Just a few thoughts I had sitting on my back porch during a thunderstorm the other night... and felt like sharing with you all. Maybe too many people are approaching the problem as if it's elsewhere, a memory from their childhood, not a real thing that's really happening. Maybe too many people don't understand or simply forgot how this relationship is actually supposed to work.
I do believe things can change and for the better, but not if everyone keeps pretending the emperor is dressed up to the nines when the guy is running around with no pants on laughing in their faces.

It's great that all the bored housewives can get UA-cam views for their impotent and placating viewpoints. Pretty soon the crying circle, the safe space, the shoulder the lean on, will get pretty fucking old for all of the people who have to work and compete with other people for a living.

You're not wrong. I was in DC during Ron Brown's funeral - watched the procession from the Mall through the cherry blossoms. While I enjoyed the Smithsonian/Museums, I couldn't help but feel it was all a distraction from the unnormal "normalcy" going on around me. The atmosphere felt unclean...dirty...dark. And then it felt evil when a woman, clean and well groomed and professionally dressed in a suit, with a brief case, sat in front and across from myself, small daughter, and husband on the subway. She made small talk with my husband then went about her business. About five minutes later she got out some nail clippers, took off her modest high heel pump, and started digging at the sole of her foot, making it bleed, all the while going off on some crazy rant. And all I could picture when she spoke were her eyes were black and when she spoke she had a snake tongue. Of course that isn't what the reality was but that is what popped in my mind as she "spoke" and was digging at her bloody foot. Our stop in Arlington finally came up and she yelled at us the entire time we were getting off the subway. I've been in the New York subways and NEVER has an experience as bizarre as this was. That place is definitely dark.

My first trip to D.C. as a midwestern kid was on my middle school field trip. I was in awe, and it's surreal to see things in person that we've seen on TV. I was totally inspired. I felt like it belonged to me, as a citizen. It felt like something I contributed to and benefited along with everyone else.
And now? And now...well...contempt is barely a word to describe how I feel. Powerlessness. Injustice. Corruption. Oligarchy. It's not a city for me. It doesn't belong to me. It's the heart of an empire I wish didn't exist. It's garish. An eyesore. A city of lies, in statue form. A city of contrasts...extravagance and neglect. A city with so much potential, but everyone is blind to it. A city slowly crumbling from within. What a symbol. It will fall apart. And, sadly, that's what makes me hopeful. I HATE, LOATHE, lazy, sloppy litterbugs.
I have been fighting for truth since I was in my late 20's I'll be 72 in August. I feel pretty hopeless at this time. Our country has been taken down. We're being invaded by people who are basically young soldier age men. Our vets don't get help. Our homeless and disabled don't get help. Our elderly can barely hang on. But illegals get all kinds of help. More than they need. This seems to compound on a daily basis. I feel scared and hopeless. I'm glad I'm as old as I am and I don't have small children. I do have three wonderful and awake adult children, all in their 40's now. I worry about them and what may happen during their lives. I feel honestly like all of this is maybe supposed to happen so Jesus can come back. I don't know the Bible very well because I don't go to church and I don't think they are preaching the things that need to be said right now. I live in a very small town that has become very liberal so I don't have many people I can talk to and the churches have gay or transgender pastors. WTF? I walk to the beach and sit there thinking what a beautiful earth we have. I love the beaches near me. All Puget Sound waters. My little town has pristine beaches right on the main street.We're surrounded on three sides by water. The beach has become my safe place where I cry, where I pray and talk to Jesus. I just hope I'm worthy. My kids got a good foundation in Christianity and we taught them good things and I'm so proud of them. They're honest, hardworking , compassionate, kind and caring and they are polite and have manners. Violence was not an option in our home. But they were raised on a farm, a small one in the country and my two sons are masculine men and they're also gentlemen. My daughter is married 20+ years and they also live on a farm. We love animals. Maybe because they aren't all screwed up.

I was raised in similar fashion as you describe (though not on a farm, I later did that and now see at my own advancing age of 67 that nature and caring for animals and growing things is such a gift, offers us so much more than we put in! I was amazed at how small the Vietnam Memorial is. I was out there in 2015. The FDR memorial was huge in comparison to any other memorial. If he hadn't died, how many terms would he have stayed in? I believe he died in his fourth. That was before two term limits. I guess his memorial was as big as the government he grew 😢😢

Some people believe that some powerful people practice "the old" pagan religion and Springtime typically requires a blood ritual sacrifice for fertility.
