Henry Rollins does what he can do, he tells his mind, he looks at his moments the only way he knows how, through his own eyes. He was born in the decade he was, he grew up with struggles and joys and f**ed up mistakes just like any other human. He always seems genuine and willing to admit when he is guilty of faults and shortcomings but he always wants you to remember that he’s a guy who feels like he’s the luckiest man and tries hard not to forget that. He also has fun stories and truly cares about people wanting to listen to him, you don’t have to listen or pay to hear him. He’s going to have an adventure for himself and if you want to ask him about something he’s able and willing to talk to you: as a fellow human….. More successful people should learn how to talk truth to their existence like Rollins can. He can live the rock and roll dream and still take time to self analyse and check in with the fans that helped him make a dream come true in the first place…..
Going to the Meet & Greet in Omaha on Sunday and never understood why he stopped meeting people by the bus until now,so I'm relieved Seen him live a few times over the years and have been inspired for much longer so I'm looking forward to it!
I got to the very end of the vid, where he's talking about X, but then it cuts off, and the next video starts and it's skipped ahead to him talking about Jeffrey from Gun Club. Why won't he say the name of X's guitar player? Does anyone know what happened there? All I can find online is a pic of the 2 of them sitting side by side at a table for autographs. Please, somebody, fill me in? Thanks
it's great that he's doing what he loves, but it's a lot of "nostalgic"/punk rock era type stuff now. i really wish he had gone a different direction and continued to make music...because Rollins Band stuff was GREAT...
I remember Henry saying "owning a gun isn't a right, it's a privilege!" It is literally in the Bill of "Rights". I enjoy him but often times he's a bit sanctimonious.
Is this the White House? Why the screened questions on paper? Wtf Also back when him and Ian would see Ted Nugent he was referred to as nothing less than stellar. Henry is reversing his position out of politics. This stuff is recorded. I was dooped by Rollins.
Yeah... you can change your opinion about someone. Especially when theyre as bugfuck as Nugent. I guess traveling the all over the world talking to people like Rollins does makes you more... ya know... empathetic to humanity. Maybe Nugent should try it. Maybe you should too.
@@DanJackson1977 I saw Henry for the first time in Seattle 2.13.96, and most recently last week, and about twenty times in between. He’s consistently maintained that early Nugent records are unfuckwithable, that Nugent records after he fired his first band are not great, and that Nugent himself is a loud idiot.
Henry Rollins is very intelligent, he has a great attitude, and he's very positive. I also enjoy his spoken word stuff, and he's a good actor too.
Rollins & Ian for president!!!!
I'd vote for Henry. 👍

That was extremely eloquent sir.
Still looking jacked too.

amazing, left me on such a cliff hanger, I must hear the rest!

traveling afghanistan via military handlers and moving without such are very different experiences. good Q&A here.
I would’ve seen him in Toledo OH around this time, but tickets were ridiculously high...

What club was he talking about in the beginning? The Nick?
What's Henry's beef with Billy Zoom?
Who is Billy Zoom?

Relax. No one’s coming for your guns. Christ.
A " sanctimonious bit" is like saying the Vatican is a small home.

A large portion of felons are not allowed to own guns. That sounds like a privilege to me!
he's best when he sticks to talking about music
Henry is so much more than a musician. To hear him only talk about music is getting short changed.
@zxbc1 as a musician I agree
All of the information Henry has should be treasured and I for one love his music and stories equally

He’s told that same story about Van Halen upstaging Nugent for at least 20 years

BTW, he literally explains why he does the Q&A cards like right at the start of this thing. Did ya miss it?
@@DanJackson1977 I love Rollins but you can't change your position about years of recanting stories on tape as facts. That's my grievance.

This guy is King of the Posers. seriously, i mean he really has made the most profit and got the most cred of all posers.
Dude. I'm a rollins fan, but I'm giving respect for that post whether you're trolling or for real. Lol
