Love trapping! I'm lucky to have a body of water that has billion of them in clean mountain water and mini lobster size. Nice video bud.
O dang! Yea I wish we had bigger ones out here like back East but I take what I can get 🤣🤘🏼
I just bought a bunch of the same traps to try this year. My others made of a net type material couldn’t withstand the current and sticks in the river I trap them in. Nice to see these work. Try suspending the chicken from the too next time so they don’t eat it through the trap. Forced them to climb in to try and get some.
That’s a great idea!! Thanks man 👊🏼 this spring I’m going after the bigger ones
@@CrankNReels I usually trap them in rocky areas along shore and dams but I’m gonna experiment with some deeper rocky areas this year to see how it goes. Good luck!

looks awesome, what we do up here in the sierras CA with big old crawdads is add a hand full of cornstarch the day before, and leave them circulating in almost like a fish tank. purges all the crap that they might have been eating
Nice little meal of Crawfish
Thanks man 🙏

Family guy on the TV in the background
Haha yes 👍🏼
Your accent sounds like the Delta Utah area. My family is from there but I now live in Wyoming. Unmistakeable is that accent😀 and as soon as I heard you talking I figured it was somewhere in that area, am I right? Also, if you are a Utah fella You should give strawberry reservoir a shot with crayfish. The most I ever caught in Utah came out of strawberry. Insane amounts.
Haha you are correct🤣😂 that’s crazy! And yea I’m heading to strawberry soon to catch some of them mini lobsters!! 🤘🏼
I'm from Delta too . Small world
I was checking out the background also . He does have that accent
That’s a meal
Great video where is this at
Thanks man! Southern Utah!
@@CrankNReels do a cougar catch n cook
You can use fish nets and you need a bucket 🪣 you don’t have to use those traps just to catch it.
@@FunkyMonkeySpank all I did was grabbing them by using tongs 😂 and put them in a bucket. Catch about 78lbs of crawfish
@@FunkyMonkeySpank this was In Sacramento County rice field at private areas and I know the owner of the property and owns multiple acres
I don't catch shit in mine. I used to do better with a seine, but I can't seine anymore because of my back.
O no I’m sorry to here that. Yea I got better nets that work a bit better for me.
lol. where are you from?
Utah not the best place to catch crawfish for sure 🤣
I use bacon in my trap
Bacon is good to!!
