Goldy are your senses multiplied when you play this game cause you are seeing and hearing shit that only super humans could identify.......... In short dat shit dope.
It is much harder to see and hear these things over youtube because of how it compresses videos. As somebody who has put hundreds of hours into arma(dayz and wasteland) it becomes normal to spot movement from 500-1000 meters away, especially if the person is wearing contrasting colors. And the ambient noise is rather quiet, so hearing shots and movement becomes easier. The point of seeing and hearing far is listening and watching for differences not similarities. Movement is what allows you to see far away because of changes in color and texture and echos and sound differences are what allow you to hear rather quiet sounds. Goldy is still really good at it though.

Something I'm loving about Stand alone is that now with the better graphics it's not just "In the treeline oh I see him!" you have to take time to asses what just happened.

Hey Goldy check out the official map for DayZ SA, you'll find loot spawns that you didnt know exist. That construction building at 8:00 has a moisin spawn on the roof

There's a chance you get knocked unconscious in one hit when he hits him in the head. He could have gone south. If anything he was probably working with his probable friend up in the tree line by telling him what they were doing and where they were.

Lane hit it spot on "this tension is what makes this game so good." Finally a game where people can't kamikaze you without major consequences. People are forced to play conservatively making it much closer to real life. It's still far from life like but at least it's closer than any other game I know.

It's a big problem that plagued the ARMA mods... It's called scripting, and it's when someone is using code to give themselves stuff and make it so other people cant do anything. you can teleport and even kill everyone on the server. It really is a shitty thing and hopefully it gets fixed.

Goldy, Frankie 7 JackFrags should make a 3 man (maybe 4 man with an additional guy, obviously) and just make a sniper team, squad of rangers type of series as chaotic good type of guys, as in doing anything for the greater good. I'd watch tht with their spotting talents, aim and keeping their viewers interested.

Whenever i play standalone everything is blurry 20 meters and up and i run it on max graphics with a steady 60fps, how can i fix it?
you go into video settings and turn postprocessing off. that worked for me.
