Great video! You and I have a lot of the same books too. I joined the FB group a couple months ago; what a great group! I am learning a lot of background info that EC related books do not cover.
I'd like to see some enterprising artistic person put out a model kit of one of those typical Wally Wood spaceships of his from his WEIRD SCIENCE/FANTASY/WEIRD SCIENCE-FANTASY era---you know, those jet-plane-ish, chromed ships with 4-tank-tipped wings, air scoops and detailed plating. Almost made one myself a few years back but ran out of time. I'm kinda surprised no has made any toys/figures etc from those EC sf titles! Cool if someone did! I'd jump at getting one of those!
@@ecfan-addict9477 I myself... am missing the "Gunfighter"./Saddle Justice .set..... and ...Moon Girl/Modern Love set.. I have the Mad color set.. but only 2 volumes of the black and white MAD set.. ... I am Not sure which set of Weird Science I have .. I am guessing it is the first issue.. since back in the 80's I was getting these via mail order as soon as they were being released..
@@ecfan-addict9477 well I am not computer savvy enough to show all of my E.C. stuff on video.. but I can state in addition to what I already have shared... I have about 40 original E.C.'s a few "Squatront's" about 300 different MAD paperbacks.. Choke and Gasp.. and about every publication.. such as "Good days and Mad" etc.. that has every been produced... at least 2 of those "Horror Comics Library" books from the 70's that you have 3 of depicted on your lower shelf at the beginning of this video.. some portfolios.. the book..."the MAD world of William Gaines... ".. by Frank Jacobs.. lots of other E.C. and MAD memorabilia.. BUT.. the only Non.. books and magazines I own.. are a complete set of six "tales from the Crypt".. drink coasters.. and a couple different Alfred E. Neuman bobble heads....oh yeah.. besides MAD trading cards... I have a MAD board game from the 80's... and a Trump/ Neuman metal.. medal.. I may have some other odds and ends scattered around as well that are alluding me right now.. after all I started buying Mad off the newstands..in 1964.. and E.C. related material.. in the early 70's...

I have a question/comments/thoughts about a very obscure story he did back in the mid-50's that has haunted me ever since I first saw it/read it. It took me many years to track it down again, not knowing the comic it appeared in, or even the story's title! At the very least I WOULD LOVE TO WRITE HIM A FAN LETTER!---An actual handwritten one! @@ecfan-addict9477 One unrelated (specifically, that is) anecdote I thought you might find of some interest: I first discovered EC's by walking home from our local grocery store in 1958 at 10 years of age. I literally came across a perfectly "preserved" copy of IMPACT #1, with famous Krigstein story just lying in the grass in a field that I had to walk through to get home. Talk about being impressed!!---especially since the only comics the stores local to me (in/around Detroit) were rather bland DC sf/mystery titles and Dell's "funny animal" comics. I knew about the holocaust, having been born not long after the WAR, there was no way at the time to NOT know about it. But that story, and the quality of that issue alone informed me I had stumbled---almost literally--upon something in the comics realm that was a whole new level of storytelling, art and smart "purpose". That that Krigstein story should be my conscious introduction to EC's seems a bit of Fate tapping on my shoulder (or, in this case, the tip of my shoe!). And, then, the hunt for copies of this now "long-gone" company's other titles and issues. (In fact, a few of the EC'S had been around/I had glanced them at my uncle's house, but I had been too young to have any idea what they were about, as these were just glimpses and I wasn't reading yet. IMPACT #1 sure had its, well, uh, impact! Thanks again!

That's Vol. 2 of the leather bound gold-leaf Archives that Russ offered briefly. I bought it because at the time I did not have Kamen's autograph, and this was a limited edition signed by him. Darn it, I should have talked about it in the video! Maybe I'll film a little update to this about it. Cheers!
Holy shit. What a great collection and room. Any idea when we’ll see Complete EC Archives/color? I’m a completionist, and don’t like the idea of the artist specific editions.
No idea - they've been coming out slowly but surely, and if you don't mind the mismatched spines due to different publishers it's possible to complete them eventually - but I don't think there are any plans for any slipcased sets of those.
I collect comics but cant take credit for the EC collection my lovely aunt Mary gave me. Beautiful conditioned series of MAD and Crypt and on anon. I started reading them and fell hard. Not sure what you mean about B and W Mad as I have two copies of the colored comic series. What did you mean by B and W Mad? Anyone?
