Ran into them after getting lost and ending up backstage at a show at Castle Farms in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. They were very welcoming, down to earth people. Lost count of the number of times I've seen them and they're always great. Few artists outdo their recordings when live, but the Moodies always did.
You won’t find Justin on anyone’s “Best guitarists of the millennium” list, but I just love his tone and simple, melodic lines. I think if I was given the opportunity to take a guitar lesson from anyone, I’d choose Justin.
One of my alltime favourite bands. Saw them in 73,and Justin in September 22. Still have their/my original vinyl albums from 67, 68, 69, 70,and 71. And mp3 in the car.
The best band EVER!!!💙💙💙💙!!!!! Justin's word's are sheer poetry... I ✍️✍️✍️ write poetry myself. The word's are so special to me,..... He sing's of his life expierence's, as do I, just love him!!!! Keep singing, Justin, I will ALWAY'S be here to listen!!! 💙💙💙.. 🥀🥀🥀🥀.. 2022....
Lol, I'm grateful I don't have to choose. The Moody's went with us, to the mountains , & received more play time than our other faves. Zeppelin, the who, the stones.......By far the go-to group in the hills.......
Nice! First (and only) time I saw them was in the early 1980s at the open-air Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Great stage show with superb lighting/laser effects and a small orchestra (about 15 instruments IIRC). A great band to see outdoors under the stars. These days its too much trouble to get to that part of L.A. to see a show due to the increase in traffic and congestion in the central 'Hollywood' part of L.A. where groups like this normally perform. Still have five of their vinyl albums but I listen to them regularly on CD these days.
My two best concerts, TMBs in Warrenton, VA in August 1997 with Ray Thomas still aboard (and the Prince William County Symphony Orchestra), and again in Memphis, TN on 4 SEP 2009 Live at the (Botanical) Garden as a trio, with 4 sidemen/women. Both times, SO fantastic! They just take you and the rest of the audience to another whole world together for several hours straight, ha.
This is So Superior to solo band. There is NO comparison. The vibes are so much better. There is Synchronicity with John n Grahame to Justin. Hell, he looks 20 yrs younger too. Forget that solo backup crap, stick with yer mates, you are such a jewel, Monseiur J. Mean it.
On the album version- Justin keeps the electric tracks *right. on. the. edge.* of feedback- through the entire track. Masterful. He "plays/rides" the feedback! Great tune!
Get those heads out of the way in the beginning....My two real good friends died from cancer. First in 2017 and then this past August. When i see Sylvia and Bob again one day, I will say "Lovely To You Again, My Friends".
I have a list of good songs for pre game warmup shoot around for girls' HS basketball / volleyball, and this is one of them that would work for that. Trying to get up enough nerve to submit the list to a few more local teams than the one I have initially done. Wish me luck.

A bit overly paranoid aren't you? Being that paranoid allows the violent types to win since they are already living rent free in your head and controlling your life.
He has an undershirt on. I'm a sound engineer and tour with bands. Sometimes aging guitar players will wear a nylon and velcro brace for their backs (or even younger ones with bad backs). Especially bass players... those things get heavy after a couple hours. Maybe he's got one of those on.
Without a doubt my favorite Moody Blues song and its always Lovely to See You Again....always!!

Agree 110%. Live concerts were always way better than "studio perfect" recordings. This Always amazed me. 🎉

His riff on “Ride my See Saw” is one of the best in Rock History.
@@TheDatabaseDude Absolutely agree. One of my favorite songs. One of the quintessential songs of the 1960s.

After all the years, Justin is still awesome
One of the best songs the Moodies ever recorded.
I’m now a teenager again. Thank you for uploading this great song and video.
Reminds me of my first husband. We would take long drives and listen to music all night. I miss him. He passed 2007.
Sorry for your lost
Love this legendary band. Got to see them before Ray retired. Justin is underated as a guitarist. He make it look so easy.
Moody Blues' classics are always appreciated when I'm feeling sad.
Yah, like today...
This song has a great upbeat tempo and just puts you in a great mood.
..That's exactly why I am here .. :)
Lovely to see you again..my love and life Sheri ❤️

Fell in love with this song recovering from surgery. Just can’t sit still when I hear it!
Have been in love with, John Lodge, since 1968......when i was 13.....
Why do I stop doing everything when I hear this song and just listen? It's that good!
The greatest rock band ever

Saw this in Las Vegas and it brought so many memories I cried real tears.
It's always good to see them!!😍😍🤩🤩
I saw Justin Hayward solo in August and he is amazing...and still beautiful.
Sarah o wish he was touring Asia!!
& happy you got to be there !!!
He is like fine red wine. He only gets better and more sexy with age.
Karen Louise Ward Oh I agree!

Brilliant song. Fantastic singer. 👏🍀
Always a Moody!!!♡
Moodies at their best
The Moodies are still great. Too bad Mike Pinder is no longer with them. And Ray Thomas was fantastic!
Timeless magic.
I love this song! The studio version kills!
Excellent "Live" video and sound....Thanks!
Great song. Can you imagine a song like this coming out today?
uncle skeeter cannot
In this 'Politically Correct' nightmare we're living in? Ya gotta be kidding. Music like this is 10 levels up from what passes for 'real music' today.
Popped into my head. Had to hear it. I like the beat. Catchy tune
Excellent!
Every time I hear the Moody Blues I think of my parents ❤️
This is So Superior to solo band.

Why is Lodge wearing a bulletproof vest?
He isn't it is a button down black shirt.
He isn't wearing any kind of vest. It is a black shirt that he is wearing with the top few buttons unbuttoned.
Bulletproof vest or not, I'd certainly wear one. Never know who's in that crowd...
A bit overly paranoid aren't you? Being that paranoid allows the violent types to win since they are already living rent free in your head and controlling your life.

Part of the great British rock invasion.

Charles Manson's favorite band. No, not the Beach Boys!
✌🙂❤🇺🇲🌴
I hate when people sit at a concert..... fucking snoozes
Jesus k
Certainly not the same band from years ago, major difference obviously its been 40 some years
Sounds tired and lacks enthusiasm of 70s live concerts. Shame, the poetry is so beautiful.
Disagree completely...except for the poetry being beautiful. But will agree that they are not Van Halen or Slipknot.
Lacking something.. .
conviction, They're much more up for it in their solo touring bands.
Brilliant song played by a brilliant band
mike and ray...the heart and soul of the moodies!
♥️
