Simply awesome, you made that Arbor with such simplicity and effortless techniques. Thank you for the measurements, your camera was well positioned. Great video. I've watched countless diy videos on arbors, only now I feel ready to try my own building.

I wanted to build an arbor and looked for easy to follow instructions. I came across yours and they are so easy to follow and understand. My husband and i are almost half way through. Its going to look amazing. Thanks from an active 71 year old. Just love doing projects. Without help from great people like you it would be pretty much impossible.

Hi Rachel! Thanks a lot for posting this video. I was initially planning to follow the steps in the Bunnings Arbor tutorial / video but stumbled upon yours and found it a lot more detailed and easier to follow. I'm at the last step of installing rafters but I'm not sure on the overhang for a rafter for best aesthetics. I'm hoping to cut out a bit of detail at the ends of the rafters, possibly a half moon but keen to know your thoughts on the size (length) of the overhang for the rafters. The top of my Arbor measures at 750 * 1850 mm.

Broke the lattice hammering it in. Use a longer board to place against the lattice to prevent that. The weight on those 2x4’s may cause them to bow. I’d use 4x4’s for the posts.

mm - it would be a bit large if it was inches! You would make it as high as you need it - 1830 mm would be about 6ft
