- Need help! I can’t get the CTS monitor to link up with the standalone harness. Please any and all help to get this linked up would be outstanding!
I did get the wiring harnesses pretty much complete off the original humvee and got all the transmission crap removed!

Your edge module could be looking for the trucks BCM (body control module) if the ECM was programmed to bypass the immobilizer most likely it was programmed to work without communicating with the BCM there for the edge might not be able to communicate with the ECM . That’s just a thought hope it may help you
Thanks for the info! Yeah that makes perfect sense. I actually just got off the phone with edge for the 3rd time… Apparently if I can get them to slow down the canbus signal It could possibly work, But it won’t work with the CTS3 I’m probably gonna have to try to return it and see if I can get a CTS2. They said the two is more programmable
@@SplitBuilds ok that sounds good give that a try see what happens .
Wish I could help on the edge! It simply should have worked. Hope you get a good answer from someone. Maybe the Duramax stand alone computer and harness seller has some insight. Awesome job on weeding out the harness for the lights and small remnants needed 💪 simply stripped down to the bare necessities.
Thanks! I reached out to the harness builder and he’s gonna get back with me tomorrow
Hey!! Love the videos keep it up brother
Thanks brother
great job and video as usual
I have a question please
the steel plate you are going to use
is it going to be in the dashboard form outside or from inside
to cover the gap were the gages used to be
It’s going to be on the outside where I bolted it down to. You’ll see as progress happens
Love the content been here since the beginning. Would you be able to do a video on getting your humvee titled for on road? I know It varies from state to state but it would be cool to have an idea of it before I buy mine!
It will vary Drastically state to state. 1, get the sf-50. Next get insurance through Grundy or Hagerty cause of the vin. #3 well in GA form T-22B have a deputy come out and verify and run wants/warrant check on the vin. Then turn everything into the tag office will the bill of sale from IronPlanet too
Great work on the harness, looks like a pain to not harm anything removing the stock covering. 2 questions: 1) I am 6' so the stock dash sucks for me to see anything, are you going to be able to see the Edge where you mounted it? Lots of key information coming from it. 2) what's the story on the rear drive shaft? 3) added a third question, are going to run and standalone critical gauges, like Coolant Temp and Oil Pressure or relying solely on the Edge?
No the mesh comes off the original harness just have to be careful not to hit the wires really not too bad just time consuming. Yeah the dash does suck but it’s no different than where the stock gauges are because you really can’t see them anyway, shouldn’t be too bad. Still haven’t had a real driveshaft made yet still looking for a company. The edge should supply most of the temps etc. hopefully if not I’ll have to add some gauges
Do you have another scan tool you can try? Are the pins in the correct cavities on the C2 ECM connector? Pin 44 should be tan and 57 should be brown. They need to be twisted for the entire length as well. Who built the harness?
So the CTS3 works in my other Duramax. So I know it’s not the unit. I’ve reached out to the Harness builder, it was a company. I’ll check the pins when I get home. Thanks for the info!
Ok, stupid question, perhaps. Does this setup have/need an OBD II connector?
Yes it’s has an OBD2 connector. It still reads all engine codes etc…
