The Moodies were the most influential musicians of my teenage years. Their songs touched me profoundly, and while some of my friends felt they were boring musicians, I believed the Moodies were almost preaching with their lyrics. To me each song had a profound message that literally touched my soul, and to me that produced what I felt was a real spiritual high. Starting with Days of Future Passed, each succeeding album was eagerly anticipated and every single one released did not disappoint. Still to this day I get a tingle in my chest when I play some of my favorite Moodie ballads. I know that there are many of you out there who feel the same way about our beloved Moody Blues.
I'm 5 years younger than you, but as a 14 year old I always heard their music as I started hanging out with other people in high school. I totally understand what you are saying, I know people who LOVE THEM, and dislike them. LOVE Have you Heard. Peace
Yes same for myself and millions of others ....The Moody Blues had a sound of their own and they knew how to brand their music very well indeed at the time .
The very first album I bought was In The Search For The Lost Chord and I played it night and day eventually wearing it out. Yes, I bought another one. Fast forward, I finally found my way to their concert in Saratoga, NY. Some days later the local radio was interviewing John Lodge and invited fans to call and ask to speak top him. Out of hundreds of callers, I was one of chosen! My turn came up and couldn't think of what to say. So, the first thing I could say with any intelligence, and I know a lot of you might have said this, too, "I really like all your music!". John was nice about and said, "Thank you. We get that a lot" The DJ's were merciless laughing in the back ground. All this leads to our conversation. I had read the Moodies would thank them for opening theirs eyes and minds to the outside world. "Mr. Lodge, we all have questions and seek understanding. With your music and the messages in the lyrics, we woke up. Thank you.
After surviving a brutal father - I found the Moody Blues at about 20 years old- they were my drug! Didn’t drink or smoke weed they took away so much of my pain and gave me hope for the future. The sacred seven albums were all I needed, Days of Future Passed and To Our Children’s Children’s Children my favorites.

Well, I am only 42. I was born in 82. I always come back to songs like this, as they have been with me and mean something. I first heard the distant chants of this as a young boy in single figures. As time went on I researched and collated those sounds that were important to me. This was one of those standouts. Justin Hayward :)
Hello how many of you started listening to the moody blues back in the 70s it was enlightening trippy I would smoke a joint and just chill out they still rock in my thoughts love there albums all of them I thank you for the great tunes
Amazing to read the comments and realize how many people my age, are still following this excellent, gifted group of musicians. What a gift they continue to be. They sooth my heart and mind. Thank you Moodies!!
If you still get goosebumps over a bands music after all these years, you know how great they are. I'm 63 now and The Moody Blues are just that.....INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!
I'm 74 and thankful that I was alive at a time in history that The Moody Blues music could have had such a great and transcendent influence in my life! Long live their music...
this bands music is the best thing for my mental stability, I just love listening and laying back and letting the music take my mind where it needs to go
Also 70 yo. Moody Blues concert here in town was reviewed in a local newspaper as "signing their Psalms to the head and the heart"...which is an amazing way to describe that positive energy
I just LOVE these guys!!! I listened to them from day one during my teenage and turn on years. I’m now 70 and still enjoy them! Innovative with their synthesizers. So cool!
Listening to the Moody Blues got me through two Army deployments back in thev70s. Now I am in my 70s and this music still provides inspiration and healing that works me and you
Think of otherworldly, Merlin & Camelot, fantasy truth and a a huge AWAKENING IN SPIRIT flying through the UNIVERSE & beyond....other portals So grateful beyond words to still be REAWAKENED IN 2023.....who else is here???? Thank you so much for this beautiful music and this wonderful group
The Moody Blues made music that glides between space and time, lifting us into the pastures of the sun and putting our souls to flight. I am deeply grateful to be born in the 1950s at a time when magic and mystery enriched our minds and music rocked us like a mother 💐
A fantastic song from a fantastic group I’ve been a yes fan since 1972 but always loved the music of moody blues and im discovering more and more of them Justin Hayward what a voice and still has it
Was this group that far ahead of its time ?!!..... I was in the US Marine Corps 71-74.... I listened to the Moody Blues EVERYDAY.... their lyrics, sound and harmony carried me through that time....and has NEVER left me....there will never be another band like them
I can hardly put to words how much their music has influenced me. They are gifts from God, brought about and put together that we should hear the beauty of Gods love in music. I have gone to see them five times and have been blessed every one of them. I feel like the music in "Have you heard" was being played when God was forming the world and man.
YES, their music is timeless and has staying power for many generations of people to enjoy their good spiritual contemporary music and lyrics and my life is enjoying every moment of their musical classics. Thank You Moody Blues. I look forward to Tuesday Afternoon.
RIP to Mike Pinder...The last original & co-founder of this incredible group of musicians. Saying ‘band’ seems hollow regarding the Moody Blues. I got turned on to them at 12, b/c my college sis had their music. And all the greats of that time. I was done!👍 Lost count how many times I saw them over the decades since 15. I liked your comment. Would never thought of it that way. This channel puts it mostly new age, which is no surprise. But I don’t think I will hear this again, w/o thinking of God’s mighty hand forming all Creation.🙌 I look so fwd to what’s waiting for those who love Him, for all eternity. We can’t even imagine! With this now sour world as it is, I’m ready to move on as soon as He calls!👍 I’m so hoping Mike found his way to Jesus, too. And the rest of them, who’ve gone before us.✝ I’m going to focus more on getting the Best News Ever out, to all w/an ear to hear.♥✝🙌 Time’s not on anyone’s side at this point. And ppl need to know that what awaits is beyond their wildest dreams! (no pun intended) _If_ they choose Him. Seems you have, too. :). Don’t be shy in sharing. 😁
Used to spent a whole nights listening to the Moody Blues tripping on acid, their music just took me away. To this day their music fills my heart and soul.
During the Seventies and Eighties I did acid about a dozen times. I REQUIRED them after the first few. Music sets the trip and with MB I always knew that it would be a good one.
Mike pinder is amazing! He sometimes gets forgotten when moodies are extolled, I do love other moodies but Mike was as important, in some ways more? Because of their signature mellotron sound!! Thanks Mike for your precious contribution!
@@jonathanbernal2179 Not too much an ELP fan. (but I liked 'Lucky Man') and as for YES I like "I've Seen All Good People". But the Moodies, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and Led Zep were the "entire- album-front-and-back" supergroup bands that I loved! Back in the day, my husb. and I had some 4' Klipsch Corner Horns that would blow your hair straight back! And when I first heard Frankenstein through quads....it was sublime!
The Moody Blues is/was the most progressive rock band I've ever listened to over the years. In 1967 I was skeptical, but by 1968 I was a true believer.... and I still am. Their music made you think, and think hard... and it still does today. Their music is endlessly poignant. The one thing I wanted most in my life was to hear them live. Unfortunately that will more than likely never happen.
A brilliant and beautiful composition. This music transcends generations and is timeless. Mike Pinder was a great composer. His other songs like Simple Game and Lost in a Lost World are also profound.
This was when the Moodies were at their peak. To our children's , children's, children album then Threshold of a Dream. Insanely hypnotic. These guys must be from another planet.
I brought my 12 year old musically inclined son to a Moody Blues concert and he was completely blown away!! He is 45 now!! Lol!! Once a fan always a fan!!
One of the finest pieces of music ever written. It gets into your soul and is always there, gently, in the background of your mind, whispering, "have you heard...?"
This group best of my life, I was young and now I"am old even means more to me in the NOW a big part of my reality . Thank God for the Moody Blues, A brilliant light in the darker parts of my journey . The beat goes on forever!
My favorite album early on and for all time is The Children's album. It ties my then girlfriend, now wife to happy times in college with friends doing a rather rare thing for its time, spelunking or, caving. Hard to explain, easy to feel. No doubt, apart from the sheer consistent genius and deeply textured indelible sound, it WAS chick make out music.
This group has always been so much more to me than just the music ! They have touched my soul and keep teaching me important lessons . They were overwhelmed by the phominom years ago and published Were just a singer in a rock and roll band but the magic lives on . There music instantly transports me back to 1970 when I was just 18 and ready to take on the world and now at 66 I still am ! and don't ever forget who I am or what I stand for . And when I am troubled and lack direction a couple of moody's tunes and I'm wound back up for another go at changing the world ! :) I hope others share this magic too !
i've been a moody blues fan since "go now" but only recently have rediscovered the group and how deep and true their lyrics are. their music ( yes rappers and millennials, THIS IS MUSIC - instruments and all-:) was, i think, in an era where spirituality barely was mentioned, if at all fro my recalling. i say spiritual because this is how i feel about their lyrics. and this must be true because when i mention how deep/spiritual their songs are, my wife just gives me a "uh-huh" and goes back to sleep-:)
"The world's smallest symphony orchestra". No session musicians or pre-programmed gubbins here. Just 5 men - musical geniuses - and their own instruments - mellotron, piano, flutes, guitars, bass guitar, drums. They used to perform this whole suite live on stage, too!
Now that I have an M0000d I began listening to the Moody's again. I am so moved by the works, Creativity, and imagination of Mike Pinder. I see the cello, English horn, mkII violins in the songs.
I was blessed enough to experience that!💜 Saw them live many times over decades. RIP Mike Pinder.💔 The soul of the group w/his incredible Mellotron...& voice that went right w/it.
Mike Pinder, RIP. Justin was the heart, John was the beat, Ray was melodeon, Graeme was the poet, and Mike was the soul. I hope to come back in my next life as a mellotron.
❤the Moody Blues helped me through some hard times, I'm 72 years old and I still listen to them . When I get sad loss of a love one ,stressed etc,if people would just listen to the lyrics, it helps
This is the only religion I’ll ever need in my life!! Thoughtful, meaningful, peaceful, enjoyable, positive, timeless……………………. Been listening since 1969
If I have to ask a band to compose and perform the soundtrack of my life it’ll be the Moody Blues. R.I.P. Ray, Graeme & Mike. Hold on Justin and John! You guys were and still is the best band ever!!!
@@stackystackpole8826 Now it’s RIP Mike...😔 I truly do hope they are. ♥✝🌅 Incredible group of musicians, that gave us the _best_ progressive rock sound _ever._ Album after extraordinary album.💜 In an era of overall, the best rock music of a generation...or 2. ;) Great times. Wonderful memories. 👍
This a group that told stories in their music unlike others , in my opinion the best of the era and still unsurpassed , seen them twice in the UK and enjoyed them absolutely brilliant.
This song brings me back to being a kid. My dad, my sister and I would all lay down on the floor in the TV room with the lights down and quietly listen to Lazy Day, Are You Sitting Comfortably and this on vinyl. Its a treasured memory ❤
Justin has said ...... I miss his songs. Pinder was a wizard with that old analog melotron. Nothing like it. I too, miss his songs ... but I will never stop listening to what he was able to give us with his band mates. The Moody Blues are as good as it ever got.
The Moody Blues are perhaps the pinnacle of rock music and more than anyone else realized its potential. Their seven album run in seven years consists of dozens of the most recognizable songs, with melodic hooks rivaling The Beatles and lyrics / themes that went far beyond. No other progressive rock band had this consistent run including Yes and Genesis. And, what other band had five musicians that created this synergy, each a top-form songwriter. The odds another band comes along like this? . . . the universe knows!
Great post. It astounds me that when people mention the best bands of all time very few ever mention The Moody Blues. My mom got me hooked on them when I was a little boy and I have not looked back since. The Beatles doesn't come close to them in terms of writing music.
My Dad worked with Me in my Sunoco Station back in 71. I set up a nice stereo system with an 8 track player(loop), in the work bays. The Moody Blues would play from dawn to dusk, Dad never complained about the music. I took that as a sign from the Great Magnificat. I saw them November 17th 1978, one of those evenings that You never forget. Even as We walked back to my car there was a feeling of oneness that hung in the air like a London fog. There will never be another rock band like the Moody Blues. Much love to fellow Fans. :)
74 years old. The Moodies are my all time favorite band. Ray Thomas wrote the songs that were a telling of my life. Lucky to have seen them live 4 times.Their music is positively genius and way ahead of its time. RIP Ray, Mike, and Graeme
I'm 75 and have followed the Moody Blues since I first bought Knights in White Satin. I had all the albums on vinyl, now I have them on CD. When they brought out Knights, it was a totally different music, that hasn't changed with time. Seen them twice, once in Southampton and once in the Royal Albert Hall. To me their music was utterly fantastic in the 60's and is still so. I can listen to it for hours.
Sections his sounds so much like sections of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar - a real testament to the quality song writing of The Moody Blues. I'm 66 now, and being able to enjoy this band for the past half century plus just feels great. Thanks for posting, as I make yet another visit.
True, and the MB's were a big part of that. I like to think those guys were all old souls. Perhaps many decades from now people will see that they were key players in the evolutionary charge to a higher state of consciousness. Things look quite bleak in this world but things will break thru.
I managed to buy a record of this band only in the late 1980s. What a pity that we could not enjoy this beautiful music in childhood and adolescence! Only drops came from behind the iron curtain! I remember in what yearning I lived then. I missed this music. Now I try to catch up.
Better late than never. You and we are so blessed. We are joined in a timeless experience. The music speaks in ways we can never say on our own, so all together the music speaks for us all and forever.
Those of us who first heard their message, and followed, will never forget how to live in the light and know their is something even more wonderful beyond.
Never to be duplicated....amazing....todays music cant come close to this. Its what music is supposed to be. Puts me into a place that nothing else can. Phenomenal.
well said carole...earths goin through sum big changes now...evolve or die/ live in the light or perish in the darkness/ its time to awaken to who we really are..beings of love!
I took my 75-year-old mom to a Moody Blues concert years ago, maybe in 1998? They played with the Louisville Chamber Orchestra. People around us were smoking weed and saying how cool it was that my mom had come. She loved it. When I was little she'd play their album Days of Future Passed while we did our "Saturday deep cleans".
"Each day has its always; a look down life's hallways, doorways to lead you there." Mike has opened the door and passed through. I'm not in any hurry, but I'll look forward to seeing you there. Thanks for all the music, Mike.
So magical, it make's me want to put my ballet slipper's on, and fly and dance!!!! Go to my dancefloor, and whisp around... Love this band!!! The best ever!!! Thank You, Moody Blue's..💙💙💙💙... 🥀🥀🥀🥀... 2022...
Honest to god, this is a wild story. Apparently, I heard (heh) this song a long time ago and the melody around 3:40 That bit had gotten stuck in my head, so for literally 8+ years I was trying to figure out why I was always humming that tune. I kid you not that I eventually walked into my living room and my mother was listening to this exact song, when i heard the melody I recognized it immediately. Best thing ever.
August 2024 and I will never stop listening to the Moodies. I'm 75 now and I feel sorry for today's kids. They don't know what Real music 🎶 is. They listen to crap like bad bunny and machine gun kelly Please
My Brother was listening to them in the Army in the Vietnam Era. When he came home the Moody Blues was all we listened to. Their music would put him at ease and so we were all into it. My time in the Service I bought all the Moody Blues albums and cassettes I could find. Love their music have even seen them in Concert several times and in different cities. They are my all time favorite group👍🏽💯%
Gorgeous, sumptuous, spiritually beautiful song, poem, lyrics, music... what more could you want? Moodies are my forever band. I have loved them for 50 years...here's to another 50 plus eternity!!! xxx
In their modesty and humility, I seriously doubt if Justin & Co. can fully conceive the astounding effect their beautiful music & lyrics HAVE had - and STILL have - on generations of their fellow human beings. After 50 years of wonderful appreciation, all I can say is 'Thank you Moodies for providing the best part of my life's soundtrack'
I concur, thank you is not enough, the Moodys could fill in the blank spots of my days and nights all through this world and beyond! Will always Love this music!
LochSween..... Good comment but i recently saw the Isle of Wight DVD from 1970 and John Lodge said that "That I feel that we helped make a difference in the World." And I think his words ring true....and new people all the time hearing this timeless stuff too.
I do not understand why many commenters say the Moody Blues were under-rated. Simply not true. The Moody Blues have always been highly regarded in the musical industry. If nothing else, the sales of millions of albums is testimony to their success.
Lyricists beyond compare ... this rarely played track brings back memories. I saw the Moodies twice at Adelaide Festival Theatre and they were mind-blowing each time. Boy could they play. No longer given the airtime they deserve, these days I hear a few tracks on local community radio, but they tend to be the same few 'hits' when there is such a rich, neoclassical-electronica repertoire. Truly ahead of their time, more tracks like this should be heard by new generations and rediscovered by the old. I find listening to my original vinyl albums much more satisfying than the (very good) CD compilation I play in the car, as the albums seem to follow a spiritual theme that is lost when tracks from different albums are compiled together. Sheer poetry.
An English school chum played the first 7 albums for me when I was 13. I'm 63 now 50 years later I'm still listening and the music has gotten better with every album put out. This band keeps evolving, it's amazing!!! Thanks to all the Moody Blues Past Present & Future.

Well, I am only 42. I was born in 82. I always come back to songs like this, as they have been with me and mean something. I first heard the distant chants of this as a young boy in single figures. As time went on I researched and collated those sounds that were important to me. This was one of those standouts. Justin Hayward :)
I remember these albums so well. I was just a boy, but my dad had The Moody blues on the turntable constantly
Hello how many of you started listening to the moody blues back in the 70s it was enlightening trippy I would smoke a joint and just chill out they still rock in my thoughts love there albums all of them I thank you for the great tunes
✋🏻me!
My goodness, haven't heard this since the mid 80s when i was in 9th/10th grade. Memories
Most musical rock band ever.
Amazing to read the comments and realize how many people my age, are still following this excellent, gifted group of musicians. What a gift they continue to be. They sooth my heart and mind. Thank you Moodies!!
Just love this group did not get all the accolades that should have. Such great music. I'm now 72 and still listen to them
If you still get goosebumps over a bands music after all these years, you know how great they are. I'm 63 now and The Moody Blues are just that.....INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!
Me too I'm 63 and still they are my favorite band

I'm 74 and thankful that I was alive at a time in history that The Moody Blues music could have had such a great and transcendent influence in my life! Long live their music...
I will be 65 next month and the are always on my mind.
R.I.P. Mike Pinder. Thank You. ❤❤ Listened to Lost Chord today. Found out later that Pinder passed away. I’m 70. Still my favorite group.
this bands music is the best thing for my mental stability, I just love listening and laying back and letting the music take my mind where it needs to go
Also 70 yo. Moody Blues concert here in town was reviewed in a local newspaper as "signing their Psalms to the head and the heart"...which is an amazing way to describe that positive energy
76 here. No one like the Moodie Blues.
I just LOVE these guys!!!
I listened to them from day one during my teenage and turn on years. I’m now 70 and still enjoy them! Innovative with their synthesizers. So cool!
Listening to the Moody Blues got me through two Army deployments back in thev70s. Now I am in my 70s and this music still provides inspiration and healing that works me and you
I understand Brother. Mamasan's O bowl and Moody Blues (In Search Of The Lost Chord) after a day in the fray kept us sane . . .
Think of otherworldly, Merlin & Camelot, fantasy truth and a a huge AWAKENING IN SPIRIT flying through the UNIVERSE & beyond....other portals
So grateful beyond words to still be REAWAKENED IN 2023.....who else is here????
Thank you so much for this beautiful music and this wonderful group
I've been listening to them since I was 11, 52 now and that's exactly how I feel!
@@Cheriewest713 Cherie you are another " magical being"💥💥💥..we will never have music like this in our lifetime again!

i've been listening to the MB's FOREVER and am totally in awe of the awesome vibes they been putting out for over 50 years
Perhaps the best 10 minutes ever recorded.
The Moody Blues made music that glides between space and time, lifting us into the pastures of the sun and putting our souls to flight. I am deeply grateful to be born in the 1950s at a time when magic and mystery enriched our minds and music rocked us like a mother 💐
Well said
Born in the 50's, best lifetime ever on this planet. So sad to see things dwindle out of control in America!
Still amazing song that touches my spirit.
I’m glad that I am not the only one who loves this music! 🙂

Was this group that far ahead of its time ?!!..... I was in the US Marine Corps 71-74.... I listened to the Moody Blues EVERYDAY.... their lyrics, sound and harmony carried me through that time....and has NEVER left me....there will never be another band like them
I really agree with you. USN 70-74 for me. The Moody Blues are the best.
Semper Fi Mac,new river 73-75 where were you.
Nothing better than the Moody Blues on headphones. They carried me through 4 years in the US Air Force….69 thru 73.
When I was in Nam, we didn't have much music, Moodies all the time.
Bless you X
I was a little older than most of you 79 now,but since I was at the start of 50’s music they are the best of the best.
One of the best Agents of SHIELD moments for sure
Facts! Just got done watching that episode and that scene showing the Framework was perfect with this song.

I share the same thoughts because of their music.
But I don’t think I will hear this again, w/o thinking of God’s mighty hand forming all Creation.🙌
I look so fwd to what’s waiting for those who love Him, for all eternity. We can’t even imagine!
With this now sour world as it is, I’m ready to move on as soon as He calls!👍
I’m so hoping Mike found his way to Jesus, too. And the rest of them, who’ve gone before us.✝
I’m going to focus more on getting the Best News Ever out, to all w/an ear to hear.♥✝🙌
Time’s not on anyone’s side at this point. And ppl need to know that what awaits is beyond their wildest dreams!
(no pun intended) _If_ they choose Him.
Seems you have, too. :). Don’t be shy in sharing. 😁
50 years ago I first heard the Moody Blues. Been listening ever since. Here's to the next 50😊
Bottle of Zambrusco, good weed, and a woman you are totally infatuated with. Great times! The woman is long gone but the memories and music live on!
I did the same but MINUS the acid!! Didn't really need it with the Moodies! 🤣
RIP Mike Pinder. Your Mellotron gifts led us down wonderful paths of joy. Your music will live on forever.
Mike pinder is amazing! He sometimes gets forgotten when moodies are extolled, I do love other moodies but Mike was as important, in some ways more? Because of their signature mellotron sound!! Thanks Mike for your precious contribution!
It broke my heart when Mike left.
Yes! Like Edgar Winter and the Moog synthesizer....he was the first artist I heard incorporate it into his music (Frankenstein 🙂)
@@paulalowery7411 don't tell me you missed ELP, YES, King Crimson, etc.?
@@jonathanbernal2179 Not too much an ELP fan. (but I liked 'Lucky Man') and as for YES I like "I've Seen All Good People". But the Moodies, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and Led Zep were the "entire- album-front-and-back" supergroup bands that I loved! Back in the day, my husb. and I had some 4' Klipsch Corner Horns that would blow your hair straight back! And when I first heard Frankenstein through quads....it was sublime!
One of the best albums...
Just don't understand the dislikes how can anyone not like The Moody blues they're awesome!!💯💯💯💯💯
There are those who don't have the ability to appreciate the fine arts in the music industry. It simply goes over their head.😎

This was when the Moodies were at their peak. To our children's , children's, children album then Threshold of a Dream. Insanely hypnotic. These guys must be from another planet.
I turn 70 in 4 days and agree w/you. Many times I listen to the Blues and cry for the feelings this band has given me
I am nearly 70 I found them as a teenager, they are as brilliant now as they were then, mesmerising ❤❤
I brought my 12 year old musically inclined son to a Moody Blues concert and he was completely blown away!! He is 45 now!! Lol!! Once a fan always a fan!!
I listened to this when it came out...bought every moody blues albums since....
One of the finest pieces of music ever written. It gets into your soul and is always there, gently, in the background of your mind, whispering, "have you heard...?"
Kept me from losing it all. I saw hell, these tunes brought me back to peace......thank you so.

This group best of my life, I was young and now I"am old even means more to me in the NOW a big part of my reality . Thank God for the Moody Blues, A brilliant light in the darker parts of my journey . The beat goes on forever!
50 yrs later and they r still a WOW.
As a 65 year old I can only support your comment, I keep looking for the birds in the sky
"The world's smallest symphony orchestra". No session musicians or pre-programmed gubbins here. Just 5 men - musical geniuses - and their own instruments - mellotron, piano, flutes, guitars, bass guitar, drums. They used to perform this whole suite live on stage, too!
You're right. They also played saxophone and harmonica, Ray; cytars (sp), cellos, John and Justin.
that's a great way to put it, The worlds smallest symphony orchestra I like it
Now that I have an M0000d I began listening to the Moody's again. I am so moved by the works, Creativity, and imagination of Mike Pinder. I see the cello, English horn, mkII violins in the songs.
Sad that Mike Pinder is no longer in the band. He gave as much as the rest of the band members.
I was blessed enough to experience that!💜
Saw them live many times over decades.
RIP Mike Pinder.💔
The soul of the group w/his incredible Mellotron...& voice that went right w/it.
This song alone should

Unique band with unique messages. Nothing like them before or after. They are forever part of me.
Fans have since called those Albums "The Classic 7" and for a Good Reason,THEY ARE!
Kurt Benit - thank goodness the universe nurtures us (all)
Yet, they are STILL NOT in the R&R HALL OF FAME which is a travesty
Nights, not Knights. Please get it right. Another common mistake people make is Past instead of Passed in Days of Future...
Criminally underrated masterpiece
Proof that this era was an evolutionary turning point.
True, and the MB's were a big part of that. I like to think those guys were all old souls. Perhaps many decades from now people will see that they were key players in the evolutionary charge to a higher state of consciousness. Things look quite bleak in this world but things will break thru.
Mike Pinder left this for all to enjoy forever.
Moodies playing, lights out, headphones on, nothing else needed. Total relaxation. 😊😊👌👌
I managed to buy a record of this band only in the late 1980s. What a pity that we could not enjoy this beautiful music in childhood and adolescence! Only drops came from behind the iron curtain! I remember in what yearning I lived then. I missed this music. Now I try to catch up.
I'm soo sorry this was kept from you in your youth....glad you are finally able to hear this incredible band

Honest to god, this is a wild story.
Apparently, I heard (heh) this song a long time ago and the melody around 3:40
That bit had gotten stuck in my head, so for literally 8+ years I was trying to figure out
why I was always humming that tune.
I kid you not that I eventually walked into my living room and my mother was listening to this exact song,
when i heard the melody I recognized it immediately.
Best thing ever.

The music is so soothing and so heart warming. I can listen to Justin and the Moody Blues ALL DAY
In their modesty and humility, I seriously doubt if Justin & Co. can fully conceive the astounding effect their beautiful music & lyrics HAVE had - and STILL have - on generations of their fellow human beings.
I think they mean critics and the average heavy rock fan.
@@ColtraneTaylor Perhaps.
