The only thing I hate about installing mods in gta 5 is that you need to copy the whole directory of files to the mods folder. Any solutions? I'm completely new to modding, it has been a frustrating experience to say the least.
1:45 Additional requirement: Decent laptop or PC specifications that were released in the last 5-6 years. Old iGPUs are not recommended. I cannot use the overloader feature because FusionFix's console-like effects and other graphical improvements cannot be disabled for stable framerate on a low-end laptop. Better to save up money and buy a Vulkan-compatible GPU for the DXVK plugin, because that's what the authors of FF consider all users must be using, but does not mention it's required explicitly for other GPU-tensing graphical features. It's a pity essential features like these are pretty much indirectly locked because the graphical improvements featured, make the gaming experience a hell for gamers like me. :(
Fusion OverLoader will still work. Just delete the files in the update folder that come with Fusion Fix. Fusion Overloader is made possible through the FusionFix plugin and Ultimate ASI Loader. Most of the graphical improvements are done through shaders, which you just have to remove yourself in the update folder.

@@TJGM Off-topic sorry but do you have a recommendation for a trainer that'll work with FF? I've tried Liberty Legacy trainer and it doesn't appear to work. I'd love to have a working trainer so I can easily cache as fast as possible
@@TJGM That's shocking. The last time I used the FF overloader with the whole shaders update out, it crashed my game every time. Now, it worked just fine.
u gonna make a modlist thats supportig fusion ?
it is so amazing
Wow finally, Gta sa with mod loader was so easy to work now they got it for Iv too. Sadly Gta v is still pain in the ass to mod.
And how could it work with script mods? I mean, do I need to keep using scripthook and install the mods there, or can I just put them in a script folder in the update folder? Please answer.
I am in the same situation. I have tried so many ways but still haven't found one. If you do please let me know
@@DAVE0DENIS01 i keep using the traditional way to install scripts mods… and ive been seeing videos, like “trainers” and those install on the traditional way, apart of the fusion
@@mattjk1377 yeah I tried putting the scripts folder in numerous locations in the update folder and tried without a scripts folder and put the mod in numerous locations as well. Sucks because I would like the game to look good while I did OHKO
genial amigo, saludos desde argentina
Wow that’s cool
good stuff, btw really need to ask about asi and cs mods, can they work with only fusion overloader and if so how to do so?
why isnt the mod archive showing up?
Hello friend, if possible, could you make a tutorial on how to install Farnsworth Business Mod?
Very unlikely, I've already got so much to do. But you never know 😅
I have Fusion Fix and ultimate asi loader installed, when I boot the game up it shows the in game startup EULA messages and plays the gta 4 load screen music, then instantly crashes. Anytips to resolve?
Can the update folder be used for add real cars?
Thanks a lot, btw if i just install fusion overloader, does it have all things i need for my pc version look like the ps one?
How do I know when a mod support Fusion Overload?
This mod has a similar character to GTA5's Mods folder
Out of nowhere options like screen filter and bloom effect don't work, why does this happen?
IMG? So... a Disc Image... in theory could it be possible for someone to just grab the PS3 version patched and instead of turning it into an ISO for an emulator, turn it into an IMG and throw it in? could that be another alternative to getting console graphics?
also just incase this seems like a dumb question, I know nothing about the modding scene nor own the game on PC due to how much ive heard of the performance issues over the years, but recently played Chinatown Wars (I love it ok...) and decided I wanted to get back into GTA IV after all these years and so I've been eyeing it on steam and watching these videos.
in short, I know nothing about modding but I'm starting to learn out of interest to decide whether I'm gonna buy the game or not.
@@SonakaG No, these IMG archives are game specific formats. The archives themselves and the files in them have to be converted to work on PC.
@@TJGM ah I see, that's ok tho, I caught up with your other videos throughout the day and I'm honestly surprised by how easy it is to setup mods, I was especially worried I wouldn't be able to play since I only have a Steam Deck and no traditional desktop or laptop. Thanks for the reply and clarification though, I appreciate it.
what about script mods?
my fps is single digit now! how tf! please help!
how about modding a behavior of something in the game, like the camera
So do you still recommend playing the ce or the 10.7.0 now that they have support with fusionfix
Brother, do you know of any trainer that works with this? Thanks!!
Same as BLT folder when modding for Payday 2
sorry overdrive folder but also btl LOl1
Is there a way to install new player mnodels? (player.rpf) I have downlaoded some archives that need to be stored in player.rpf. However I tried to mirror the route (pc/models/cdimages/player.prf) but it does not works. So I trried to copy the original player.rpf and put the archieves in that player.rpf but it still doesn't working.
PSDT: I don't know why but somestimes if I use OenIV or add some folders GTA IV is not able to be launched. I have the Steam version and it calls the rockstar games launcher but it still starting and afret exiting and thats all.
Will fusion overloader load a mod inside a folder? for example is i put "mod.img" inside a folder called "1" will fusion overloader load that mod? or i have to place the mod.img inside the "Update" folder?
fusion fix graphics options were NOT there no Depth of field or Anything
Had a problem with launching the game
It keeps saying I'm running backwards compatibility on FusionFix mod, I already have the most recent ASI Loader and xliveless addon but it still gives the same message
Hi! Some mods that aren't .img files are required to be place inside the main directory folder where the GTAIV.exe is. So, what can I do to mirror that path inside the update folder?
thank you in advance.
PS: meanwhile, I'll place those files inside the update folder without creating an specific folder. (1.0.7.0)
super usefull mods, thank you! just have a problem that when I minimize the game I cant go back, it all appears black, any solution?
I don't really want to turn your comment section into this but do you know of a speedometer or cheat menu I just got GTA IV complete edition on Steam because the Xbox 360 versions you can no longer save as of the 2nd of April and the first thing I want to do with this PC version is quality of life or mode menu.
did fusion fix remove pcss shadows? cuz i dont got that option on it
I made the UPDATE folder in gta 4. How do I make the img archive? I can't figure this part out
This is literally how you mod gta v
Yes but now supports the janky ass GTA IV pc port? Isnt that great?
god damn this is a huge pain
i’m not sure how to drag the mods into gta iv. when i go to “my pc” it doesn’t show gta there
How do you install weapon skins? I tried mirroring the files and placed the two files to change the M4 skin, but it didn't do anyhting. I stll have the stock M4 model, any ideas or help please?
i used your vehicle mod but i think something's wrong, when i double click on the img file it says the file is corrupted? and im not sure if i noticed a change with the vehicles textures, please respond. note though the the fusion fix i working fine and so does the game
How can i replace a vanilla car with a real one?
after installing some mods, how should i launch the game? Through steam or the GTAIV.exe file?
Where do you get IMG mods though? I'm looking at car mods and none of them are IMG files. Very confused.
hi the last version of today still working for 1070 and 1080?
just rename dimput8 to xlive?
Is there a way to install (replace) rpf files with the overloader?
So... if you downgraded gta 4 to say .7 version even with Fusion Fix and Zolikia.asi none o this will work? I have the complete edition, just downgarded to the older version for more mod support.
can you make a video of installing icenhancer becuase whenever i do so, it doesnt work and the specs on my pc is compatible
when i installed fussion fix the game doesn't save data ? can solve ?
Is there any way to use liberty's legacy or any other mod menu with fusion?
what about the added car mods?
how about script mods where do I put them?
if so , how can i install a mod menu then ? just the normal process
What about scripts mod for latest version of complete edition on steam ? Thanks
Why when I try to put something in update does the game just not start?
So how does this work for something like the car shop mod?
Where it has .ini files and a .dll file?
Hey, you said that FusionFix supports 1070 and 1080 now, but in the latest release version, it still only supports the complete edition. Any insight on that? thanks
Sorry, I was waiting on some additional information. I've updated the pinned comment with more details on how to get it working.
@@TJGMthank you
I tried and during each attempt, it crashes during loading screen. @@TJGM
Would this work with ELS V8.5.1?
I need help. I have the complete edition on Rockstar games launcher, but the game won't start. If I delete the files, the game will launch
Any solutions?
