- I am not a mechanic! But hopefully this will help somebody out there. I just got through replacing the spark plugs, valve cover gasket, and one bad spark plug coil on my 2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor. This is quite the task if you're not familiar with the Mitsubishi Endeavor. I made a few mistakes while doing this, and so hopefully this will prevent you from making the same mistakes. I was careful however, and did a really nice job. I couldn't find any decent online videos showing how to do this job. So I have simply documented what I have done. With quite a few little tricks that I've learned along the way. I hope you find this helpful. Watch all 12 videos. This one is a bit long the others are only a few minutes long. After watching all of them, you'll at least know what you're in for. Thanks.... Richie

Saved me a lot of time on a 2008 endeavor for anyone reading the air intake has a bracket under it it’s a little tricky but as long as you undo the hoses and the two bolts on the bracket you don’t need to worry about the long bolts he had to take out and loosen
Also if you have a misfire don’t just replace the spark plug take the ignition coil of the spark plug you are replacing and move it to one of the front ones you can get to easily that is if it’s in the back, but that way if it misfires again, you know, it’s the ignition coil that you moved
Also, I only say that last part because I had to learn that the hard way
As everyone else has mentioned this video was a huge help. My girlfriends 2007 Endeavor's 5th cylinder was misfiring. Took me a few hours but this video saved me far more time than if I were in the dark as well as money if I were to go to a mechanic. Just want to say thanks a bunch for this video series.
Hi Chris. You're so very welcome! I knew I wasn't the only one out there who would have to go through this! Anyway thanks for commenting and I'm glad that you were able to fix your girlfriends' endeavor. Great job. Not an easy task!!!
Sorry to bother you, but we've had a few more problems pop up and I wasn't sure if you had any experience dealing with them after doing this replacement. While the car idles much more smoothly, after a quick OBD-II scan at autozone it stated her 5th cylinder is still misfiring. And on top of that it states her system is running lean. I pinned this to possibly not sealing something off tight enough afterwards, seeing as these codes weren't present before I replaced the spark plug and coil. As I said I don't mean to bother you with a long list of problems, and I know the codes from these tests can be extremely vague, but I figured I'd ask.
Just what I needed, excellent. Thank you!
You are so welcome. Sorry I just so your comment! It's only been six months! I hope that you were able to fix your endeavor :)
excellent videos. thanks so much HELPED ME A TON!!!!!
You are so welcome! Sorry I just saw this! It's only been a year! :)
Thanks so much Rich for your hard work and dedication on the Mitisubishi Endeavor like you said there's no information out here for this mechanical engineering endeavor for average people . You covered the whole subbang dude you are the freaking man awesome. And letting us know the spark plugs order is point on dude I was especially looking for that myself so thanks a lot.
Thank you Sam! I'm so glad that you found this helpful. Like you said, there really isn't anything out there for your average dude! Thanks again :)
Great details on everything thanks friend. Works for 2008 Endeavor too.
I did it 👍
Wow thank you and good work! No easy task!!!

@@hayesiq thanks.and waiting STILL for parts to come from Amazon..will now be here weds..was gonna buy from autozone when i originally wrote to you but they wanted 122 for 1 coil..i have 3 rear coils for 45 and 4 plugs for 32.glad it gave me more time to study..again ty.and when i finish i will text you again to say THANKS💥💥💥
@@ronnydisalvo80 ok plz do!! 👍😊
excellent video, great instructions, you are kind!
Oh you're very welcome thanks for commenting! :)
Thank you for saying that! I hope this little video was helpful!
You didn't name every part. But did a good job
Ron Norman thanks. I definitely know the parts now! :)
Good stuff bro, I’m working on a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor with a number 2 cylinder misfiring. It’s a pain in my ass, just replaced the fuel injector and still running hard, bout to replace the spark plug hopefully that’s fixed the problem.
Hello! You're right it's such a PAIN! Hopefully it's just the spark plugs! But if it's not, plan on replacing the coils. Watch my mistakes which will make it a little easier!! Keep me posted and good luck! :)
Richie Hayes ugh nope swapped out the spark plugs, coils, and injector and the motor still run rough, I got a P0302 code still, the only thing left is maybe the wire harness for number 2 cylinder is bad. But idk how I’m gonna do that!?
Hey can you make a playlist of all your endeavor vids please
Como van las linias del tranfer case conestadas para ese veiculo
Pro tip to anyone watching. Don't watch video 2. Go to video 3.
hi there, does 2005 and 2008 has the same features?,
Hello I think so but I don’t know for sure!!
Can anyone tell me where to find the ignition starter motor in an endeavor 2004
my endeavor has oil in the rear plugs. Could this be the valve cover gasket?
Hello. Yes sort of. It’s a combination of the valve cover gasket and the circular rubber seals that go around the spark plugs. So once you pull off the valve cover gasket, you’ll see the circular rubber seals. The replacement valve cover gasket kit comes with those circular spark plug gaskets. When they wear out oil then easily accumulates in the spark plug cylinder.
This sounds better than hearing that piston rings are passing oil and my vehicle is salvage material. I was told that because only the 3 back spark plugs on my 2004 endeavor had oil and not the front. Cold that be true?
Thank you so much.
Rachel
Wow. I don't know for sure! I hope that's not the case. But I will tell you that those little seals around the spark plug cylinders definitely need to be replaced. Keep your fingers crossed. Maybe by replacing those you'll solve the problem. Watch all of my humble videos because I'm just a regular guy out there trying to save a buck. I've noticed that a few other guys have posted stuff and some of them are real mechanics unlike me. But I did fix my endeavor and it runs perfectly. If you go through the expense and pain of doing this you might want to consider changing the rear coils while you're at it. You can get them for $20 or so online and it will be so worth it cuz the day will come when one of them goes out and then you'll be stuck tearing everything apart again and it's quite the nightmare. But once again follow what I did but watch each video so that you can get a sense of what's going on. Good luck. I hope that what I shared will help a little bit. Just be super careful and get yourself plenty of light. And the step stool and a blanket really help. :
I just bought one of these fuck
do you have a video/ pdf file on installing a Mitsubishi/endeavor/2004/part # 4455A004/ power steering cooler tube. thank you for your time and info. rich p
richard polesnak hello. Nope. Sorry I don’t. I’m not a mechanic I just shared what I went through when I replace those coils. Just in case someone else out there was facing the same issue.
@@hayesiq thank you for your time
