There is just something about Bell Gardens it has a Mystique that is un-explainable only way to get that feeling is to have grown up in Bell Gardens Aka as Billy Goat Acres.
Bell Gardens Ca 🌴 is actually nice now, you should see how much the homes are worth and run around here 💰💰💵 , good video though even the Bicycle Club Casino 🎰 got huge and remodeled ✌️
Awesome video John!!!! I too grew up in Bell Gardens and also went to Colmar Elementary during the late 80s!!! I always brag to all my fellow gearheads about how you also grew up in my home town of Bell Gardens. Now, my little boy is a huge fan of you and Hope's to see you here in Arizona this Feburary! Thank you for this video Mr Force!! Continue to open those cans of whoop ass!!!!🤘🏁
Born and raised around Bell Gardens. John Force, Big Daddy Ed Roth and Fritz voghts are the reason why I have a passion for automotive and drag racing.
You were my neighbor, I grew up in the house across the street from your grandma's. Also, a couple with children who used to live in your grandma's house in the 1970s, died from cancer. My brother was playing catch, ran across the street to get the ball. He looked up, there was the lady that passed away sitting in the porch. He saw her spirit.
I met John on a quiet night in Claremont. I had recently recovered from an injury- and he was my hero watching him recover with such determination . Wonderful story my friend- be safe.
It's John's humble beginnings to what he made of himself with his family now that has made me a Force Family fan for 2 decades now. Thank you for that little trip.
Humble beginnings. Just shows that hard work, determination and motivation can lead to success. God bless you John and thank you for bringing so much joy to so many.💖🙏
Thank you for sharing, Force family!! Mr. John Force is a great example of living through the many miles of struggles and not letting them slow you down, but instead use them as fuel to propel you 330+ MPH in the opposite direction!
I was they're on 4th grade when they changed the name Mr.Force, We did an outside school assembly for the name change.I went they're since kindergarten sir. Lived in front of school on East Gage Ave on Gage and jaboneria
All of those memories & experiences.Bad as some of them may have been, shaped John into the man he is today. Proof that hard work and persistence always pays off.See you in April for the Spring Nationals!!
I too grew up in bell gardens. Lived near jaboneria and Clara street from late 70’s to early 80’s. My whole family lived there, aunts, uncles, grandparents. Left in 85 to Downey because our house kept getting broke into and we were harassed by gang members and young teens.
JOHN...... Nice video, remember walking home with ME and a few others ?.... Ed Fischer passed away in 2012 from Gang Green from that H.S. Football wound,..... Chuck Mugleston came to visit me in 2013 and died in 2014....Roy Paul?,.. was in the Navy with him and last I heard he was a Judge.......Dave Moore, ? ,.. he's lost in Apple Valley...... Several of us stayed together for years, a few have passed away...... Great to see life worked out so well for you, hope you can keep on racing for some more years. B.G. has changed, Jaboniera looks way different now... I took the same drive last time I was in town.
It's not how good you are, It's how much you love it.” I felt that deep in my soul. I may just have it Tattooed on the bottom of my arm. Love you John Force
I remember watching the revisit to Bell Gardens on Driving Force. It's nice to see another revisit, some different info and stories. You John Force have earned everything you have, and that is saying something in this world and something to be damn proud of. I wish in life I could achieve half of what you have. My hats off to you. Been a fan for quite some time, my whole family has. 89-90. My family, 3 generations, my mother and step dad, myself and my son, we will be Pomona at the Winternationals on Sunday to cheer on you and the whole JFR team. Thank you, for the all the entertainment you have given all of us fans.
Thank You for sharing Force Family! John's life truly is "The American Dream" where you can start from little and end up something special! All you need is a Dream! (well and maybe Austin Coil would help as well);) Good Luck to all the JFR teams for the 2020 NHRA season.
found this by accident... omg i lived on loveland in the second lot of houses from the cornor of colmar and loveland! in the 70s and 80s. i went to colmar (ceasar chavez elm) and my grandmother worked in our cafeteria! i didnt go to bgi i went to suva, and my grandfather lived in that trailor park! i learned to swim in the pool at bghs! and we swam in ford park in the summer. ive done this tour myself a few times. most recently i returned abotu 7 years ago for my aunts funeral... it was horrid. so dirty and crowded and bars on everything. were your kids afraid? the people i took with me on my tour, were. they also said it cleared alot of things up....
You just gave the exact description of Bell Gardens when YOU we're living there in the 70's and 80's. The city is still blue collar. But, like other neighboring cities, Bell Gardens has changed and has developed over the decades. Silly child.
“It ain’t how good you are, it’s how much you love something!” says The Legend John Force. I wish many people would take his advice and see what he came from and how he has triumphed.
If you want to know the story of how Team Force started it all began here in the slums of Bell Gardens. Before Team Force made a name for themselves they did not have anything John was living on the streets. That was when Old John Force jumped in his first racecar 150 wins ago and he began his fiery winning streak to 150 wins. In those years Team Force was founded and they saw many amazing drivers John Force, Robert Hight, Eric Medlen, Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney, and now a new generation of drivers is making a name for themselves Autumn Hight daughter of Robert division Supercomp, and Jacob and Noah Hood sons of Danny and Ashley Hood divisions Top Alcohol Jr. Dragster and Gas Powered Jr. Dragster. The future is bright for Team Force. Good Luck this season GO TEAM FORCE!
Love him or hate him, John is as real as they come. He started with almost nothing and became a legend
Slugg0matic I’m yet to come across someone who hates him... how can you
There is just something about Bell Gardens it has a Mystique that is un-explainable only way to get that feeling is to have grown up in Bell Gardens Aka as Billy Goat Acres.
