Losing against faster people is miles better than winning against slower people. Push that qualification time as far as you can for that pole position, as that puts you at an advantage over the faster drivers. Even if you can't always get pole, even starting from the top 5 and trying your hardest makes a hell of a difference.
Great video, man. I can't second your first tip enough. I wouldn't have believed it if you had told me a month ago... but I finally decided to take the plunge today and run without traction control. With about a half hour of practice I was, on average, 2 SECONDS FASTER than with TCS! I couldn't freakin' believe it! Lmao!
Dead serious, man! TRY IT! You'll be amazed! TCS robs you of power coming out of corners since it automatically taps the brakes on wheels that lose traction, basically decreasing your potential exit speed. Honestly, the key to driving without it is as simple as throttle control. Once you learn when you can (and more importantly, can NOT) floor it, you'll be fine.
TCS on 1 is fine. Higher then that leads to arcade driving feel and it slowes you in corners pretty much. For FWD and 4WD cars I turn off TCS, and for powerful RWD cars I set it to 1. Cars still oversteer when you push throttle too much, but it's a little bit easier to control then when TCS is on 0. I'm using DS4 controller.
Qualifying really is very important. It's worth waiting for the next race some times to get a good qualifying lap. Then it's just about staying calm and like he said don't get in battles if u can help it.
Theres not much to set yourself apart, maybe just turning down the assists until you find that extra time while remaining consistent. Some cars are faster without any traction control at all. Other than that just have to qualify well and know the racing line
They need to nerf that Renault gr.4 asap. Tired of getting blown away on straights by people who blow every turn. Git Gud?...naw just drive the Megane, gtsport yeah!

Huracan gr.4 has has good cornering traction ans speeds. I love using the lexus RCF in Gr.3 !

Abs is the only assist that doesn't allow you down . That's why . All motorsport drivers use it also ... No driver uses traction control, that one is the worst .

I usually qualify around 8th to 10th. Even in one make races players will overtake me on a straight and just disappear off into the distance. I do use automatic gears though, perhaps that's what's setting me back.
Tips from a driver who cant keep the car in track limits. Bumps other racers. Lights up the tyres and throws the back end out? You need to go back to licence mode lol
The reason to not qualify is say you go from 20th to 3rd you go up 17, I went up 9 today in one race and got 375 points for the one race so people do this to build there DR quickly, nobody drives from chase, chase is for replays IMHO hood is best bumper 2nd, .5 secs is roughly 5 car lengths
