Once I created my product listing on amazon seller central and I went print label it gives me a B00 barcode...and my supplier let me know FNSKU is usually with X00. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
It doesn't matter if its starts with a B or X. The reason is because you have not chosen to use the Amazon barcode. You can change the option from using Manufacturer Barcode to Amazon barcode in Settings > Fulfillment By Amazon > Barcode Preference > Switch to Amazon Barcode.
@@CrescentKao thank you I appreciate the reply. I followed your steps for my USA listing and changed it to Amazon barcode. Will this reset the label to X00 format? Why would you use the FNSKU barcode on your packaging if your product is private label? Would the FNSKU go on the cartons shipping container that you would send to an Amazon warehouse?

Thank you so much. Its so useful for people like me who's thinking to start private labeling for the first time. I have one question if you don't mind, I just want to be more clear. If I'm thinking of selling tshirts. Two colors, black and white. And 4 sizes, do I need total of 8 UPC codes?
Hey, Awesome video, I have a question. If im selling the product on amazon and in retail stores, do i put the original upc barcode and the FKSKU once converted on my packaging label? Do i need 2 UPCs for this one product to convert to FNSKU?
I’m glad you found value in the video! I suggest always putting the FNSKU on each unit not the UPC. Only one barcode can be on the unit. Here’s an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html This might help too: ua-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/v-deo.html
I just purchased 10 barcodes from GS1 Canada for only $150. Apparently I can’t register my product with Canadian GS1. Am I good to use them, will I face issues later if I register my brand ?
I'm not sure what you mean by not being able to registered with Canadian GS1. GS1 doesn't check branding or trademarks. If the barcode is accepted by Amazon when you create the listing, then you should be fine: ua-cam.com/video/hr78tW9Zdqg/v-deo.html
Great video! I have a Chinese supplier shipping directly to Amazon FBA that is asking if I want the UPC code AND FNSKU place on each item...from your video, I assume the answer is yes (I am unsure to be honest about the UPC sticker for shipping)?
Hi Crescent, I have followed this video but because my code I got from Australian GS1 is an EAN can I still get my FNSKU from it? In the video you said put you UPC.
Hello. Yes just choose EAN. If you didn’t buy the barcode from GS1, it’s better that you do. GS1 lowered their prices so it’s not worth it anymore to buy from 3rd party: ua-cam.com/video/Pq-HQ2xDkAU/v-deo.html
Hello, This is Boghosian shahan I am new seller and want buy inventory to sell it om Amazon I have question regards FNSKU barcode My products has manufacturing EAN Number But if i need to make fnsku For example my product are 5 boxes and each box contain 20 units (with same DNA as you explained in your video)of the same items Do i need to stick the FNSKU barcode on each unit (for each 100 units) Also what if i use manufacturer EAN barcode And if i use fnsku do i need to stick it on each 100 units on the old barcode to hid it ** considering that my products are new Thanks, Boghosian
If you’re doing private label, you must get your own UPC barcode and put the FNSKU on each unit. Do not use the suppliers barcode. ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
Thanks Crescent, So when we buy UPC code, what information does the GS1 save, what information are we supposed to provide and to who to buy UPC code. UPC obviuosly contains information about our product, I get that, but how does UPC code get that information about our product? We provide it? To who? Is it a Giant centralised database that is Universally recognised to issue IDs to all the products that ever exist in this world? Thanks much mate👍🏻
Can I have both UPC and FNSKU on my packaging? I'm sending 2500 games to warehouse in the US and only a certain number of them are going to Amazon FBA the others will be sold on other online platforms... What should we do?
No. Only one barcode can be visible on the unit. If you're doing arbitrage or wholesale, then cover the original manufacturers barcode with the FNSKU for units that you're selling on Amazon.
I'm glad you found it helpful! US, Canada, and Mexico share the same seller account so you don't have to do anything special there. If you want to sell in another marketplace, you can use the manufacturers UPC barcode to create the listing.
Thanks for the video. Do you get a sample from the supplier first and put your brandname and take a picture? or send the brand name to your supplier and have them put the brand name on the product and take a picture? Cheers!
You're welcome! You can do whatever makes sense for you. In most cases, the supplier isn't going to make a one off sample that's customized or has your logo on it. And here's and updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/-IOFXsLDFhA/v-deo.html
Great video! My first product has 3 different colors so I will buy 3 different UPC barcodes. My question is do I have to create 3 separate listings in Amazon? I see you only insert one UPC code, where do we insert the other 2 codes for the variation of colors?
Glad you found it helpful! You can create separate listings for each variation or you can create the variations under a parent listing. I would create them as parent-child: ua-cam.com/video/8eNK0rjYxdk/v-deo.html
I ha e a question: can fnsku barcodes be used other than Amazon platform? If my product doesn’t sell good on Amazon and I want to withdraw my product to sell outside Amazon, do I have to change the barcodes back to upc?
what if im whole selling and its not my brand. im just buying cheap selling high? do i still need to have the FNSKU if it has a UPC and its already a product?
Yes, but to get the FNSKU, you need to create a listing. And to create a listing, you need to buy a UPC barcode. Here’s an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
Hi Crescent, it was instructive as usual. Is it possible to launch 2 or 3 different products at the same time? I mean I may decide to import 2 or more products to amazon fba. Is there any restriction for that? thank you
Hello, I'm glad you find value in the content! Yes, you can launch more than one product at a time, there's nothing wrong with that. It just requires more upfront capital.
If my product with fnsku barcode on doesn’t sell on Amazon so I want to withdraw it and sell it elsewhere, will I have to change the fnsku back to upc?
Wait if someone doing wholesale retail arbitrage, the upc he used and the FNSKU should be enough or do I need to buy. A barcode from those site's you mentioned

Hello Crescent, I hope you are doing great, first of all thank you for the splendid explanation as I have quite a few videos but do not explain the exact matter like you did. I have couple of questions as under: 1- For example 50 bags in one carton so do I have to stick that same FNSKU sticker on the outside of the main carton like me or supplier sticked on each bag packaging? 2- If I have four different sizes then do I have put four different UPCs when creating my listing? 3- If I use an existing listing can I edit my title, shop name, description, photos, or anything which I can including the variations (as I might be using different sizes only)? Please reply appreciated in advance and thank you once again.
I'm doing well, thanks for asking! 1) The FNSKU needs to go on every unit, not the shipping carton 2) Every variation requires it's own barcode: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html 3) You can edit the listing anytime you want.
Hey, really amazing what you have done here. I assume we are all confused at the begining. Amazon should pay you for these. Question - i am a resseller - and my product already came with my label on it. I have a barcode that i used as SKU howver i am getting FNSKU to be prnted on each product. Is this needed considering my SKU is already on each product?
Hello! I'm glad you found value in the content! Regardless if there's a barcode on it already, you should always use the FNSKU like I stated in the video. Here's an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
Hi Cresent, I tried scanning my new fnsku barcode label using the amazon seller app but no product is found. My items have not arrived and the listing is inactive, may i know is this the reason why i can't find my product using the barcode scan? I can find my listing using ASIN though.
Hello, it looks like amazon changed their requirement. Any say on that? "How to request a GTIN exemption Before your apply, make sure you have one of the following: Product name and a minimum of two (and maximum of nine) images showing all sides of your product and the packaging of the product. This should be the brand owner or an authorized person. A statement that the brand does not provide a GTIN and the reason why. Ok, thank you for your response.my questions are below: 1. If I sell the same bundle as the others sell on amazon for FBA, should I make a new listing? 2.I have one same item with five colors in one bundle for amazon FBA, When I list , they ask manufacturers and brands name, I can filled with any name what I want. 3. If I wanna private label, I can ask my supplier custom packages designed, logo design on product, and print my brand name on my product (not brand register).just make it clear. Thank you so much.
I've been approved exemption on my line of jerseys. but I cant seem to get amazon to list the variations. Is it because I don't have an FNSKU? how to I create those for each size? I'm not using the fulfillment center
@@BikeStopCafe You should be able to just create your listing and variations once approved by following this video: ua-cam.com/video/zSyfKEBJ-0E/v-deo.html Otherwise, I would contact seller support. My question is, once the items have their fnsku labels on them, and the factory puts let's say 100 of these items in a larger box to ship over to Amazon usa, is there an fnsku (or equivalent) that needs to go on the large box so that Amazon can recognise this box as being your products?

When I create a listing to get my FNSKU code does it make my listing active? Or is it only active once Amazon receives my shipment? Thank you, love the videos.
Hello Jose Perez. Thank you for your input and feedback, I appreciate it! Your listing won't go live until you have active inventory at an Amazon warehouse.
I bought a product from China that is not available on amazon (Its new) and this product has chinese company logo and EAN code. Should I buy a new EAN or UPC code for this to sell it on Amaon or existing EAN number is enough?
Hey, so I have a question, if your are ordering 1000 Garlic Presses but the Supplier had to package the items in 2 separate boxes (500 in 1 box and 500 in the other box) im assuming you would need to purchase one UPC code but print it twice ? One for the each box which in my case is 2 boxes.

Thank you so much. Its so useful for people like me who's thinking to start private labeling for the first time.
I have one question if you don't mind, I just want to be more clear. If I'm thinking of selling tshirts. Two colors, black and white. And 4 sizes, do I need total of 8 UPC codes?
You're welcome! I'm glad you found value in the content! That's correct. Here's a new video that goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/-IOFXsLDFhA/v-deo.html
Here’s an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
This might help too: ua-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/v-deo.html
Glad you found value in the video. If you're doing FBA, put the FNSKU on each unit: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
Hello,
This is Boghosian shahan I am new seller and want buy inventory to sell it om Amazon
I have question regards FNSKU barcode
My products has manufacturing EAN Number
But if i need to make fnsku
For example my product are 5 boxes and each box contain 20 units (with same DNA as you explained in your video)of the same items
Do i need to stick the FNSKU barcode on each unit (for each 100 units)
Also what if i use manufacturer EAN barcode
And if i use fnsku do i need to stick it on each 100 units on the old barcode to hid it
** considering that my products are new
Thanks,
Boghosian
If you’re doing private label, you must get your own UPC barcode and put the FNSKU on each unit. Do not use the suppliers barcode. ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
IS it ok if I have packaging that has the GS1 barcode on it? Would I just slap the FNSKU somewhere over my label?
Yes. Only one barcode can be visible. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/v-deo.html
Thanks Crescent,
So when we buy UPC code, what information does the GS1 save, what information are we supposed to provide and to who to buy UPC code.
UPC obviuosly contains information about our product, I get that, but how does UPC code get that information about our product? We provide it? To who? Is it a Giant centralised database that is Universally recognised to issue IDs to all the products that ever exist in this world?
Thanks much mate👍🏻
You're welcome. GS1 barcodes have details of you and your business/trademark, not the product itself.
Good video. If I want to sell same product FBA in US, Canada and Australia can I use UPC barcode on my label instead of Amazon's FNKU? thanks
I'm glad you found it helpful! US, Canada, and Mexico share the same seller account so you don't have to do anything special there. If you want to sell in another marketplace, you can use the manufacturers UPC barcode to create the listing.
Great Video! i just have 1 question. Does the FNSKU need to go on each individual product then also on the packaging or just the packaging?
I'm glad you found it helpful! It needs to go on each products packaging. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/v-deo.html
No. Here’s an updated version of this video: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
Hi there. Thanks for another informative video. I noticed one of my products has the same ASIN and same FNSKU...is that ok?
You're welcome! No two products or variations on Amazon will ever have the same ASIN or FNSKU.
what if im whole selling and its not my brand. im just buying cheap selling high? do i still need to have the FNSKU if it has a UPC and its already a product?
I suggest always putting the FNSKU on your units. Here’s an updated video on it: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
As Amazon provides FNSKU , so is FNSKU barcode free for sellers ? Thank you.
Yes, but to get the FNSKU, you need to create a listing. And to create a listing, you need to buy a UPC barcode. Here’s an updated video on this:
ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
Hi Crescent, it was instructive as usual. Is it possible to launch 2 or 3 different products at the same time? I mean I may decide to import 2 or more products to amazon fba. Is there any restriction for that? thank you
Hello, I'm glad you find value in the content! Yes, you can launch more than one product at a time, there's nothing wrong with that. It just requires more upfront capital.
here's a question what if its t-shirts with different sizes Small, Medium, Large do i need a UPC barcode for each size?
Every product or variation needs its own barcode. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html

If my product with fnsku barcode on doesn’t sell on Amazon so I want to withdraw it and sell it elsewhere, will I have to change the fnsku back to upc?
If the platform or retail store requires a barcode then yes.
Wait if someone doing wholesale retail arbitrage, the upc he used and the FNSKU should be enough or do I need to buy. A barcode from those site's you mentioned
I suggest always using the FNSKU. Here’s an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
So to clarify, the UPC barcode goes on the outside of the packaging box and the FNSKU goes on each unit?
No. Only the FNSKU goes on the outer most packaging. This explains it: ua-cam.com/video/Rj_ft1naqPo/v-deo.html

Hello Crescent, I hope you are doing great, first of all thank you for the splendid explanation as I have quite a few videos but do not explain the exact matter like you did.
I have couple of questions as under:
1- For example 50 bags in one carton so do I have to stick that same FNSKU sticker on the outside of the main carton like me or supplier sticked on each bag packaging?
2- If I have four different sizes then do I have put four different UPCs when creating my listing?
3- If I use an existing listing can I edit my title, shop name, description, photos, or anything which I can including the variations (as I might be using different sizes only)?
Please reply appreciated in advance and thank you once again.
I'm doing well, thanks for asking! 1) The FNSKU needs to go on every unit, not the shipping carton
2) Every variation requires it's own barcode: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
3) You can edit the listing anytime you want.
@@CrescentKao Thank you very much for your kind reply.
Hey, really amazing what you have done here. I assume we are all confused at the begining. Amazon should pay you for these. Question - i am a resseller - and my product already came with my label on it. I have a barcode that i used as SKU howver i am getting FNSKU to be prnted on each product. Hi Cresent, I tried scanning my new fnsku barcode label using the amazon seller app but no product is found. My items have not arrived and the listing is inactive, may i know is this the reason why i can't find my product using the barcode scan? I can find my listing using ASIN though.
The listing needs to be live to show up in the marketplace.

Hello, it looks like amazon changed their requirement. Any say on that?
"How to request a GTIN exemption
Before your apply, make sure you have one of the following:
Product name and a minimum of two (and maximum of nine) images showing all sides of your product and the packaging of the product.
Support letter from the brand owner, manufacturer, or publisher that is clear and readable (in English or the marketplace’s local language) containing the following information:
Name and contact information of the person who has written/issued the letter. This should be the brand owner or an authorized person.
A statement that the brand does not provide a GTIN and the reason why.
Your physical address, phone number, and email address or website address.
Template letter to send to your brand owner or manufacturer
Template letter to send to your publisher
Once you have your product images or support letter, follow the steps below to apply for a GTIN exemption.
On the Apply for a GTIN exemption page, click the Select button and then select the relevant Product category from the pop-up list."
Very clearly explain. I have a bundle item to list, and I want a brand name, should I have to register? Thank you!
I'm glad you found value in the content! I'm not sure what you mean. All product listings require a UPC barcode. You need to register/create an Amazon account in order to sell on Amazon: ua-cam.com/video/VmA2jfO0Nb8/v-deo.html
Ok, thank you for your response.my questions are below:

Hello Crescent, I was wondering since I do need my FNSKU code to send to my manufacturer. From my understanding we have to create a listing to create a FNSKU code.
