  • Student Dr. Hunter Kramer- "Pharmacy Benefit Managers: Concerning Business Practices and Legislative Reforms ". SD Kramer is a 4th year student on the KCU campus. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2019 with a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. He has participated in research with Dr. Robert White’s Duchenne muscular dystrophy lab and has published articles on various topics such as Ollier’s disease, Takotsubo syndrome, and readability analyses. Outside of research, Hunter also spends his time on healthcare advocacy with the American Medical Association, where he co-authored a resolution on environmental health and helps advise other students on legislative topics. After school, you can find him running the trails of Kansas City, exploring local restaurants and bars, or hanging out with his two cats, Marlee & Oscar. Today, Hunter will be presenting information from an original manuscript on Pharmacy Benefits Managers, which will discuss what they do, why they are controversial, and recent legislative efforts to regulate them.
