, it's refreshing to hear someone acknowledge story pacing as a positive. So many viewers seem to want the story spitballed at them, as opposed to letting the story breathe. So impatient. Anyhoo, it's always good to see you two reviewing. Glad I subscribed.
Clancy Brown (who voices animated Ryder Azadi in Rebels) as live action Ryder Azadi - brilliant! Like the premiere episodes of The Mandalorian and Rebels, characters are introduced with a minimum of exposition and large parts of the plot are advanced visually.
I like that they are actually telling a story and not just making it about action (well not all about action right away). It makes the moments where there is action more thrilling. Consider as well, that we did get 3 fight scenes and a pretty badass speeder bike scene for action in a 50-minute show. They must also consider those who have never seen Clone Wars or Rebels. The added time allows the new audience to focus on who the main characters are. So we now know the antagonists and protagonists and get to see a little bit of each one. Another reaction channel I saw, they flat-out stated they hated Andor and it sucked. Then later one of them made the comment reacting to Ahsoka, that they are glad there are actually lightsabers in a Star Wars show. So it just made clear that all this fan wanted from Star Wars is lightsaber action. That is all well and good and honestly, they are entitled to enjoy what they want of Star Wars. But they are failing to see that the Star Wars Universe is more than just lightsabers. There are stories untold and not all of them have to include lightsaber-wielding force users. As long as we get more than 1 season and not too many filler episodes(that do not deal with the direct plotline), then I do not mind the storytelling over the action. Caveat on filler episodes; If it is character building then they can be worthwhile.
Hey guys good to see you back what an amazing series premiere I'm so hyped for it so much. so far this is proving the best series to date, but im curious to see Jens reactions to the show 🥰
That droid that's flying with ahsoka is from the clone wars episode where ahsoka brought the younglins to get their kyber crystals and they get attacked by hondo and then join a circus to save ahsoka gunji the wookie jedi was there i.dont remember what episodes it was but it was in season 5
my two episode review is 9 out of 10 Clancy Brown reprising his role as Ryder The governor from rebels was A great surprise... Sabine getting stabbed doesn't make sense but whatever somebody had to get hurt
Oh and I wanted to make a general comment to any star wars fans that read this: Right now...here...this moment I find it difficult to understand why Star wars fans have virtually any hate for what's happening. We've got Sabine in live action, Ahsoka, Bo katan, Luke fucking skywalker....is it all perfect...No..... (well except Andor...that was damn near perfect) but to be lamenting about Star Wars now when we have all this content is crazy to me.
Unless we actually see her use force abilities Sabine is not force sensitive if she was Kanan or Ezra would have sensed it back in Rebels she’s proficient with a lightsaber but that’s about it
It's six (or 7) seasons of the Clone Wars, and a measly four seasons of Rebels, at a not exactly hard to digest 22 minute episodes each, so considering we all have the necessary Disney+ subscription anyway lol it's not like we have anything better/more important going on in the meantime anyway Especially those of us who have "review/reaction" "critic" and "opinion" roles, within the fandom. (I'm just sayin' 🤜💥🤛) #ConstructiveCriticism #DontShootTheMessenger ✌️
The uniforms really looked like high school cosplay. really disappointed. I didn't know any of these people, and they didn't give any context. All the male characters turn out to be bad guys, even Ezra, whom I presume left everybody when they needed him. I don't know who he is. I've seen ashoka on the mandelorian. But I don't know these relationships, so I don't care about any of these people. Ashoka seems constipated/pissed off the whole show, even to her friends.
The series is effectively Rebels: Season 5. Ezra had his very good reasons for what he did. I won't spoil Rebels for you if you choose to watch that show for background.
My dude, your complaints are very shallow. There are FOUR seasons of content about these characters which you've clearly never seen. And significantly more seasons of another show which prominently feature Ahsoka, beyond her brief appearances in the Mandalorian and Boba Fett. You might wanna familiarize yourself before saying something so abysmally ignorant.
@@LocksAndChainsI think the complaints are valid. The show should be able to explain itself to people who have not seen the animated series. Otherwise, how do they grow the fandom? I’ve seen the series. Don’t be a snob.
These are all characters from Rebels, so it goes without saying you would need to have some familiarity with the characters to truly *get* the show. Filoni himself has said this is Rebels season 5 and people should at least watch Season 4 before watching. It’s your own fault for not doing that as you’ve put yourself at a disadvantage and are getting butthurt about something you had full control over. I haven’t finished Rebels myself (still working on season 3), so you do know what I did last night? I watched recaps for seasons 3 and 4. There are literally DOZENS on UA-cam that provide great summaries of the show and the characters. You have no one but yourself to blame for this unwarranted anger you have.

I spaced so hard on his name........the only thing my brain could muster was "the voice of Mr. KRABS guy....."
Never expected to see him or Jai Kell in LA
Welcome back, Mike and Jennifer! You two are the best! Keep doing your thing!
Great reaction! The music is stellar, good first two episodes, I think it will really ramp up soon, but loved it!

Great to see u both back! Loved it 😂
David Tenant fits Huyang so well.......i really hope he did some on set mo-cap. He is such an amazing actor and preformer
Love the old school starwars vibe. Love that its building 1 story and has a purpose and it looks breathtaking
Mike and Jenni I love how you two always seem to organically react to each other which is so good to see from reactors on youtube.
so glad you guys are back with reactions !!!! loved you're mando reactions !!

Visual effects are already better than the whole Kenobi show and BOBF and most of Mando. Ashoka looks great!
You’re right, Filomi is Lucas’s “apprentice”.
I was just browsing IMDB and I learned that the actress who plays Hera is married to Ewan McGregor...didn't know that!

Sounds like you’re going to walk away from the show. Go in peace and take the chip off your shoulder.

It was terrible, boring, and unwatchable....
