Truly an amazing how this band came into fruition. How it started in 1973. It was really a journey for The Journey. From each one of them, a strong brotherhood started to grow more cohesive, bringing the whole group to reach the pinacle of success, led by its vocalist Steve Perry, became so popular all over the States and it's becoming known worldwide. The Journey had been hailed as one of the most popular bands in the U.S. Then, hiatus happened when Steve Perry left the group.

You know (for the non-Filipinos out here) whenever Arnel comes home to the Philippines and makes these appearances on television shows you can really tell that he hasn't changed a bit. He is very polite and humble and he's not drunk with fame. When he has to share the stage with other singers, he never tries to outshine anyone. He is a gentleman and very professional. He is well loved because of that.

Absolutely true! Arnel is the most humble person despite his popularity not only in the Philippines but as well as in other countries they already had their concerts. Arnel is a humble soul, never outshined anyone he’s done duet with and always give support tonthe new aspiring singers. He deserves the fame, fortune and success in life. Til the time he can no longer hit those high notes, he will still remain as one of the best Filipino singers of all time!
No one could ever replace Steve Perry's place but Arnel is such a down to earth and likeable person. Props to him!

JOURNEY is very lucky to find Arnel Pineda to carry their songs til to the new generation..... How I wish CARPENTERS, ABBA and AIR SUPPLY has found their lucky charm to conitinue their Legacy so their beautiful songs and Band won't be forgotten and just become a history only for young generation

Stop comparing the two singers, both Steve and Arnel gave soul to the songs that's why they are both loved by so many. As Arnel have said during the film and I quote; He would not be at this state if there was no Steve Perry that inspired him. Arnel Pineda was not a replacement for Steve Perry, he is simply the continuation of the Legacy that Journey had created over the past decades.

It's god's will that a former homeless will lead and continue the legacy of a great legendary American band 'Journey.' This may be the almighty's way of teaching us all about humility.
First of all I just wanna say Thank Daddy God for bringing Arnel to us, his not only an amazing man but, talented, humble, gifted, incredable and also an inspiration to many and im one of that many:-).

What happened to arnel is similar with lea salonga, world class singer and theather actress and eventually a disney princess. Producers of miss saigon has been conducting auditions for the role of kim in america n europe but didn't find one fitted for the role, until they went to manila and the rest is history. Lucky for Journey they didn't spent much to look for arnel in the Utube. Both lea and arnel are world class Filipino enterteiners and i love and proud of them. There are a lot of talented Filipino singers just waiting to be discovered.
This is story is very unreal for most aspiring singers not to mention that I myself am a Filipino. To be one of Journey's band member, a legendary band of all time. Very inspiring documentary. Cant stop watching it all over again. Go Arnel make Philippines proud! God bless you and your team.

This pandemic gives arnels voice a big break, the last concert he did was in Las Vegas Dec.2019, I noticed that arnels voice is over used, but I'm happy that the Las Vegas audience understand his shortcoming as a singer, hope to see you again in concert after pandemic Goodluck may you have many more concert with journey, We love that and looking forward ....

I am a filipino and I love what Arnel Pineda has accomplished from rags to riches. Had it not for Neal Schon searching for a vocalist that sounds like Steve Perry and found Arnel Pineda, Journey would have died forever. To all westerners, just give a little RESPECT to Arnel because he deserve it. Steve Perry is great but he left the band that made the group suffers the most for 10 years. It's not Arnel Pineda pushing himself to be part of Journey but it's Neal Schon and Journey who is running after for his service. Arnel you're AMAZING just take good care of your voice. Just ignore the racists because they can't do for Journey what you have done to AMAZE people. I'm so proud to be a filipino. God Bless Arnel Pineda the pride of the Philippines.
