- Today I return to one of my favorite mods for Hearts of Iron 4 - The Great War mod but this time adding in the MEGASUBMOD which makes a variety of changes. In typical Rambler fashion not everything goes to plan however.

I love your mod.
I've only got a problem with it, and it's actually a big one. Why does china join the Entente? I don't think it's historically accurate, bust most importantly they just spam an f ton of troops everywhere in Europe, they make the war impossibile to win for an AI central powers
@@zanzao-1ps318 China technically did join the war, but since they didn't actually send any troops, it's probably better to portray them in-game as neutral, maybe some events the boost Entente manpower at best.

I mean one could argue that Japan didn't send any troops to Europe either, so at this point it would be fair to include China joining in the game.
However, Japan occupied Germany's far eastern colonies, so they did contribute to the war effort in some way.
China didn't really do anything at all to be honest.
@@zanzao-1ps318 China sent hundreds of thousands of workers to the European front. That freed up a massive workforce that the Entente could then send to the front lines. That is why I suggested a manpower boost. You may look up the Chinese Labor Corps for more information.

I just realized that its funny that Austria-Hungary and the ottomans were allies during WWI, since they were rivals for a long time

Alex needs to realize playing in the Balkans brings in a lot of views
Get the max level of trench you can have, slap heavy artillery in your divisions, and you’ll have 600 (on average) defense every time the enemy attacks you. Keep in mind, everything in this World War One mod was debuffed to hell so enemy divisions do (on average again) 7 to 11 attack damage.
13:50 FYI Karl wasn't Franz Joseph's son. Franz Joseph's son commited suicide many years before the war. Karl was a rather distant relative being Franz Joseph's grand nephew I believe.

Actually, as far as I know, the Maginot is near Nancy since it was a ww1-quality defence to prevent the Germans from invading.

Had that happen once. Played as Fascist Hungary and Germany made the big brain decision to declare war on the Soviets in 1938. Had to hold the line against them in the Carpathians until 1941 and then just decided this wasn't worth it anymore and quit the game.
