As a kid growing up in the island, I seen your professionalism. Many years ago, we only had one fire truck...in Angra...none in Praia..man the Americans many times helped during fires...it is sad to see now that Lajes is nothing what used to be. Thank you for all you did to my born land and all it was done to Terceira. Probably the only American base that nationals and Americans co existed in harmony... sad to see the old days go...
