I think majority of the complaints were in regards to its plot and main characters which is... Understandable I guess. Not sure about the gameplay though, it looks enjoyable in your video, it looked crazy boring in other videos I saw, it's probably not the biggest problem with this game if it even is a problem.
By the way, have you ever considered doing a review of NieR: Automata?
Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood are good games, because they had plot development, and characters to love. Like Wyatt in The New Order, I liked him because he's a young man trying to pick up the tab when Fergus died.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love Fergus. But he made a point in his timeline that he cannot take lead because he's getting older. So was BJ. Really, they were going to pass with no young generation to pass on their skills. Which is why I thought Wyatt was more interesting. And for the fact the coked up dude did something AMAZING before he died. He knew America was segregated. But he still played the national anthem of America LOUD and PROUD! That's a true American.
What boiled my blood was America became a pantywaist for no good reason in The New Colossus. And for the fact they wet themselves after ONE NUKE. Seriously, they're going to cry over one city? When they had THOUSANDS of cities and 50 states to utilize against the Nazi war machine, and you're going to surrender to a human race purging facists? People who didn't have blue eyes and/or blonde hair, white skin, and is Jewish, were going to be executed. It also annoys me that they completely forgotten about the tanks. Just because they had robots, doesn't mean they are immune to 105mm, 75mm, and 76mm tank shells. They are designed to penetrate thick armor. Why the fuck were they trying to use bullets like it's their only way of shooting robots?!
There's always more than one way to win against a technology-advanced military. Guerilla Warfare. They can always hide their tanks in foliage which can cover them so they can set up a huge firing line and ambush the Nazis.
The New Colossus is a huge anti-American game. That only cared for bitching about America's segregation, ignoring the entire fact that the whites were also in danger of being purged. Not just the blacks. You'd think they'd realize they are allies instead of bitching over skin color. Especially after seeing the Nazis purging their people.
Captain Bodyshot I didn’t enjoy it.. level gated areas? I couldn’t be bothered.
Autobot Soldier this fucking this it why I fucking hated new colossus just fucking politics you think a game about just killing nazis can be simple to make nope
@@Escobar224 I could probably respond to you and Autobot Soldier, with several things in regards to why I kind of think these mind-sets are potentially pedantic, narrow-minded and born from bad faith and cognitive dissonance, that would come from someone who's been accustomed to a status quo that benefits them at the expense of others, along with being backed up by yes-man levels of positive re-enforcement (I mean for example, Japan already had two areas bombed with nukes and they surrendered. Unless this has to do with land mass or something, which is kind of debatable.), but knowing most cases of what I encountered regarding the backlash, you'd probably act like obnoxious stick-in-the-muds, who think projecting, humiliation, changing subjects, doubling down, refusing to allow breathing space for anyone else to get a word in, or just simply trying someone's patience counts as winning an intellectually stimulating debate.
This is gonna be a hottake for sure, lets see how people react.
You know how people are gonna react; The mob mentality of modern gamers will make them all swarm DX with mindless hate just because he's got a different opinion than them all.
@@vahlok1426 Eh, most sheeple will, but DX's got a history of being very critical yet very fair to some games and that'll rub off on some people if you get what I mean, sure its a opinion, and every opinion can be disputed, but as someone who's watched all his stuff a few times? Its not a bad take, esp since I was one of the people that was swept up in garbage game journalism reviews and forgot in my fury, that games journalism is a joke.
@@thepaulzdontforget Yes, you're right. Games journalism IS a joke, but the problem is that people. Keep. Following it. There's a time and a place for opinionated reviews, but blindly following the words of another and jumping on board the hate train is a trend that needs to die.
@@fivefivestix he's reviewing the game after patches which fixed the bullet sponges
There's this weird psychological effect that the presence of health bars has on players. All things considered, the enemies are about as durable as they are in the other two Wolfenstein reboot games. Watching blood fly out of an enemy and armor fly off is cathartic. But watching a bar tick down suddenly makes your bullets feel weaker. It's like people have been conditioned by the games of yesteryear to label every enemy with a health bar next to them a boss.
Yes, well said.
Honestly. I think the Health Bar must *die.*
Along with the Loading Screen.
The health bars can be toggled off in the menu, it took me out of it at first to, but flip them off and it feels and looks much better and mpre grounded.
You've earned a sub. Thank you for being a free thinker and not some overblown UA-camr following the money train by hating on this game without any logical reasoning due to the outrage culture that permeates the gaming community.
it wasn’t due to “outrage culture”, he’s made some good arguments but that doesn’t excuse the game being genuinely awful. Bug ridden, terrible story, low budget cutscenes, boring and uninspired perk tree, artificial difficulty, etc.. you’re being a hipster, stop.

its had alot of updates with difficulty, checkpoints and such since release
Youngblood is underrated
Id say on launch it deserved criticizm. The lack of checkpoints was idiotic, story while good very short, and game just felt like it wanted to waste your time?
Today? You can only go for main quests, and finish the game in 6 hours with no problem. Most of annoyances are gone, technical problems gixed and in general its a good game now.
The thing that pisses me off is that they couldnt release the game in the state it is today. While I do think its lackluster in many areas, in the very least the game shouldve been in current state at launch.
Quite frankly, I found it to be a decent game. Yeah the Twins can be annoying but then again, they were geniue about it so it was cringy in an understandable way. Its pretty short with many recycled levels but somehow keeps me engaged thanks to the semi-open nature of the levels, dynamic enemy spawns and side missions. Not to mention the combat being just like the previous games but I will say the RPG-like "level" system gave a sense of artificial difficulty at times but its nothing a good player can't handle.
It's not the best game out there but I have played much, much worse. The funny thing is, I've heard people say Youngblood is a Borderlands-style looter shooter with microtransactions. Clearly it's not that and the only thing I saw that required actual money was the Old Blood melee weapons and maybe the Cyberpunk skins (I got them as part of a bundle). For what Youngblood is - a Co-op focused spin-off, it was done well enough.
It makes me excited for what the third (and final?) game could be. How did BJ kill Hitler? How will the killswitch end the world if it succeeds? Would BJ give up and jump into an alternate, yet peaceful reality? Can we even make that kind of choice?
Anyway, thats my two cents.
The worst kind of cringe is when everyone takes it seriously, from the character themselves to others. But the Terror Twins get literally laughed at in the very first scene when they try to pull the "born to kill nazis" thing. And as for their teenage antics? Let's be honest, who else wasn't either a cringe or edgelord at the age of 18 or less? I still shudder thinking back to those days. :P
The gameplay really feels like borderlands with stealth options but how the fuck is this a looter shooter. Makes no sense
@@WolfhoundMercenary especially in the 80's, lol. I thought the vibe made it feel like a b Sci fi teen flick from that period which is what I felt they were going for.
Thanks for making this video. My friend and I had a blast going through this game. We spent about 25 hours in it, and we were kind of shocked at how much people were hating on it. I mean, it definitely has flaws, but it was totally worth the price of admission.

Wow not one reviewer I watched mentioned the ammo typing and how one is more effective against a certain enemy than the other I think I’ll give this game a try after all I liked new colossus
@Bruce Bee No, he just said that critics didn't mention this one important detail about the gameplay, making them seem unreliable, which might mean that like DX said none of the critics bother going deep into a game that they review and might be better than what they said.

@@pixelcount350
Yeah that's fair, his Stranding review came off as overly biased because he's so in love with Kojimas other work, he didn't really convince me how it's a great game.
Loving this game. Got the deluxe edition for $19.99 on PSN right now. Couldn’t be happier. Even solo.
I played this on console and easily noticed the difference between The New Order.
Huh, honestly it seems that most of the vitriol originally came from how bad it was on release (you're single player companion AI seems to actually stealth as opposed to running into every fight)
Armchair observation: they recently patched the damage and a whole lot of other things in the recent update, is it possible that the damage issue was actually a thing pre-patch? because watching other older play-thoughs, I could have sworn it took WAY longer to kill something with the correct ammo type, much less the wrong one. that plus being able to stealth properly saves ammo. It is possible that the other critics were experiencing things that were not balanced properly at the time
The question I have is that did you play this pre or post patch? because this does bring the argument of "do you have to review every patch?", this situation reminds me of 2 games called STRAFE and SLAIN. they were respectively trashed on release but had an updated version that made the game made it beloved after a critic or 2 re-reviewed them. (the re-releases being STRAFE: MILLENNIUM EDITION and SLAIN: BACK FROM HELL)
Not saying you're wrong but I do think you might have missed some context on those older reviews.
Main Point: The patches definitely changed a lot of somethings, it would be tiring to keep revisiting a game again and a gain in the hope it get's good every patch, but at the same time, re-reviews can show bad games trying to do good. Where should the middle ground be? I never buy a game in the HOPE that it gets good eventually, I just want it to be good on release or buy it when it gets good. (plot is generally taste in the end though)
So, I played the game at release (preordered) and played it throughout the month, finally finishing it on the 29th. The patch went live on the 28th. Any of the AI stealth stuff is pre-patch, they stealthed along with me 90% of the time, with the "I'm going to run into this big boss fight and fuck us both" happening twice. I very much played the same version of the game all those release reviews did, and the only thing I could come up with to explain these differences was that they were either using the wrong ammo type, OR, they just didn't do base upgrades on the guns which turn the DPS and damage up sometimes ten fold, obliterating all the human enemies. It's also possible they could have played the game on harder difficulties but I think a lot of my criticism still stands in that regard. I recently played through a chunk of The New Order again on Uber difficulty and some enemies are hard as balls to take down, and could very well also be described as bullet sponges. I'd simply describe them as strong enemies, like I would with Youngblood. I think this verbiage was only used because of the RPG mechanics without any context or thought put into it. You pose an interesting question, and one I thought of as I played through Homefront: The Revolution last year. Terrible game at launch but they spent a year patching it and I ended up loving it. Which version is the right review? I'm going to go with the last version of the game although I certainly understand the argument and need for reviews of a game's first patches.
@@DXFromYT IMO, they tend to be more a bullet sponge in the new order because enemies are set pieces rather than obstacles. Rpg mechanics need a constant threat but linear campaigns can have stronger enemies due to them being more like climax events or hi beats
The bruiser brothers from the original doom are the best example. They are "minibosses" because the strongest thing you probably have (assume you dont secret hunt) are the chaingun and shotgun.
TL:DR bullet sponges are contextual. An enemy encountered often with medium hp may feel more "bullet spongy" than say...a boss with a lot of HP
(Personal equation: relative hp + encounter rate + player power at given time = general feeling of spongyness or lack of)
DX?? You NEVER disappoint, man. You pretty much summed up my views on this game. I don't know if you remember some of the comments I posted on your previous vids mentioning YOUNGBLOOD, around the time it released. I just really didn't get the outright hate for this game. I understood SOME of the complaints (like not being able to fucking PAUSE your game outside of online multiplayer, or the more looter shooter aspect implemented for weapon customization, etc.), quite a few having been addressed in recent patches like you mentioned, but I just NEVER understood the bashfest this game received. No one has yet presented their hate for this game in a succinct manner, nor do I think they ever could or will.
The sad thing is that it wasn't just game reviewers, but also gamers that trashed it. I KNEW anyone who bashed it either didn't know how to play first person shooters, or they were just jumping in on the bash YOUNGBLOOD bandwagon having NEVER EVEN PLAYED THE GAME, as a lot of people nowadays are wont to do (CRACKDOWN 3). The gameplay of Youngblood is damn good, and I can't for the life of me, understand anyone's disdain for it. It feels like WOLFENSTEIN, albeit notably tweaked.
Anyways, good vid. Keep it up.

Honestly, the gameplay, leveling up system, upgrade system, mission structures etc were all great in this game, it felt very far cry, with repetitive but consistent missions. The only thing i disliked was the sisters.
This is the best review of Wolfenstein Youngblood that I have seen. My only complaint is that the final boss is “too hard” solo because the sister AI is too dumb to stay on one side of the platform so you can attack from behind in the first part. I didn’t buy it initially because of all the crappy reviews, but they were wrong and I had a blast.

I have just completed it and enjoyed every second. Much more enjoyable than the previous. One of my favorite Wolfensteins. Didn't understand the bad reviews.
Bought the game because of this video and had a blast. Honestly some of the most fun I've had with a shooter.
Great Review man.
Bro i love you, people don't appreciate all the love and detail that went into the world, yeah it a lot more tongue and cheek this time around but Wolf 2's weird whiplash in tone and the ad campaign put me more in a light hearted mindset for this. It's a neat 40$ budget title and i am truly surprised that most people expect another huge deep dark Blasko Tale. This was a blast to play with my buddy!
The one reason I fucking hate this game for is that I cannot dual weild shotguns and assault rifles. Seriously that was the best part of the whole Saga.
What do you mean by "I'm supposed to tell you....", as if you've been pressured into having a certain perspective or opinion on the characters specifically? Have you? I doubt it tbh, but i don't think you liking this game is a problem, nor should it be. Let's be honest though, if you can handle that level of cringe then more power to you mate. I enjoy yr videos, waiting for the next one. Cheers
Arkane Studios worked on this?! How tf did I miss this?! Arkane´s take on Wolfenstein, sign me up!
I had a similar situation with Assassin's Creed Odyssey. People were talking about needing to grind levels or to buy the experience packs and none of that was real for me, my brother or a friend that also played it. It was also nitpicked to make it look way worse than it was by many and it honestly is one of my favourite games from the PS4 along with Spiderman and Dark Souls 3.
Thanks for the video, I just bought the game after hearing your opinion. It was like 5 dollars (different currency in my country) and it just seemed to me like a better game than what reviewers snd UA-camrs were describing.
It's not much to give back, but I subscribed.
Thanks and glad to hear that's the case. This is a very different game person to person.
Youngblood is barrel of monkeys on Switch. I haven’t stopped playing it, post missions.

Excellent analysis.
I had the problem with the alarms, all alarms disabled, Komandants killed, but after i got revelaed, still there was more soldiers pouring from somewhere.... but otherwise i like the game a lot!
I loved this game. It's the most fun of all the Wolfenstein games in my opinion.

Subscribed. The fact you actually had the strength to go against the tide and explained with 2+2=4 and cool hard logic why the game is underrated/overhated, is very respectable.
I greatly liked this game and wished there was more to it, even tried to make some GZDoom mods based off of it.
I think the fact I grew up in the late 80's in France probably biased me though :).
Wouldn’t have considered trying this game until this video got recommended to me today honestly. Kinda just went along with all the reviews at launch not really considering how long they played or if they understood the game mechanics well enough to play better. In any case i might pick this up when its on sale. Maybe convince a buddy to get it too.
Ooooooo. DX actually likes a game that people universally hates? Time to get the Popcorn because this is going to be interesting.
To be fair, it's hardly universally hated given it reviewed fairly well. Though I've heard it's kind of MXT heavy which was a real turn-off.

I recently purchased this game for $4.99 on the PlayStation store and have almost no complaints. I don’t understand why so many people shit on it when it released it really isn’t that terrible of a game, and the only thing that I can see getting on peoples nerves is the dialogue between the twins.
Great video, nice to see something that isnt full of hate for this game. Going to pick this one up.
this is what i needed
I was unable to select 1440p...
Btw, just finished the game couple of days ago on hard difficulty and the stealth seems to have been changed/made more difficult since the launch of the game. At least that's what I gathered from watching this video. For example, the enemies will get alerted if you kill someone even 10 meters away from them, sometimes even with an silenced weapon or a throw-able. But guess that makes since as it's been for a while since the game's release. Also some of the stronger mobs on higher difficulty like hard now take a bit longer to kill even with fully upgraded weapons in the best possible situations. My character (or one of the B.J. Blazkowicz daughters) was lvl 47-49 before the end of the main story mission.
I honestly found the sisters to be really funny and endearing, the only thing about them that annoyed me is how well they get along
I'm really happy you made this video, i think i'll pick this up even if it isn't necessarily the best game ever it still looks fun

Your ending statements has aged pretty well
I LOVED the writing in this game, I'm very anal about the "quirky relatable nerds" but I think this game nails it.
And the music and world makes me cry, it's so sleek and fleshed out.
The weapon wheel should be smooth and simple to grab.
Because it's not it makes the game play that much more of a stuttering chore.
I didn't care for the inconveniences of the bullet type; not because of potential sponges. Mostly because it's a reminder of how bad the weapon wheel is to me.
I wouldn't want a slowdown thing like doom because the games are already 2 peas in a pod.
Doom is more rabid and heavy, like an unstoppable force/adrenaline rush. Those few seconds of slow down are intricate for that game as that makes for little breaks in-between the game play.
Wolfenstein is that but if that adrenaline rush wore off and you were a person again. You're in a live fire fight, and I think I'd hinder the game.
I know the weapon wheel is a little thing to bitch about, but your constantly using it. And it plays a big part of the gameplay.
OH YEAH, the stealth sucks, but I think this was a test to see how it does in a Wolfenstein game. it'll be better in the next one most likely.
The only person I've seen doing total justice and being honest about youngblood i just had to replay this on pc to appreciate it ..thanks mane
I loved young blood just some dlc would be amazing 👍
Youngblood was flawed but awesome. The sisters were fun, the gunplay was polished, and it looks/sounds great.
I guess the market just isn't ready for highly module gameplay as seen in this game and deathloop. This game screams gameplay, player choice and good old level design. Didn't even know arkane had its hands over it; but I'm not surprised since that art style is very specific and it works with what Wolf has been doing as of late. The issue probably has to do with the name having Wolfenstein on it. This is definitely a precursor to red fall with how to make an Immersive Sim with coop in mind.
I’ve had a blast playing Woldenstein Youngblood and consider it the second best game in the series next to Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus. The only thing I didn’t like in the game was the personalities of the twins, like a Southern belle Ultra Tomboy type girl that belches when she talks, disgusting.
The gameplay loop was fun and playing co-op online with matchmaking or with a buddy is the only way to play the game. The different abilities add depth and an extra dimension to the game. I agree 100% the complaint that the enemies are bullet sponges is bs. Playing the game co-op is fun and there are not a lot of fun co-op games to choose from and play, there aren’t even a lot of fun single player campaign games to play. I rarely used invisibility and played the entire game, guns blazing, with very few exceptions. Fun to play, that’s all I care about 7 / 10
Every time you hear "gameplay," do a shot. RIP
I loved this game i never played any of the other games not a fan boy injust have a thing for 80s cold war and crysis type gun play
I heard this game was bad because it's a semi open world RPG shooter by the makers of Dishonored with stealth, good combat and upgradeable weapons and gear that has a leveling up system and enemies can be bullet spongey and too hard when you're under-leveled (like every RPG ever) and had to grind up to get the best gear.
I was thinking... This actually sounds like my type of game. They hated it because Wolfenstein is normally just a straight up first person shooter and not a borderlands style RPG shooter.
Although the characters do seem cringey. This SJW influence is getting out of hand. People are dissing and praising games now over political reasons rather than quality of game.
I've never played the game but from my perceptive it sounds like a decent GAME with a weak story.
Also borderlands is a game everyone loves and that was doing the whole different bullets for different enemies thing since it's inception.
(Fire weapons do more damage against ice monsters for example or how using a electric gun on a robot barely does any damage!)
@@3xclu5iveOfficial it can ruin stories and can be annoying, but with games story is secondary to gameplay which sounds like a mix between borderlands and Dishonored both of which I really enjoy. I guess this does alienate old fans abit but attracts RPG lovers like myself. A lot of the marvel films that have been bashed for having "SJW themes" aren't anywhere near as bad or pushy as people make out. Heard critics say antman and the wasp was terrible because they focused more on wasp and antman was pushed to the side. Which actually makes sense because we've already seen antman in a lot now, so why wouldn't they wanna show off this new superhero? it wasn't all to push an agenda...
@@NewOrderOfAlexandria Yeah definitely. I never care about story, unless it's actually really important, which for this franchise, it really isn't imo
Literally no one praises Youngblood for its characters, not even for political reasons. And there is not a single blip of politics or propaganda in the entire game. No feminism, no anti-white, communism or antifa support... nothing. Unless you think just because you play as girls (in a spinoff no less), it's somehow SJW?
Subbing! I got this game and I'm currently enjoying it. Then I read the reviews. Wow. I almost questioned my pick up, trying to find the bad that it seems most are talking about. Nope, still like it. Then again I'm not a sponsored pro either. Additionally, this is the first Wolfenstein game I've ever played. Maybe I just don't know better. But the game is fun. My daughters watch me play and they like it. Don't worry, they are 18 and 19 😂
Get The New Order, The Old Blood and New Colossus, all are great!
I liked it too. Your vid states EXACTLY my opinion. Even though you gotta say, especially since patch 1.05, it truly IS the game it should have been from day 1, removing most flaws of the release version. Youngblood's main and fatal flaw imo at release was the ubiquitous ammo shortage. You should NEVER EVER get into the dilemma of running out of ammo in a Wolfenstein game, which frequently happened upon dying. Also they should've explained the different armor- and ammotypes WAY better. I learned the facts about that by watching some reviews AFTER I was time and time scratching my head why some enemies dropped instantly, while others soaked up five magazines and still stood unscratched... Besides, I liked the hilarious twin sisters, and I LOVED the brutal gunplay, the earthshattering sounds, and not to be forgotten, the gore, oh the gore... I didn't have as much fun turning my enemies into red paste since Rage 2.
I actually agree with you about the poor communication of changes that Youngblood has compared to the previous entries. I honestly didn't know about the looter shooter-esque system until the day of release, which by that time my copy was already set to arrive in the mail. That's not to say that it affected my enjoyment of the game any, but I can somewhat understand the issues other players could have had.

People are just such men baby’s I played the game with a friend and I actually really enjoyed it it got why they made the characters more “funny” probably to make a game more fun and well just not as much dramatic like the first two games have their fun moments but they do have quiet a lot of dark themes which is cool I enjoyed both games in different ways but still enjoyed it
I'm enjoying it now on a 2080ti until my 3080 arrives With ray tracing and DLSS it is a nice visual experience and the story and gameplay are mostly decent . I'd recommend if you have microsoft game pass as it's part of that subscription.
I liked Wolfenstein Youngblood for its attention to continuity with the previous games, as well as the fact that the game gave me the ability to play the game with my friends and possibly make the story better with the amount of banter between my friend and I.
This game is like a combination of Army of Two And Perfect Dark
Good comparison, i see it more of a mix of wolfenstein 2009+dishonored
Nice to see something positive towards this, it really wasn't that bad, atleast was an improvement over Wolfenstein 2
Oh a different opinion this time. My interest of this game has come back.

Hard to say? I built my PC two years ago and it still handles anything max I throw at it at 2560x1080. I've got a Ryzen 7 1700 and a GTX 1070. So you should look for anything above that as a starting point.
@@DXFromYT I saw a couple of benchmark videos showing that graphics cards like the RTX 2070 and the RX 5700 XT gpu could slightly go above 60 FPS on 21:9 1080p on games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and got worried. I love the idea of 21:9 gaming, however, the benchmarking videos always lead me feeling legendarily confused when I watch your videos and seeing that your gameplay runs without issue. So yeah, call me crazy for thinking this, but I'm completely confused
Yeah, it's very strange. It's probably because they have RTX enabled, that halves your framerate. I don't have it enabled in any game.
@@DXFromYT I find the RTX features (As of now) completely worthless on a graphical and gameplay perspective. However, funny thing about that was that RTX wasn't on when I saw a benchmark video comparing the RTX 2070 to the RX Vega 64, which is very strange because the RTX 2070 is able to handle games like Sekiro, Shadow of War, and Just Cause 3 and 4 just fine in other videos, and those are with an Ryzen 5 2600 processor, the processor that comes with the shitty wraith stealth cooler (Seriously, that air cooler is trash). In Joker Productions' video (No personal shade with the guy. I enjoy him as a tech/gaming news channel) on 3440x1440p with the RTX 2070 going up against the RX Vega 64, they run, with RTX turned off, lower than 60 fps. This also happens with the recent Ryzen 9 3900x with the RX 5700 xt. It leaves me to think about many questions about these things, all of them branching from one big question I have with these videos. Are benchmark videos really that reliable?
Honestly, they shouldn't be so unreliable. Not sure why there's such weird frames on those, probably because of the 4k. I quite like RTX, can't wait to get an RTX card, I'm the type to notice those things.
Good job my guy.. I love the wolfenstein series.. this is actually a fun game to me
This game is fun as hell
Mechanics wise? Maybe, but it is like Odyssey, it didn't need level based damage, and the story is Horrible
Odyssey isnt bad jeez, its just not an assassins creed game, but a good game still
I played wolfenstein Youngblood today in fact and I’m really liking the game right now
Loved this game, especially after the 1.0.5 update, and to me it's even better than New colossus, didn't understand the hatred at all.
Finally!!! Someone that have brain to play and review this game
Sometimes there will be some games that many hate and other enjoy. I’m a sucker for rpg/ loot based games, and I managed to get the deluxe version of this game on sale cheaper than the base game. I also managed to get some twitch prime stuff for this game as well and I can’t wait to jump into it. Hopefully they will keep updating it with more content
That's why I love your vids, you don't follow trends and jump on the hate bandwagon just to get a few clicks for confirmation bias, the fact is my least favorite parts of all these Wolfenstein games is the stealth and story, the loud gunplay is clearly the best part of these games and if you know what your doing, young blood is clearly the best at this
How do you think this game will tie into Wolfenstein 3? A lot of people believe that 3 will take place directly after YoungBlood. However, recently I’ve been seeing a lot of people who believe that 3 will take place directly after TNC, leaving the events of this game non canon. Personally, I’d prefer that 3 would pick up after the ending of TNC but halfway though the game for there to be a time skip that brings us back to the ending of YB. Since it was mentioned numerous times throughout YoungBlood that BJ had killed Hitler in the late 60s, I’m really hoping they show this in Wolfenstein 3, whenever that comes out. I’m a little concerned that they might cancel it, since this game was so poorly received but MachineGames did say that Wolfenstein 3 is still coming no matter what.
I also think the game make take place after TNC because of the stuff mentioned about Hitler. I like you idea of having it take place in both eras. Honestly wouldn't mind it taking place way past this game. They have lots of options. Wolfenstein 3 is definitely still happening.
A review of youngblood without all the complaints being "SJW'S IN MY WOLFENSTEIN BAD" so good work.
Well now I want to fucking play it.
yeah, thanks. I won't click on a hysterical raving video that says anything is "garbage" seriously.
I don't agree with you on the bullet sponge thing. While I was very happy to learn a lot of the issue was just about the ammo types, I still got to points in the game (like fighting large enemies) where I simply could not get enough of the ammo type I needed to defeat it in a reasonable amount of time. This is the one fatal flaw in the game for me. Everything else about the game I like.
Edit: It also never occurred to me to play this as a stealth game. Maybe that had something to do with why I found ammunition scarce and you didn't.
I didn’t like the twins the best but this video made me like them a bit more
“Just because a game is bad doesn’t mean most people won’t enjoy it. Some people will find it enjoyable because of what’s good with it” this is one thing I follow. If the game is fun then I’ll play it even if it has problems.
Same
Same here ... I'm still enjoying it....
Yeah, I'm willing to look past any flaws, if it still manages to give off an enjoyable (or at least, interesting) experience.
Which kind of personally makes it all the more baffling, when I look at a number of the backlash targeted at The New Colossus.
(Like, seriously, this is not some "soy boy communist" version of propaganda games like Ethnic Cleansing or Zog's Nightmare. It sounds more like it touched a nerve in a way, that only a person that's accustomed with a status quo that benefits them at the expense of others, with yes-man level positive re-enforcement to back it up, can feel.)
I'm late on this thread and to the Wolfenstein series. I really like the game despite reading all the crazy bad reviews. I thought maybe I just didn't know better, this is the first Wolfenstein game I've ever played. But this game has been enjoyable. But I've had a nack for playing "sorry" games since the NES days.
just like bethesda games, early access steam games, cyberpunk 2077
