    Taller tripods will have a wider base and more stable, game changer for taller hedge work on uneven ground

    I have a 8 foot headman ladder and find it extremely stable and feel very safe on it. I wouldn’t have the rubber feet when on soft ground as the claws provide more stability too. Great video.

    You can just buy a new tank, an easy swap over.
    The 3 legs are alot more secure on the bigger one. I use the 10foot hendon ladders. The bottom 2 legs are spread very wide apart, very secure, also all 3 legs are adjustable so its always stable and flat on uneven ground.

      The only thing I like about my little giant ladders is they start small and full extented to 14 ft and can open up like a massive ladder really good allrounders but so many people rate the tripods I just wanted to try and see if I was missing something

      Yeah I’d go for the 10ft if I were you, just gives you that extra height when needed. I use it on lower hedges no problem. Also you have about 2ft extra height in the legs.

    Hi Pete, yes you can get a new tank on the kombi any stihl dealer can get you the parts drawing and order the parts for you. I wish I had the space for tripod ladders. Using a trailer at the moment so have combi ladders which I do OK with. It's always about adapting to what we have. Great video as always mate.

    • @swatsnatch
      @swatsnatch 11 місяців тому +1

      You'll love the stihl battery combi. Everyone that bought them from my last employer loved them, it was only the price that put people off them. I use the makita 18v x2 combi and the hedgecutter is a beast. Customers love the lack off noise nearly as much as I love not wearing eardefenders. I run an inverter in my glove box, just have to remember to run the engine for 15 mins if charging more than 2 sets of batteries without driving. I always carry a spare starter battery or the boost pack just in case. It's a learning curve just how much you can get out of the limited power you have.

    Henchmen are incredibly good especially on uneven ground, you need to try a bigger one and I wouldn’t use the rubber feet on soil or on grass as the feet claws add to the stability.
