  • These two wisteria bushes have been here since we bought the house and they just kinda grow wherever they want. Well, I figured it was time to fix that with an awesome Redwood arbor for them to grow up! I am sure you could find a spot for one of these in your yard as well!

It turned out great. Hope you post a brief video, as the summer wears on, showing the plants as they grow over it.

That’s a beautiful arbor ! Please build the miter station; you need it and we need more videos from you.

Looks awesome, nice and simple design. I'm one who likes to build on the fly, rather than design, then build, I know there's typically more waste that way, but whilst I'm no designer, I still have a plan in my head of what I want it to look like, and the size area it's got to fit.

Great video really like this trellis arch style thingy gonna attempt this got a place that would be perfect for this. Am with u there is never enough space anywhere. I do what u do don't need it goes on floor. Or normally am tripping over bins or cords. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I’m impressed. You used WAY fewer curse words than when I have to deal with furniture dollies in my shop. So frustrating.

Just a suggestion, instead of measuring every time to get your six inch spacing you could cut a couple of scraps to six inches and use those so you have less chance of making a measurement mistake. I would also like to see you make a miter station so you can use a stop block to make your repetitive cuts. But in the meantime you can screw a sacrificial fence to your miter saw fence and attach a stop block to that with a clamp to make long repetitive cuts.

About halfway through I was thinking I should make some spacers then though... nah lol. I do plan to add those things to my miter station when I make it. I appreciate you watching and the good ideas!

Do you have a more detailed blue print. Meaning how many pieces of wood, sizes, etc. I want my husband to build this for me but would need more of a guide on the steps of it. I printed the info you linked below but want to make sure that everything is there for the materials and a would like a step by step guide so we don’t have to keep referring to the video

I want to build one as well but I want to make it a little more longer so I can hang a hammock in the middle

Love the arbor. The only problem I see may be the wisteria.
We had a Arbor with wisteria on it.
When the vines got thick the cthey crushed the arbor. I would be interested to see how the arbor looks now.
    Thank you.

Spray all your parts prior to assembly even coverage on all sides

How long are the pieces going across the top. I know you found some already cut but what are the lengths?

Looks great, Brandon. Just curious - why didn't you use those T-tracks in your table to clamp the parts down during the initial assembly? It's great to see content from you again. I'm glad you didn't cut parallel miters on the top rails (lol). How many cans of spray did you use? A miter station video would be interesting. Everyone does them differently. Take care.

Hey Bill! Welcome back haha. I had to take a bit of a break but I am back now! The clamps for the t tracks wont go that high to hold down the 2x4's unfortunately. I honestly find myself not utilizing my table as much as I should. I used 2 cans of spray per coat. I think I will add another with brush on too though just for good measure whenever they get it back in stock. Thanks for the support man! Have a great weekend!
