Part of me only watches these videos to see this guy's expression on his face when he discovers how butchered some of these devices are. The other part of me likes to see how he approaches these various repairs, and what tools he uses. Good videos! Keep it up!
Thanks! Good Video. Near same repair! 1 NOTE: Pin 9 is in fact Ground. If you look closely the sequence that starts on PIN 8 is as follows. There are 4 sets of data pins (those being (Pins 8 & 10, 11 & 13, 14 & 16, 17 & 19) as such At 1:44 of your video you have the pin outs you discovered with a donor board. Having said all that the minor correction here is that Pin 9 (HDMI) is in Fact GROUND (GND).
Each of the 4 Pairs of pins mentioned above has ground in between them. IE. (8,GND,10) (11,GND13) (14,GND,16) (17,GND,19).
Btw you marked it correctly as 9 (next to component) on your board diagram but might want to fix the list of Grounds to [ 3,9,12,15 & 18 ]
Thanks Again, keep up the killer work!
This is what I like to see. Still receiving customer phone calls while working. An excellent sign that business is Good. 👍🏾😉
You r a repairing genius,,I wish to study and gain the knowledge like u hav,,ur videos r amazing and keep up the good work
Simply better...Saludos desde Costa Rica.
Great job again like always
yeah i need the same thing done...your a master...ive never seen this...absolutely awesome...
a lot of craftsmanship in this board, hope it works again, thanks for sharing
Your freaking awesome a lot of repair wouldn't share this thanks!!!
He did a outstanding job
Nice professional video. O subscribed. Please show us more thank you
low melt solder help a lot ! i removed one hdmi from ps4 pro, was hard to remove with quick (temp 500 deg / air 50), need time and efforts to avoid breaking tracks from board, many components under pcb moved from its place even with capton tape. After removing socket, cleaning and putting in all stuffs, all was done perfectly. Thanks for all your sharings and your generosity.
Best Regards.
Awesome like always
good work man
Great job
What solder wick do you use? You mentioned a lot of braids is good, mine is effective but I have to use it up fairly fast to actually soak up the solder. Just wanted to say these videos are amazingly educational and interesting!
Edit: you also used glue for sticking the enamelled wire down in another video, what product is that? It didn’t need UV curing and wasn’t in a pen I believe?
loved the video
you are the best
good job
the pin guide you made is great total subscribe like etc.
thanks for the upload, though I do wonder why their are soo many ground pins for a HDMI port? It seems to be a common trend with most devices. Thanks again.
To maintain the integrity of the signal over electromagnetic interference
Hi Alex loved the video, would there be any possibility of you sharing the pin layout on the ps5 and Xbox series x please?
Many thanks for all the years of your expertise
beautiful🖒🖒
Hi!
Thanks for the video.
I have questions:
why do you give so much flux?
I'm assuming that during the initial repair attempt, too little heat was applied to the board before the connector was removed
Thanks for the video. Is there any chance you know the values of the pin 2 and 9 here? The cap and (diode?). Mine is missing those 2 items after having removed the hdmi
sorry brother evening and congratulations for your videos I wanted to ask you some info the number one pitch would be the one I see on my left of the screen and then what kind of pond did you use to perfectly clean the holes of the hdmi connector on the ps4 motherboard? thanks in advance and thanks for your professional videos
This video is really good for fixing broken traces. What i want to know is what kind of copper wire did you use, where did you get such wire and what diameter is it , it must be a wire so thin that it matches the trace, but i have been unable to find a copper wire that is very thin in order to repair 2 traces on a pc motherboard because the traces are one next to the other.

Thank your very much for your Videos ! I have a Question about the PowerButton on the PS4 , what Voltage schould i espect to be on the Power Button ? Because i can only read 0.24 V on my Ps4 on the Power Button . This Ps4 wont turn on at all. i found out that the line filters on the HDMI Chip are all shorted to ground. I removed the Chip an the short was gone ! But the Problem remains i think its another short somewhere !
I bet this man drops some unleaded solder into his tea every now and then just to stay on top of his game.
My ps4 cost me 60 € 3 years ago without any problem I still had the warranty seals and I was the one who opened it for the first time to change the thermal grease and it is working like new until today
Would you happen to have the hdmi Pins Layout Diagram for the ps4 pro?
Hello!! What program do you use to output images from a microscope to a computer? Thanks!)
Hello and great video! Is there an alternative via for pin 19? The one on my repair is too corroded to solder to, the help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Hello yeah there is a alternative pin you can solder on a smd diod 6j there are 2 of them you must solder it on the up one !
Best regards,
how do you get your overcoat pen to flow that well?
Que estación de soldadura tenes? Saludos desde Argentina 🙌🏻😄
Do you use insulated or uninsulated jumper wire for these?
So, did it work? Can you share that with us if it has been working for him? Thanks
where can you buy the green paint you use in this video?
Do you use insulated or uninsulated wire to do this?
Even though they are grounds ,do you still need to connect them?and if so where to connect them ,please let me know.
a doubt, I carried out the replacement of the hdmi connector but the screen just flashes what can it be?
How often do you get botched repair items? I bet that’s frustrating.
By the way, you have amazing skills.
Hmm ... differential pairs should have the same length if you change it too much that can lead you to hdmi problems.
from where to find circuit diagrams
what kind of microscope you are using?
this jobe take lot of work and time
so when the pads are brownish they need to be rewired?great vid btw
If you rip the pad out of the board so you can see the second layer of board then you need to rewire them. You can see in this video the top layer of the board is green and he ripped that layer totally out.
hello friend what flux do you use to replace hdmi ps4 ?
Have you ever gotten a gray snow picture like a old tv with no channels? I'm getting HDMI signal but it's pure grey and goes to a black screen. Blinking back and forth.
Leg 6, which is NC, where is it placed?
Well if the person who sents the board to you is a not honest costumer, it will say to you that board is not fixed, it will pay you only 50, when probably is fixed. thats why you said that if will be not fixed you charge 50? or you always do?
Nice video BTW!
On of my pins ripped in half how do I fix that?
How much do you charge to redo a HDMI on a PlayStation 4 and the pins
What size wire you using I have been doing some practicing I got a PS4 board that I've been using for practice the pins were fine on this board I have pulled the pins my self so I can use it to practice I have no other wire but ordered 0.10mm in hope it's the same as your using the thicker wire is to hard to sculp.
I’m curious about that too! You ever received that 0.10mm? Is that thin enough like what he’s using in the video?
@@ArmanBahmani I just got the 0.10mm and it worked great just the right size even a little thicker will do the job the stuff I thought was a little thick was 0.35mm really easy to bend compared to the last wire.
Can you please sir tell me that with what chemecal you wash after soldering.
You can use alcohol
How come this time you repaired the traces after you soldered in the HDMI port
do i actually need a wick
Why dose the pads lift and traces get damage?
Sir if we lost the components behind the HDMI port
Will it work?
Can someone please tell me what is the green glue used after the jumper wires?

Help !!!! can someone tell me which ps4 is this ?? Or is the same diagram for the fat and slim ??
Hola tengo un problema con el diodo que se encuentra en la linea 9 alguien podría ayudarme? soy de argentina
my ps4 only sound but not video,i made a proof whit an other hdmi cable and the same, how can be the fail?
Sincere question:
Why not use insulated wire? Is it a lot more expensive?
I'm about to enter the world of electronic repair (just for myself at first) and it seems like a basic insulated wire would alleviate a lot of that minute routing work.
I think those wires are in fact insulated, with a thin coating
@@wild8528
Oh, ok. Thanks for the reply.
@@DannyWilliamH My pleasure.
Like Carlos said, those are insulated wires. Thin insulation, but insulated nonetheless.
He routed the wires to help eliminate the possibility of a short in case the insulation were to wear, and also for aesthetic purposes. He also applied an overcoat to keep those wires from moving -- further reducing the chance that the insulation could wear by rubbing on something, or possibly breaking a connection to a component or the respective pin on the HDMI, etc.
It was executed perfectly. The only thing I was going to tease him with is the fact that he checked continuity after he had already applied the overcoat lol. Noticed he had trouble testing a couple pins that were buried underneath it after.
Bonjour s'il vous plaît où je peux trouver les schémas des cartes mères De consoles
How much does repair cost ( hdmi)
Watch the video!!! 😁
HI I HAVE PROBLE USB PORT SAB-001 NOT CONECTIONG NOT CHARGING
does it matter which side of the component you solder the jumper wire onto?
Yes. Very important.
I use wires with enamel coating instead.
You still want a silicone coating or overcoat pen to secure the wires to the board for support so that the wires don't move and rip from where you soldered them.
@@B9NE that I always do. The one that hardens when UV light is applied
PS4 boards have a similar tendency of being beaten to death🤔🤔
Wouldnt it be chaper to just buy a new board lol
would basically mean buying another PS4............ so no
