Right. In terms of power in a fight they can bring to a fight, it goes something like Accel > Dark Matter > Gunha > Railgun > Meltdowner > Misaki >>>> Aihana Etsu. But Aihana Etsu has more supportive powers. But that's not to say that he can't do 1v1 either, it's just that they have more glaring weaknesses that can be exploited.

His real power is to give others power of what they imagine to be their ideal selves. As you can imagine, he dislikes Touma, because Touma is all about you are strong enough as is.

Pantsalonis touma would still lose because gunha is still physically stronger and faster than him and he can fight without his powers to. This is assuming that they just have a regular fight and not a fight to the death in which case touma would probably win because his right arm wonβt let him die....probably

Sogiita Gunnha: The only person who could look cool without knowing what the fuck he is doing.
So according to Ollerus, if Gunha understood his own powers he would easily be able to defeat him. That's right, Gunha would be easily be able to defeat Ollerus, the insanely powerful magician who almost became a magic god and was able to give Othinus of all people a decent fight. Considering that Accelerator doesn't even come close to the power of a magic god, it's quite possible that Gunha would be the absolute strongest Level 5 if he simply understood his powers better.

Its amazing how in a series we have so so many people who could either solo or at the very least compete/be decent in your favorite anime universe (or even beyond). 7 level 5s each with an unique ability, magicians who actually explain the logic and reasoning behind their magic instead of just waving their item and its still as effective/op in some cases, magic gods or comparable beings who literally alter universe and phases, actual masterminds in both science and magic and of course the mc himself who has an absurd amount of secrets inside his body and only the author himself knows his limits for now. And still manage to produce an amazing story in small plots or big scales :)

Accelerator: Strongest ARTIFICIAL Esper. Academy City pours most of its resources into studying him and trying to make Accelerator a level 6.
Gunha Sogiita: Strongest GEMSTONE Esper. Not only is he one of the 7 level 5s, he one of the 50 NATURAL Espers in the world. If he trained his power more he'd probably be able to beat Accelerator easily, when when Awakened.
don't forget, Gunha was born as a level 5 , so as soon as his power manifested HE COULD PULL OFF SHIT LIKE THIS!

@@saxor96 β Saxor KH true, I inferred you are born a gemstone or not, and something(other then the normal AC method) needs to just awaken your powers , and pretty sure in some of the light novels they mentioned that both Accelerator and Gunha were level 5's as soon as their powers manifested , its probably somewhere in SS2 or NT7 can't think of any other places that'd go into detail about gemstones
I would also really love form Kemachi to spend some time about how Gemstones truly differ from other espers, such as is the side effect of them using magic the same or worse?

It actually IS based on how powerful they are, the canon explanation as to why Gunha seems more powerful than his rank might suggest is that his powers are "hard to understand" and so he's underrated.

The ranking is based on development value and how beneficial they are to the city leaderβs plan. If solely based on pure power and combat ability, Gunhaa is easily on the same level as Accelerator (though only the pre-white wings version)
Accelerator's power stops working when he does not understand how the *other* power works
Gunha is on a different level, he can make things work without understanding why they work

It's pratically reality-warping , the only real weakness is that he don't fully understand it's power either and he is mentally inclined to work under a Battle Shounen Narrative.

To anyone who read the manga are we going to see a lot of sogiita hopefully?
If the dont adapt Toaru Kagaku no Fanfare we'll see him in ep 2 and he'll be apart of a fight this season which is the best fight the anime has gotten to so far, but we'll get more if they adapt fanfare he doesn't really show up too often
saddly not as much as we'd love to, he has a few scenes at the start of this arc, a good amount in the final fight, and then that's it for this arc
if you want more of him , after the anime wraps I'd recommend going to read to aru railgun Astral buddy in the current arc he seams to be playing a major role, and after almost 12 or so years of him playing on and off bit roles , finally get a grasp of what his power is

This guyβs got the same voice actor as the one who plays Rei Kiriyama in the anime March comes in like a Lion. They are like totally opposite characters in every possible way and I cannot see. Accelerators voice actor also plays a character in that anime, itβs kinda funny to hear the voice that killed 10,000 clones play a character who tries to support Rei in his depression. Some voice actors are just really talented

My favorite level 5 character arc was Shoukuho Misaki. I used to really dislike her until I got to the Mental Out arc. Her involvement in the more recent Kamijou arc made me feel even more sorry for her.

I wonder if gunhas power works like a battery? The guys a hard worker. So he moves a lot. The more he moves the more power he stockpiles. And because he's constantly moving he's always building up energy so the amount of power he can summon essentially has no limit. And once he's got the power he can do things like fortify himself. Shoot energy blasts. And propel himself through air and enhance his own physical strength.
This energy cannot be transferred to another person nor can it be dispersed. Once Gunha builds up a charge it remains inside of him for as long as he wants it too until he decides to release it.

I mean thats one of the theories due to what Ollerus says. However its defined that while what he does seems to twist reality, its quite different than actual reality warping. Hence it still in universe having no explanation, hell Ollerus said if Gunha actually knew what his powers did he be a dead man.

I mean it's a neat idea, but its not anything that Index has explicitly stated. All we know is that Gunha's ability functions similarly to the magic gods a way, never gone in depth as to how. Which makes all thoughts on what it is mere speculations at best.
