Exercise Diamond Storm 22 is part of a series of exercises that form the Air Warfare Instructor Course (AWIC). AWIC encompasses a range of academic activities and practical exercises that expose the candidates to complex scenarios, broadening and improving their skills; graduating humble, knowledgeable, approachable and expert instructors.
AWIC22 integrates warfighting functions across a range of specialisations to develop expert air warfare instructors who will represent the next generation of tactical and integrated warfare experts across the air combat spectrum.
Aircraft featured in this video include F-35A Lightning II, EA-18G Growler, KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport, and E-7A Wedgetail.
My young bloke & myself hung off the fence for every night launch & loved it. Nothing like afterburners in the evening 😁 More vids like this please. So looking forward to Pitch Black. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
So good to see this is happening for Australia. Amazing equipment and fantastic people operating it all. immensely pleasing and re assuring to know that you people and your skill and equipment exist and that you put it all on the line for Australia. Amazing people, thankyou all.
This is sick love the Air Force 🥳🥳🔥🔥
Those last few minutes of night take off's, with the first one with landing light creeping along the top of the grass then have an F-18 explode up into the air into that sunset sky...and all the following take off's culminating with the Wedgetail...just phenomenal footage...god bless you all that serve and protect this country...the Top End Protectors 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
This can’t get any better
I love the teaming of Super's with 35's. I'm no expert however I'd have thought this package, combined with tanker and E-7 support would present a 'challenge' to any OPFOR. Great stuff.
A superb video.
Donning the top gun stache!
Wow. Wow is all I can say
Great footage
love it
More Please.
FA/18 Super Hornet my favourite
As loud as those bastards were when I lived on base, damn it I miss that sound.
Any old radar operators from South Australia around? A documentary on 🛸 is on the pipe line 🤜🤛
I'm guessing that ground crewman's surname was Taylor.
I'm betting those flaperons don't flop around like American f18s by hand. We look after our stuff
