- BOAT WITH 2700 HP CRUSHES HAULOVER INLET! | Boats vs Haulover Inlet
Haulover Inlet typically has its way with boats on rough days. On this day however, this massive 60 ft Midnight Express came ready for war! This bad boy is equipped with 6 Mercury Racing 450R's and it needed every shred of those 2700 horses, to rip through Haulover on this rough afternoon.

Did that Midnight Express stuff the bow? Hard to tell, what do you guys think?
Wavy Boats yes
Sure did
Absolutely. Not quite full submarine, but definitely a stuff.
It was a stuffing but they was dry ? 🌊🌊🌊🌊 but wot a boat..👌👌👌🚢🚢 I love seeing that 60 ft midnight...that's wen u no ur winning at life..😘
Without a doubt
Boat at 2:10 was textbook on how to enter the inlet...
Yep..thought so too..just enough speed, riding the waves
Blind_FPV agreed.hes not showing off for the crowds or campers, just being responsible 🍺🍺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Cammo 1308 To people who actually boat I think that was showing off 😬
Engines trimmed up so bow stays up and no risk of submarining; speed was just fast enough to not let the following waves overtake you. Textbook is right (and yes, not sexy, but effective).
So it’s just riding the wave huh
THE BEAST was amazing
Operator of the Seavee knows how to use the tide to his/her benefit, well done!
Most in this segment did a great job negotiating haulover.
Kuddos to all and you for capturing the moments.
Can't get enough of your videos. You guys have me hook line and sinker. Love Em. Keep em coming really enjoy them. 👍👍😎
This is the best haulover channel on UA-cam all the other ones are boring
Half million in motors and can't outrun a 20 year old scarab. Very shinny.
Very entertaining on days like this ... I love it
Great coverage!!! Thank you much!!!
Great video, always good videos 👍. Thank you!
The beast travels at a high rate of fuel consumption. I don't even want to know what those six motors take to fund.
When is enough engines? Six too many ... five not enough?
I don’t get why such ships (that aint a boat no more) still have outboard engines, why no internal engines?
Deveon89 because they look sick lol, gotta flex your 450r....
Blind_FPV I think outboards just make the boat these days. Away with the days of the huge v8 cigarette type boats in my opinion.
The center console with multiple outboards is just way impressive!
@@ranger2316 Even with six its under powered for that size, LOL.
Always wanted to see a convertible come through with a flat deadrise in a big following sea. The Post has absolutely no deadrise, especially that era. The second generation Post II has a slight deadrise, but nothing compared to Berts, Vikings, Hat's and other sport boats. The capt almost broached the boat! Looks like he had the trims down, which is no bueno! Great video
That water is gorgeous!
The Beast may have won, but the inlet still took home a souvenir at 0:11
Good eye, Daniel! 😎
@@WavyBoats actually if you look at it in slow motion, it took TWO souvenirs!
@@DanielMiller82 Yeah, it looks like two pieces came off the top, but I don't see anything missing.
I think it is the lights they mount up top that came off. It is a shame the inside hot a salt water bath when he just needed a little more speed. More money that sense I guess.
The Beast is a Beast!
These videos make me want to have a vacation in Miami.
Paradise... 🍻
Keep the good work up I’m lovin it.
Thanks Nolan! 🙌
Thank you for the video .
“Mystery boat” was 100% a 42 hydra sports.
It’s hull form and engine..combination of engineering
Awsome video thanks for sharing.
Great stuff!
Thank you for not having click bait 👍🏽
Man oh man
Saw some really close calls on this one.
Thanks again for sharing
Wow
Loved seeing a big sportfish heading out for a change!! 64' Bayliss?? Beautiful!
cranderson70 yep, much better than the center consoles and absolutely eat the inlet without a flinch🍺🍺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Missed seeing the yachts in this video!
That first boat was amazing. Lots lots of money 💴
Thanks
Beast always owns inlet long live the Beast!!!
The midnight express is the worst at stuffing the bow -Very wet boat
The Tidewater is a really nice looking boat!
gotta love the joker in the sportfish with his down riggers out like hes still trollin goin threw the inlet
Damn that currents fast
Looks like a fun ride.
I noticed that most boats going out of Haulover do not raise their VHF antenna . It sure does not work well if you need to call and your signal is going up not out.
The Beast boat was pretty darned polite with his wake when he got in the channel.
0:12 ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!
The light blue boat is very top heavy!
It’s always the smallest boats that have the most people. 😂😂
On the water; the bigger, the better!
Something broke off the Midnight Express in the first clip. You can see black pieces of something flying away from the console canopy.
Said hi to you this morning!
Tell you what, looking at that sky out there I think I'd want to head back in as quickly as I could
He also “crushed” that LED spotlight on the roof while he was at it :p
Still an awesome boat that made short work of Haulover
8:00 driver heads back thinking, "We're going to need a bigger boat."
7:57 I think that girl got hurt or at least scared the crap out of her.
When 1 or 2 engines is not enough, get 4 engines. Need more power? 5 engines, 0:30 but for F sakes 6 outboard engines...
3:13 that Post looks like a rolly polly seasickness machine.
That paramount w/single merc trimmed up handled that place.
6:51 mystery boat I think is a scout or an Everglades both beautiful boats
That one Deep Impact needs a major hull scrubbing.
4.38, turned around, good idea
(6:00) Come on Deep Impact, scrub that brown crud off your hull, you have an expensive, beautiful boat and that stuff looks like chit!
Exactly, it's cheap as a carwash too have it done
thats one day in my backyard the river is not kind to white bottoms
Legend has it the guy at 8:20 is still trying to decide which line to take.
4:10, lol, not only in a boat made for a lake but loaded to capacity. Thankfully didn't try to venture out and get swamped
Those Midnight Express proving again it submarine capability. Perhaps it's something wrong on center of gravity and the boat pivot point. That pitch down and dig into the wave is becoming a constant.
1st boat is the beast 100%✅
That Mystery boat looks like a Hydra-sport
Tidewater guy comes out waayyy too slowly, gets out a good way, turns around and goes back in at a speed that he should have been coming out at in the first place. SMH.
All those egg beaters just make Me laugh - - - !!!!!
😂😂😂💚💚😂😂😂😂
Wise decisions to make the U turns Better Safe Than Sorry.
Can't believe no one wears life jackets. In the UK everyone wears life jackets. Even if you're a good swimmer that doesn't help if you fly out the boat and get knocked out in the process... You're sinking !
Depends on a few factors. States have different requirements based upon boat size, age or size of the person (younglings for instance), etc. Its like motorcycle helmet laws. some states require them, some dont.
The UK has no laws regarding wearing life jackets , but common sense just tells you to wear one !
Luke Swallow bet youre fun at parties.
@@lukeswallow9802 Absolutely, it's shear idiocy not to wear one. You just need a bit of bad luck and you're dead. A neighbor's kid drowned without a life jacket 2 summers ago, and last summer one of my classmates from the primary school. With a life jacket, both would be alive.
@@bomguy999999 Nobody ever invites him
Optimax is bouncing around like a frog in a sock on the Paramount 🍺🍺🇦🇺🇦🇺
half a mil in motors... most of us will never know what that is like
you put a carolina flair on the midnight express and you have a good boat...
Seems like they can never trim up enough on the Midnight Express boats?
Walter Wade jr. also had a Boston Whaler. I don't know yachts, but when I saw "Boston Whaler", I thought: Heeeyyyyyy I know that.
Aluminum hulls are the sex.
Six 450Rs cost more than my house!!! 🤣
Some people are afraid of the throttle, that's your friend

Why are midnight express so beautiful
All are beautiful motor boats. Very very expansive. In India, we have many rivers. Hundreds of rivers. Some are 3 kms wide. Yes we have many bridges some even more than 9 kms long bridge (eg. Boghibeel bridge in North East India, crossing the river Brahmaputra). But inland water transport is not developed. There are no such beautiful boats that is in this video. Wish one day we will have in in India too.
How come I get a semi everytime you show a midnight express?
Man that Post Sportfish almost ate it
Still waiting fro someone to flash the camera
Triple Suzuks on the deep impact...
Why was the sporty @ 3:15 listing so hard? Bilge full of water?
When you have over two thousand horsepower, why outboards? Genuine question. Twin out outboards I get. But with four or five on the back surely the losses to lower unit drag and prop slip/cavitation with all those engines, not to mention the cost of servicing, means that two 1,000 hp inboards is both faster and cheaper. There must be a reason. What is it?
kristoff scuba Boys with toys....I love it!
It comes down to vanity. Having tons of outboards with big numbers posted on them is a way of showing off; you can't do that with inboards. All of these center consoles are very similar so the way people show off is with how many engines they can strap to the transom. And it must work because even this channel is bating with "2700HP!" in the title with no mention of the make of the boat.
@@TheVonMatrices If thats really the case, thats sad isn't it. I was hoping there would be some engineering reason I didn't know about. So, the only people these monster centre consoles are impressing are people who arn't into boats? It's a bit like people who put "M" badges on the back of none M BMW's. Whats the point? Anyone who is in to cars, know you are not driving a real BMW M edition car. People who may be impressed are people who are so not into cars, they can't tell a 320d from an M3. Wheres the buzz in impressing people like that???? I guess that with all the losses going on in these multi outboard setups, an inboard equipped boat with less power with the same hull would blast past them no problem? I do not see whats cool about being slower!
,@@kristoffscuba5466 outboards weight less, easier to maintain, cost less to maintain, better with corrosion. Cost less initially, take up less room. last longer than a cast iron big block in salt water. All that being said most of these big center consoles are over powered status symbols.
I don’t get the appeal to luxury center console boats.
A lot of people who can’t afford them can’t seem to get the appeal to them.
My wife doesn’t see the appeal. She feels for that much money get something you can comfortable sleep on it. I like them personally. Either way, we can’t afford one haha....yet
@@KMT15
@@KMT15 Douchebags own them, fact.
Simplicity is the main driver in my opinion. Boats with cabins have kitchens, air conditioning, fridges, generators and other auxiliary systems that can lead to more problems. Also if you are primarily day tripping you want to be in the sun and performance wise a center console will be hard to beat compared to a cabin style. In the end you have a finite sum of cash and you’ll want to spend it on areas you see yourself utilizing the most.
Midnight express always stuffs the bow
The Beast lost something from the rooftop after submarining.
4:21 how many friggen people you wanna cram on board of this nutshell?
The mystery boat is a 42 hydra probably a 2014/2015
4:28 handled like a champ...first wave...sideways...ok
Midnight needs to put an extra foot on that front
5:20 boats only been out for a year and the rear shade is destroyed
Waiting for it too get replaced lol
@@pfajkis11 we've got the 32' fox. you happy with yours?
@@0wrx2 the boat itself is great. Ive been having some issues with the electronics, not much of a seafox issue but its been getting worked on. i love the 32 as well
Hey wavy boats, just wondering but do you get any big Vikings down there
Hey Colton, we do from time to time but it's not very common at Haulover. More common at Gov Cut.
Ok, Thanks for letting me know
The deep impact at the beginning had triple Suzuki’s. You wrote “triple Mercury’s”!
ryan redington bruh
0:38 you mean triple Suzuki 300
Grrr... That irks me! Thanks for pointing it out Mason. 👍
Seavee score: 10
What make and model is the last boat in this video? Starting at 10:52
I'm 5st!
I have fished offshore for 40 years through many of the east coast inlets. My question is why do some of these "pros" come into a busy inlet with their outriggers deployed?
So did the guy on the wave runner tell them not to bother with that many people and they bailed?
0:40 Looks like Tripple Suzuki instead of Mercury
Mystery boat is a Hydrasport 42
why are they turning?
:30
At what point does a buyer go inboard?? 7 outboard? 8? A dozen???
Been watching way too long and started noticing the Midnight Express boats have a hole below water line in the front. The hydra sport had it also later in the video. On other videos it almost looked like a small propeller inside of the hole. What's the purpose?
....could it be a bow thruster 🤔 ...maybe?
Camera ?
I really know nothing about boats, but at what point does the midnight express start losing mobility when they get that big??? I mean just get a bigger boat without the 6 engines?
im waiting for somewon to get a couple 6000 hp diesel electric locamotive engines , ha ha the csx-xpress
Magnum Marine used large diesel engines about 2,400 hp each back in the late 80's and 90's. Hulls were thick fiberglass and were awesome boats, particularly their 56 and 70 foot models.
