Great video, Guys! From my experience with the game, this is how I'd rank the bosses from hardest to easiest (fought all bosses without summoning or using spirit ashes):
1. Radahn, Consort of Miquella (151 deaths)
2. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight (55 deaths)
3. Bayle, the Dread (22 deaths)
4. Commander Gaius (16 deaths)
5. Messmer, the Imapler (16 deaths)
6. Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame (14 deaths)
7. Putrescent Knight (6 deaths)
8. Metyr, Mother of Fingers (2 deaths)
9. Golden Hippopotamus (1 death)
10. Romina, Saint of the Bud (1 death)
11. Gank Fight (1 death)
12. Divine Beast Dancing Lion (0 deaths)
13. Scaudtree Avatar (0 deaths)
I must have gotten lucky with Dancing Lion, as I managed to eke out a victory with no flasks left and was one hit away from death. I may have been overleveled for the fight, as well. Radahn is far and away the hardest FromSoft boss I've ever beaten, as well as the third hardest for me in any game, behind Nightmare King Grimm (never fought Absolute Radiance) from Hollow Knight and Sisyphus Prime from Ultrakill.

You know what Radahn needed . . .life-steal, and status effects, and two health bars, and he needs to dodge. He could even use an arena covering, undodgeable murder-cyclone attack.
In short: I feel like Malenia is still harder, we're just experience a sort of recency bias that'll fade in a few months, that might just be my 22 traumatic hours of fighting her speaking lol.
Happy that the Dancing Lion ranks this high. It really is a tough dance and just cause it’s the first big boss of the dlc doesn’t mean it’s easy
I personally find it easy but everyone’s always different with these games. I struggled bigtime with Metyr though
@@joeydrummer7929i find him one of the lesser hard too ( though we are speaking of DLC, soo every main boss is like 5/10 on dificulty ) specially when lion is scaled much less than the rest of the bosses, like he had 22K hp and not that crazy damage, the rest has like 30K+ ( unless you are taking the reposte on the scadutree avatar )
@@jajasking9652 yea forsure. I beat him 2nd try in my first playthrough of the DLC and am doing my 2nd playthrough now and I got him first try this time . Every other boss took me at LEAST 10 tries a few of them took me over 50. 1st time I did it with my faith/strength build and this recent time I’m doing a playthrough where I kinda try a bunch of different weapons and have respec’d a multiple times . At the time I fought him I was trying out Eleonora’s poleblade cause I’ve never used it before and found out that he’s fuckin DEVASTATED by bleed. I almost no hit him . Melted his health in like 20 seconds he had only a 3rd of his health left and dead by 45 seconds I swear lol. So if anyone’s struggling with him try a bleed build and you’ll annihilate him haha.

215. That’s how many attempts I took on Radahn. This is a boss that I’ve been split on for quite some time, I love many aspects of the fight, but despise others. For the most part I like his moveset and the smaller holy AOEs were a great way to up the challenge, but the learning of how to deal with some of his crazy ass clone moves wasn’t that fun to me. Since my first playthrough, I’ve done 2 more and even helped a couple other people beat the boss. Radahn is definitely the pinnacle of difficulty in the souls series, and a great conclusion to Elden Ring despite feeling frustrating to learn.
Pretty much agree. Though if we're going by attempts my first playthrough went something like this
1) Promised Crash Out Radahn (111 attempts)
2) Messmer the Imapler (30 attempts)
3) Rellana, Twin Moon Knight (19 attempts)
4) Divine Beast Dancing Lion (13 attempts)
5) Bayle the Dread (13 attempts)
6) Commander Gaius (12 attempts)
7) Romina, Saint of the Bud (11 attempts)
8) Scadutree Avatar (10 attempts)
9) Metyr, Mother of Fingers (8 attempts)
10) Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame (7 attempts)
11) Putrescent Knight (6 attempts)
12) Golden Hippopotamus (4 attempts)
13) Gank Squad v2 (3 attempts)
I agree with the difficulty ranking overall I was certainly playing stupid during some of these and I was at varying Scadutree levels when I met everyone. Radahn is most certainly the hardest boss I ever fought and the hardest thing From Soft ever made (so far). Parrying Radahn felt really good too, it sorta scripts him with good RNG. It also makes sure you don't have to deal with all of his strings, so I spent half of my attempts nailing down the parry timing before beating him. I fought Romina on VC with friends and was having a whole ass conversation while fighting her, so I'm pretty sure I could have beaten her sooner if I was by myself lol

So a couple things for those looking to shield tank Radahn. You’ll want to get yourself a shield with a guard boost of 70 or higher, pretty much any upgraded greatshield works but my favorite is the golden greatshield due to its high physical and holy block and you will want to invest in upgrading the shield because the guard boost increase is significant. And with a good shield you can just face tank is light of god Death Star laser for minimal damage and a decent punish window.
Alternatively a heater shield with a guard boost of 60 or more can also work wonders if you’re confident in your ability to parry him because you can parry a surprisingly high number of his attacks in both phases.
Now as for weapon I’d recommend something with a fairly quick counter attack, I used the Milady Light great sword but if you wanna shield poke with a spear go for it. Slap on bleed, poison, or frostbite if you want to increase damage.
Lastly physic tears. I’d recommend the deflecting hard tear to give you Sekiro deflections as that will keep your stamina from taking a beating from his attacks. I didn’t use the power within tear but you could stack the two together and all of a sudden his 45000ish HP won’t seem so daunting.
Also while not related to the strategy his stagger gauge is still applied when in air and is carried over between phases leading to really funny instances if he gets staggered while in midair prepping an attack.
I'm actually working on a guard counter build rn (I fucking love guard counters). Something I've had success with in the past is dodging part of a combo and guard countering the last hit. Think that'd be viable?
@@kartikayysola it can be. Generally I’d recommend that more if you have a larger stamina bar to work with. It’ll ultimately come down to personal preference

Dayum, comparing Consort Radahn to a Geometry Dash Extreme Demon didn’t cross my mind at first. But yea, I kind of can agree. Even if it took me less time to beat Consort Radahn than Malenia the first time, my prior experiences in the game, especially against Malenia, helped teach me that even moves that looked outright impossible to dodge on first glance like Waterfowl Dance can be dealt with and through that, my learning process with Promised Consort went faster than I would expect but yea, strip me of those experiences and I can imagine taking up to 30 hours to beat him as opposed to the 13 hours I spent beating him.
So yea, Promised Consort is easily the hardest boss Fromsoft has ever made and one of the hardest soulslike bosses outside of modded ones I’ve ever faced, alongside Blade Bearer and Cannoneer from Code Vein. (Unalloyed Malenia is still the queen of difficulty if modded bosses were included)

fun fact if you're going pure glass cannon like I am (11 vigor) I found Dancing lion so much easier to Bayle. On entrance dancing Lion is entirely blockable with the Stone Shield but Bayle's breath attacks and grabs make him a near certain death for me if I can't dodge it. Lion also has more tricks up his sleeve which caught me off guard but once done I could roughly get how to manage them or recover the chip damage. Bayle is a full truck and if you have good knowledge of his moves you better perfect it or it's instant death.
I'm pretty surprised that I actually almost perfectly agree with your ranking here. The only thing I disagree with is Divine Beast Dancing Lion, which I thought was (relatively) pretty easy. I think I'd compare it to Nameless King or something in terms of difficulty - definitely not an easy boss in general, but compared to a lot of the other fights it wasn't bad at all. I think I would put it right under Midra. But hey, everyone has different opinions.
While I disagree with the placement of dancing lion, he gets melted by fire, it's definitely weird how a lot of the toughest bosses are frontloaded in the DLC.
Yeah, Dancing Lion was actually one of the easier bosses for me in the DLC, but Rellana took me over 3 hours to beat. Massive difficulty spike over anything Elden Ring had thrown at the player up to that point in my opinion.
Honestly idk if this sounds weird but Radahn being the most brutally difficult boss in the series made him by far my favorite, I found the experience difficult but at no points would I say that it was 'unfair', and I've never felt a better experience than beating him finally after 12 hours of attempts 😤🙏
This dlc has been such a struggle🥵. My ranking would be something like this:

Radhan was definitely the hardest boss for me. I had to cheese it with pest thread spears. That flash bang phase 2 is extremely annoying

Man my asshole will never recover from Radahn. He was a lit harder on second character, just because i couldnt remember which scadutree fragment i missed…
I had to resort to using a greatshield, but i didnt really make use of guard counters. Guess i should have.

I agree rellana and radahn are by far the hardest bosses. Rellana has so much bs. Even if you memorize everything there still a possibility she either continues the combo.
