    Really good video to help show people how to take care of them properly.

    I’ve never replaced my filter and washed it just like the videos instruct. Personally don’t notice a performance loss. It’s just stained with no warping so far. I think your separation of the two filter parts is unnecessary.

    I wish i had come across your channel A LOT sooner. I bought a dyson vacuum and right after guanratee the battery died, I had to replace the brisels just before too and the filter and then the motor died...not worth the price I 100% agree

    “Shouldn’t be your only vacuum”
    It cost me $800. It should be the only one

      Price unfortunately does not match its capability. If you had to have one vacuum and you'd probably want to look at a normal plug-in vacuum like a Miele or SEBO

    Lots of issues with mine- call dyson- they make you go through unlimited troubleshooting- mine was a gift- I need to buy another vac- my dyson is not what it’s advertised to be

    Do you have a source on that 2-4 year claim?

      Dyson has claimed that several times.

      I haven’t seen commentary from Dyson which explicitly states a 2-4 year service life, however it’s noteworthy that their cordless vacuums come with a 2 year warranty versus the 5 year warranty on their corded vacuums, also Consumer Reports found that roughly 50% of cordless Dyson vacuums fail within the first 5 years. The press release is titled “Dyson Stick Vacuums Lose CR Recommendation Over Reliability Issues”

    • @Olliebobalong
      @Olliebobalong 3 роки тому +1

      @@a111z that’s entirely down to the battery. Lithium ion batteries usually only have a service life of 2-4 years. The V10 onwards have a very different power management setup which is supposed to hugely extend that.

    • @a111z
      @a111z 3 роки тому

      @@Olliebobalong not entirely, but certainly the bulk of issues are battery and charging related. Perhaps the newer models are better, but it’s not very confidence inspiring that they haven’t increased the warranty given their past problems.

    My man where is the source for this 2-4 year claim? You say it all the time but all you've said is "source: Dyson." Right, but where? An interview with James Dyson or a FAQ on the website?

      Various Dyson Representatives have repeated this over the years. It used to be posted on their website at some time don't know if it's still up there.
      I believe it was also mentioned here in a trip to one of their local stores.

    2 to 4 years for a $400 vacuum? I bought a Dyson because of its reputation but my V10 has NEVER had good suction

      @@Penryn87 I have a V10. I will say that my most used vacuum is a Roomba but really between the Roomba and the V10, I really don't need to use the corded vacuum. I have almost all hard surfaces. The V10 is awesome for stairs, which those are one of the carpeted surfaces I have.
