  • In this video, I'll be reviewing the Henchman 3 Leg Adjustable Tripod Ladder. I've owned these ladders for some time now and they are the best ladders I've ever used. They're incredibly sturdy and safe, and they make it easy to reach high places. I highly recommend these ladders to anyone who needs a reliable and safe ladder.

I have the 6ft non platform Hendons, as you say a game changer. I can safely stand on the second to the top rung however they don't recommend it. I do need a bigger pair for some hedges 10ft limit for me I think 🤔. 👍

Hiya, great review! I've just bought the 8ft one but like you with the 6ft one doesnt really fit in the my vivaro which I thought it would going by dimensions! I might have to get a roof rack but worried it won't fit like your 6ft one, I expect it will if I have 3 roof bars, which type of roof rack have you got?

The shape is annoying to fit anywhere. We use rhinos bars with the rhino ladder clamp for speed, and it works well. You will probably need the 3 roof bar set up to make sure you can attach it.

@MrGardener18 I bought two but might have to get another bar, hopefully they will fit on the vanguard bars

So if you had a third roof bar on your van roof (in the middle) the six foot tripod ladder could stow/fit better ??
Anyway excellent review and lots of good tips. Thanks

      Yes that should work.

@@MrGardener18 yes it is finicky attaching this 6ft henchman to my Peugeot partner van. It only just fits across the length of theroof bars , the middle bar helps a bit. I may eventually get the 8footer if I ever cut taller hedges but I don’t like heights so may not.

Could I ask a hedging question totally unconnected to this review ? I have just watched an older video when you were cutting two curved hedges either side a driveway, my privet hedges have over the years become very wide but i can see that cutting them back hard will leave me with a brown hedge, is privet and holly capable of recovering so that i will get back to having a slender green hedge in the future. thanks

both privet and holly respond very well to a hard prune. I would recommend pruning them hard when there dormant so no later than February and they should recover quickly.

Hey I'm in Australia and want to get the 12ft but if I want to do the top of a hedge that's smaller dose the extra bit at the top get in the way?
