- Big Red is a challange for any 4wd, especially being cut up by thousands after the Big Red Bash. Watch the Subaru Forester tackle the dune and leave everyone shocked
All the dislikes are from the heavy 4wd guys that get stuck lol. go Subaru. Foz
Picking up a Forester this week.
Can't bloody wait!
Love how easy the forester is doing that while others getting stuck
u3962521 right? One would assume an awd has no chance if 4x4 struggles.
It does it all so easily
*Me* looking at 4wd reviews for when I move out of the city.
20 mins into subies climbing sand videos on youtube...
*me now* looking at subies on carsales.
Every 4wd when that got back from that trip *honey I'm seeling 4x4 an getting a subaru forester* haha
Love the kid yelling 'go faster' then yell out 'yay' as you made it to the top
We have done the Simpson with Subarus and both of our Foresters have crossed it 12 times each!
lightweight turbo awd = sand demon
Thinner tyres.
That was awesome and so satisfying to watch. SICK FORESTER!
Nothing beats subies AWD system.
Fuckin A right! Love our XTs!!!
Am I the only one who thought there was a mosquito in my headset?
Haha..true..
was dodging for nothing when i heard the fly in headset lol
@ 2:00 hit the side of my head...
4x4 - "Too steep and soft, can't make it" Subaru - "Hold my Sake"
hold my vape
Subarus are light and that makes a difference.
All those big heavy Land Cruisers would be spewing! Up the Subie, love my 09XT
Nice run mate.
Well done. Putting some of the big boys to shame!
hey mate, Id love to know more about the car! what tyres/rims you running? who fitted the snorkel? whats it off?! Cheers mate! makes me love my XT even more now!
That's just one more for the Subaru team
That was gold 😀👍🤟
The flies scared the shit out of me hahah
Subaru the best for everything.
awsome always a subaru first yeahhhh
OMG, the fly at 2:00
whoooo! watching this again
I was wondering does the turbo help much when you're doing this climbs? or a NA Forester would have equal opportunity to conquer this
Ive had both and turbo charged is 100x better
Any footage of the SH Forester that was there making the climb?
Only little red sorry
Power to weight ratio! Doesn’t sink like the big trucks
Well, that was awesome!
How could you expect anything less from a Subaru?
Awesome!!
All those other trucks are so heavy and the tracks are heavily rutted
Excuses excuses
Great video
Where did you get your front and rear bar they look fantastic
looks like subaxtreme in Goulburn NSW
OK, so I know that can be done by a subie, just give us the low down, lifts, springs, trans mods, stone guards...hungry for info!
oh! wheels and tyres - I forgot to ask about wheels and tyres!!
I'm wonderin which one is better at offroading and why ?
2004 Forester or 2009 forester
The automatic in either model. One has slightly higher factory ground clearance.
Bro that forester has low or is just the awd system?? I'm thinking to buy a forester turbo ej20 but i don't know which one is best, 2004 or 2010
its an auto so no low range
What???? I thought Toyota’s Rav and Honda’s crv were the kings of off road.... nicely done subaru!
Great! What tires are you using?
BFG all terrains
is the automatic better than stick for any reason in this rig? Better for the turbo or sand? or is it just what you have? I've been eyeballing the xt manuals to replace my frontier/navarra. I miss my lil foresters lots of days.
where can i find that bull bar you got?
Where is your bash plate from? Trying to find one myself
Subaxtreme with a custom radiator plate
What bumper and underbelly protection is on that sg9?
Subaxtreme in New South Wales
Man how fuel did you have to bring. I just got my 04 xt tuned and it only get 400ks out of a tank. Is there some way to put a long range tank in the Subys??? Cheers mate 👌👌
Hi mate, yea unfortunately that’s about right with our little tanks. There’s no real way of being able to put a second tank in/ bigger tank unless you do something fancy in the spare wheel spot.
I have a rear bar which I can carry 40L on and I have a custom tank which holds 60L I carry on my roof
What did you do do to it? :-) I've had my 07 XT manual, tuned to 200kw heaps of torque and still gets 600km on open roads. Are you talking active 4wd km's?
@@jwlycra well that's nuts, with or 50L tanks and getting around about 12LPH I can only get 400ks and I have about 170kw with stock turbo and 3 inch turbo back exhaust
@@soundslikeaplan841 my suby has a 60L tank. Average about 11km/L or 0.9 L/km so not much difference to yours there. If you're doing active offroading it dops quite a bit.
@@jwlycra hmm yeah there you go, I do wish I had a bigger tank
SUBARU !!!!! THE BEST 4X4
did you have it in low rage at any point? kinda sucks my foz doesnt have low range. SH foz
No low range, the auto doesn’t have it. In saying that I don’t think there’s ever been a time where I wanted/ needed low range
Hey man where did you get your roof rack?
rhino rack
mitchfan01 awesome thanks!!
Yota sheep must hate you for that...
what size wheels and tires do you run? and is it lifted or stock ?
16 inch 215/70
What block? EJ255T?
yeah it would be
What size lift is on your forrester?
2.5 inch rear blocks with longer king springs in the rear and 2 inch blocks with kings in the front
thats a lot of damage to vegetation those tracks were not there only ever 3 tracks now look at the mess
Is your Forester auto or manual?
Auto mate
auto
What are the specs and mods?
There is so much to list! any specifics?
@@mitchfan01 suspension?
Subi lift oz 2.5 inch blocks in the rear with kings springs. 2.0 inch blocks in the front with king springs
Pizza cutters. Skinnier tyres is the key
what kind of tire pressure do you need to be running for climbs like this?
Around 15 psi - may even need to go less
12 psi will do it very easy with low spped
