your video came up and i was knitting so i watched it. then i realized i was subscribed to your channel. and then you mentioned Charlie. and it clicked . you have a Charlie vibe. good story teller, slightly awkard, a touch rambling. all heart. thanks!
I hit the trust button months ago- thank you Kyle for all the great videos! Beyond being a talented full time artist/musician and a gifted storyteller, you are a teacher at heart, with a truly unique perspective. Take care of your family, I trust we'll see you again!
You know, framing it the way you just did, I think that’s why making vids is so rewarding. It’s one of the few outlets I know of where i can exercise so many interests at once. It means a lot to hear that from you bud and I’m looking forward to putting more out there soon!
Congratulations on moving forward, Kyle. I appreciate your videos and stumbled across your channel on a Charlie Parr rabbit hole. I'm here for pretty much anything. You come across as real and passionate about music and life. There is an honesty in your work. One thing about change is that it's constant. And having kids definitely changes one's perspective. I have a fondness for old buildings. Even if we didn't get to see what's on the other side of that door. Quite the history. Thank you for doing what you do and sharing it with the rest of us. Be good to you 🙏🏻🤍
Man that is some wisdom. Thanks for that, as per usual! I’m so glad that you’ve been here all the while, and am stoked that you’ll be here when I get set up again! Take good care Scott.
Sometime i have the nosalgie of blues origines, learning about the way they where mostly on the road, playing music for the music and giving such a wonderful legacy, another world stuck in my head.
This comment slipped by me but thanks Jacob!! Means a lot. I should get you the show sometime. Be cool to do a classical guitar technique breakdown for all these finger stylers
Good luck, Kyle. You are doing the right thing. Family has to be first priority. That said, you can make UA-cam videos with a smart phone, in your living room. The power of the videos is you and what you have to say, not the studio you film them in. I'll still keep watching your videos, regardless of where or how you film them. Also, thanks for being real. I have been where you are now, and totally understand. Hell, I'm going through a rough patch right now, myself. Do what you have to do. Hopefully you'll be back soon, with more videos. Courage.
Well I didn't see that coming. I wish you well with a heart and a half. I'll miss visiting your studio and your sunny disposition. God bless, all the best, life goes on. See you soon.
I only recently discovered your videos, but I hope you keep making them. I can tell you I have enjoyed watching them because of you, not your studio, and you'll always have yourself. I appreciate the fact that you've shared your extensive knowledge about playing guitar, about music history and the interviews with amazing people. I also enjoy your positivity. I noticed you kept your Ear Trumpet mic and your camera, so I hope we keep seeing you here! But if not, I wish you well. P.S. Maybe it's time to make a record!
you're going to do great at the new space! i hope we keep seeing you on here as i love the content. please do a deep dive on the old calypso stuff like particularly blind blake higgs i always love paul geremia 's cover of jones oh jones and that sent into exploring blind blake enlighten us to the secrets of that style! songs like love, love alone
Thanks dude!! Oh I’m def not staying away too long! Just gotta get everything in order. Dude I love that idea. I had a video idea a while back comparing the two blind Blake’s. I just may have to see that through. Thanks for being here dude!
Good unfoldings to ya. New chapter unfolds.... I know that probably everyone who watches wants to keep watching. So we'd all love the vids to continue. Also, you could teach people how to make vids as your editing and flow are top notch. Could be another source of income. Anyway, best of luck to ya and the family and the new space.
Thanks dude!! In regards to a vid on editing, man I’ve honest-to-goodness never considered that. Haha. It’s totally self taught and probably so ass-backwards. But glad it comes across alright and I’ll try to think of a way to incorporate it somewhere! Do you have a channel too?
@@kostringworks I have some creepy, surreal, silent short films on my channel that I made thru the years; but still am a complete beginner who hasn't edited it years; but thinking of getting Final Cut Pro X for myself for Xmas to get back into it. But I meant you could teach people how to edit in your town, just a thought... guitar lessons and editing lessons at your spot. Id love to know what you know, they are solid vids.
I can totally understand that I have two kids, but I’m still making a living on Art, once you get settled, you will find your way back to having this part back in your life❤ I’m sure
That’s fantastic. It’s been a trip how much more it all means. Stoked for you, your family and your art. That inspires me so much to hear. See you soon!
Ive been driving past that church since I was a little kid and have always wondered what was in it, why it doesnt get used, etc. This is just blowing my mind right now.
Beautiful Bitter Sweet video Kyle , I learned a lot from your videos and enjoyed them much best to you and yours and I look forward to running into you again on youtube I am a subscriber ... as Chuck Berry said LET IT ROLL ON Brother !
Strong melancholia here. Seems like i was always a fingertip away from my dream. You know, you are supposed to be. If you're not always almost there, youre not dreaming big enough. It hurt me to downsize. Instruments I've had forever had to go. Newest stuff first of course, stuff i cant play anymore. Expensive decorations. I regularly play 6 guitars, i had better than 60 instruments, but it hurt, like i was stepping back. No more studio, no more bus, no more trucks, all gone. Put my life in a book and call it how far can you fall. And its okay. Im where i need to be right now. I wish I had your problems facing me again. You're looking at the greatest time of any mans life. Good or bad, you will look back and cherish every moment, and you will miss it. Im jealous of you. Condolences and congratulations. Always love, love always
Dunno how this comment slipped passed me! Yeah man it’s been a trip, I’m just here for the ride! Sounds like you’ve had quite the trip too, grateful to hear your insight.
So since you're asking, more videos and info on 12 strings. Particularly long scale baritone 12s. I nearly destroyed my $3500 guitar yesterday out of pure ignorance. Finding any info or guidance on these is next to impossible online or in my area. I'd be willing to pay your Patreon for regular content about it. 😁
@kostringworks I tuned up too high and it bellied. But I caught it just in time. It has gone back to normal, something I didn't think would be possible.
Thanks for all you do and congratulations on the addition to the family. An inspiring story.
Thanks Issam! Appreciate it, and you being here so much!

Ha, hey I’ll take it! Thanks for sharing your knitting time with me!
A trust button. That’s really good. I trust that things will work out well for you and your family.
Ha, niiiiice. Thanks Mike!

It's very admirable what you began in that space and glad that things are continuing in a new form. All the best to you and your family.

Townes Van Zandt from a wealthy family very much shunned having comfort for his art. Your videos are awesome
Hey thanks man! Appreciate you being here all these vids! Be back soon!
Best wishes Kyle! Duluth can be too small sometimes for small specialty businesses such as your excellent service
