Hey, thanks for these videos, they're really the best out of all that I have seen at explaining 'how to sell on Amazon'. At 4:53 you said, ''for private label sellers, everyone selling the same product, will sell their product under the same listing''. Please can you kindly elaborate? If I'm selling black leggings with my brand on them, how can others sell under my listing and how can products with my UPC on them be confused with other people selling black leggings (which presumably don't have the same UPC)? So essentially, other people can use the UPC I purchased? Much appreciated.
You're welcome. I'm glad you're finding value in the content. That's just how selling works on Amazon. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/AEMaKEkflSM/v-deo.html
by the way, if you need ship from China to amazon ,i would love to caculate the shipping cost for you,I am a trusted freight forwarder provide DDP service, professional and honest, and can also help you find supplier in China, once you need, welcome to contact
Okay so correct me if I’m wrong. Lets say I’m doing private label. I have a total of 1000 units. All the units are of the same size but come in 2 colours- 500 each. The 500 same colour units come in let’s say for example 30 shipping boxes- so a total of 60 shipping boxes. 30 each containing the two colours I purchase 2 UPC codes, one is x and the other y. I’ll print the UPC code x on the individual product boxes contained inside the 30 shipping boxes, and vice-versa. Once i list the product, Amazon will allot me 2 FNSKU codes for each colour. I’ll cover the UPC codes on the individual product box of each colour with the FNSKU Code. Am i right? Also, the box (the Shipping box containing several units of the same product) has to have the country of origin, type of product and size, not the UPC code. Correct? Sorry for the long comment, one has to be specific & detailed to get the correct response.
@bodyfitness1240 l understand now. If l sell more than one items l only use 1 barcode but if l sell more items n different stuff n than l have to use 2 barcode am l right or qrong
Hello. Thank you for this video. Is it possible to make a practical video demonstrating all these? Having your audience see it probably will be a very helpful video.
@ I mean a detailed video showing how to create a listing (things have changed after AI), and then demonstrate how to print the labels, where to put the labels and how to package. I watched many of your videos and they are great but it’s just a lot of information and a couple of those videos have conflicting information creating confusion about UPC and FNSKU. Thank you
@ thank you VERY much. Super helpful. My last question and counting on you: I am new to Amazon and have gone through the process of private label, got the UPC, brand registry, trade mark etc. My product is listed on Amazon and I am ready to ship but I am now stuck in barcode. DO I need to print the UPC from GS1 and add it to the items packaging OR print the FNSKU and affix it to the items?
Hello! at 13:24 you mention entering a upc barcode in order to create a product listing. If i intend on selling multiple variations (ex. two sizes of same product), which upc do i enter here? Since each variation needs its own upc, will I be able to go in an add the other upc later? I'm a bit confused on what to do when multiple size variations are involved. I'd really appreciate some clarification/input!
Hello. Just create the parent listing with a new UPC barcode. Then add your variations with their own UPC in the Variations tab when creating the listing.
I'm confused about the difference between barcodes starting with "B0" and "X." When I completed the process, Amazon had me print the one starting with "B0." Are you saying I can't use that one on my packaging? Do I need to change it?
You can use B0 but your inventory will get commingled with any other sellers that are on your listing. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/mIqQzkasAeU/v-deo.html
I created a listing last year(individual listing of my own product) and selected "i dont have an external id" and i was able to create the listing and amazon gave me ids/barcodes for each variation that i could send to the manufacturer free of cost. now im trying to create another listing and it seems i need my own ids, did they change this recently?
Hello. I have a question for you. I saw in video how to get FNSKU label but can you do it before you register your brand because UPC code I entered has my brand name in it? When I click on "this product does not have a brand name" it says error 8572. Can I get somehow my FNSKU and in the meantime I resolve this with my branding?
by the way, if you need ship from China to amazon ,i would love to caculate the shipping cost for you,I am a trusted freight forwarder provide DDP service, professional and honest, and can also help you find supplier in China, once you need, welcome to contact
@CrescentKao so even if i am a brand owner, i can use FNSKU barcode for my brand. I don't need to buy the UPC barcode. I am correct? In the future, if i decide to buy UPC barcode, i can't change it right.
@CrescentKao i watched, but i didn't get it , IF my product has a manufacturer upc need amazon barcode, not my private UPC . This is was questions. Byt if i don't have private UPC. I still need a manufacturer UPC, and top on that, we stick amazon barcode. But if i have a private UPC, i don't need to stick to the amazon barcode.
@@PiRaNjLeS I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about. If you're doing private label, you need to buy a UPC barcode. I gave detailed examples with different products and I showed you where you need to put the barcode in the listing and on the packaging. I even have a downloadable barcode flowchart to help you choose what barcode and how many you need to buy, I suggest you rewatch the video and download the flowchart.
No I didn’t explain anything wrong. You have the option to put the UPC (manufacturer barcode) OR the Amazon barcode (FNSKU) on each unit. You should revisit the barcode guidelines that I explicitly went over in the video. The UPC doesn’t have to go on the shipping cartons, only the shipping plan box labels do. You should refer to the inbound shipping guidelines to see for yourself. Links to both guidelines are in the description.
