Alaska trip were not videos, they are documentaries, thank you very much for so much beauty and beautiful experience, excellent filming and editing work. Thank you very much again. Robert and Illy.👏👏👏👌
Great video Robert! This has brought back memories of my drive from Maryland to Alaska in May 1980, during the Mt. St. Helen’s volcanic eruption. Yes, the Alaska Hwy was entirely packed gravel and mud. Folks lived on isolated sections and their work was to operate water trucks to spray keeping the dust controlled and a grader to make constant repairs of the road. I recall the only significant paved portion was 11 miles into and out of Whitehorse. We nearly got stuck in mud at times driving a VW Rabbit. It was practically destroyed going both ways…upon returning to Maryland. The most amusing thing to me to see again as you showed, was Sign Post Forest. At the time I stopped to see that landmark, it had maybe 4 long rows of posted signage. But the landscape… exactly the same as I see your video masterpiece. Again, well done Sir!
You really knocked it out of the national park, with this series, Robert. We so enjoyed it! A great achievement on your part and extrememly well done. Thanks, so much.
I have to live vicariously through you and your wife. Will never be able to travel to Alaska by RV as a single person Thank you for sharing your knowledge, time and beautiful soul🎉❤
Hi Robert. Scott Sween here, Grateful for what you do on a daily. Watch a vid of yours on a daily; your latest, stuff I missed from past or re-watch some I've already seen, don't matter it's all fantastic. Ya know honestly from the bottom of my heart it's your voice Robert (singing or narrating or chatting), aàaà it's all that you do as a whole of course, but those pipes ma man , this richness of your voice really in the purest sense is a comfort I need on a daily; what can I say I'm needy😉
Robert, this is Mark with Horseshoe Casino security. It was great to meet you. I was almost in shock when I saw your face at the security window to check you into the RV park LOL! A very unexpected surprise!
56:11 was epic! Nice job Sir 😊 Note to self, stay away from Atlanta as if that was 4 times it looked like 20MPH would be quick. Welcome back from a beautiful trip. You are truly a lucky Man. Happy 2024🎉 Bill in Utah
Fascinating video driving across the northern part of the country before heading south. We drove from Louisiana through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and back to Oregon last December. I think that all Americans should drive across the country so that they have an understanding of the physical lay of the land of the United States.
Robert, outstanding, absolutely amazing! There aren’t enough adjectives to describe your work. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. You left no stones unturned. Can’t wait for the next adventure. Blessings to you and your wife in 2024.
Loved this video! Alaska was fun, but I also love the changing scenery. Had the terrible flu the past couple days and got through re-watching your older long trip videos. Enjoyed them all over again! Thanks, Robert, for excellent content. 😊May there be many more adventures ahead!
Thank you Rob, no words mate, you have carved a new path, there will only those that can be humble to show direction, and this Man has done that, God bless you our Brother, you are the light for our darkness, go now and be our light
Hi Robert! This video shows your mastery at compressing a day's worth of travelling to about 10 min of video! Absolutely stunning cross-country trip! Coeur D'Alene was a nice surprise when I visited it back in 2011 too! During my second trip into the US I visited Rapid City, Murdo (with an impressive 300 classic car collection museum) and Sioux Falls (most impressive crab and lobster all-you-can-eat buffet) back in 2007. Happy New Year and safe travels!
What a wonderful journey! Thank you soo much for letting us experience it with y’all 😃👍especially for those of us who for various reasons won’t be able to make the trip ourselves. It’s been enlightening, exciting and fun. Can hardly wait for the next adventure. God bless you Robert and Ileana.💜🙌✝️
OMG finally after almost Two years I got connected to apply my comments. And just to say just because of u I decided to move to pursue my daughter career Thank you Robert and love your music show so much energy 😊
I was watching a video about the 50 best places to go in America and I kept thinking, “Robert took me there!” Thanks for all your wonderful videos and you taking us where we can’t go! Blessings to you!
Thinking like a man born and raised in the Caribbean, it is amazing to think that it takes months for all those cities bordering Alaska went from scorching temperatures during summer to below freezing now.
Excellent as always Robert!!!!! I love the vibe, visuals, story, music, and beautiful glimpses of Ily!!❤ stay blessed and I hope to see you on the road!
Greetings from Cape Town South Africa. 🙋♀️ Thank you for the beautiful videos Robert. I thoroughly enjoyed your trip to Alaska and all your other trips for that matter. Safe travels always. 🚙🎵🎶
Thanks for all the videos on this epic journey to Alaska. Bucket list for sure. I 100% concur with the dramatic change of scenery at the Missouri river in Chamberlain. Simply amazing. Loved the callbacks to the Lewis & Clark journey too. Can't wait for the 2024 road trip. Hopefully you will travel to see the eclipse in April!
Hey Robert Had a great time in Florida good weather beat the projected tornado's 😮 On the video at 3:43 you mentioned the sun reflecting off the black hood, what I suggest is get someone who does vinyl wrap and get them to put some flat black wrap on the section that's causing the issue. Thanks
I very much enjoyed taking this whole trip with you. On your way north, I saw you pass through Clayton, New Mexico, where I am currently living. You drove to the Love's here, which is only a block from my house, but you decided to keep going rather than stopping here for gas. And in this video, you took me through my hometown - Spokane, Washington - on your way back to Florida. Thank you for bringing us all along with you!😊
I started watching you I want to say on the Louis Clark, but I saw when you came to California when you traveled west, you have inspired me I bought my RV in October 2023. I’m going to follow your pattern of travel. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I appreciate what you did, and you told your story
We (3 rv’s) all UA-camrs are doing the trip to Alaska next year where we plan on spending the summer before returning to the lower 48. Thanks for some great how to videos. This year we will be in the southwest.
Just got done watching your whole trip to the northern part of Alaska. Really enjoyed the whole trip thank you for everything you've shown us very informational and for someone with a disability there may never be able to do what you did I really appreciate it I'm also Ice Road Trucker fan and the Sea during the summer was really a nice change again thank you a million keep up the great work can't wait to see your Next Big Adventure
What's crazy about this video Robert is I just made this journey from brookings sd to coeur d'alene idaho where we are living now. After watching this video, i noticed we stopped at the same locations as me and my family, and we are going to Alaska this month in January to anchorage!! Crazy! Thank you so much for the videos!
With the glare coming from the hood, I think I would find someone who vinyl wraps vehicles, and have that one area wrapped in a flat black, or possibly body color.
The final episode. And there you are, breaking the tape at the finish line. That was quite a marathon, which means congratulations are due on a winning season. 🎉 Always, and in all ways, the work you do is worth the reward. Loved watching the familiar disappear into the not so familiar… seeing the sights of home, and the unknown scenery that lies far beyond it. Between every sunrise and sunset you have never failed to make the most of relaying excellent information and value per watch hour. Charles Kuralt may have had it right about not seeing a thing by driving the interstates, but those blessed enough to travel know that sometimes there is even more to be found in the experiences along the way. Sending a big thank you full of cheers hugs and high fives for such a wonderful season of incredible adventures as you conquered your dream of taking an RV to Alaska. It was surely one to remember more than any other. Hope you guys get to the beach sooner than later, and that health, safety and pleasant journeys are in your favor during 2024. Travel on!🤍
Thank you Robert & Illy for all your wonderful content from your Alaska adventure. You captured Alaska so perfectly, which made us VERY homesick! We moved out of Alaska in 2020 and it was probably one of the biggest mistakes we ever made. You do need to head to Fairbanks in the winter and experience the Ice Art Championships. It will be worth the cost and the cold. ❤
Great show as usual. My wife and I enjoy your videos very much. I love the in town driving, I like seeing places I’ve never been to. Looking forward to the next one.
If ever you want to see gorgeous sunsets in the west, we get them most every night here in Odessa/Midland area. Our landscape is not much to look at but we have incredible colorful sunsets and sunrises. Also near Ft. Davis, Texas they have fantastic skies at night to see stars. The McDonald Observatory is down there. They have star parties each Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Sometimes you feel like the milky way is going to fall on you there’s so many stars. In Marfa, Texas, not far from Ft Davis are the Marfa lights. These lights have appeared for hundreds of years long before the automobile or plane. Can’t be explained. It’s also area where they filmed the movie “Giant” back in the 1950’s with Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean. The hotel they stayed in has the rooms named after the star that had that room. Interesting area.
Wow!! What a trip!!! When you were in Council bluffs, Iowa you were only a few miles from my house I grew up in as a young kid. Brought back memories!!! I hope to travel up to South Dakota someday to see the Mount Rushmore again and see Crazy Horse. The Black hills can be beautiful!!
Thank you for this Season. It feels little bit sad when you drive by all nice places without stopping. But I know there will be more season and more places to see. Once again thank you for an amazing season.
What a great Alaska series . Thank you so much for your attention to detail . Its so helpful as we are going back to Alaska for the summer this June ( last there in 2018). Look foreword to your next adventure .
That was a great finish video from this series of travel. Thanke You for Your Videos, so we can see the beauty of the USA with You at home. All the best and See You
We have enjoyed your adventure so much. Thank you taking us along. This has encouraged us to plan our Alaskan adventure for the summer of 2024. Looking forward to your next adventure. Travel safe and hope to see you on the road,
We had just missed each other by a week along i-90! Then on my way back, we were in the same state, different sides, on Aug 19th I will run into you one of these days, Robert!
Ah, homeward bound! After being on the road for so long, I imagine you had the opposite of "the itch to hitch", eh? Coeur D'Alene is a nice area--I've been out on the lake several times on my friend's pontoon boat. There's a fantastic decor/antique shop downtown worth visiting called Ciscos so full of western ephemera it's like a museum. Love the smoky sunset colors and the sound of crickets at your campground in South Dakota. By the way, your stop at the Missouri River is almost exactly on the 100th meridian, considered the dividing line between east and west. Thanks for taking us along with you on the Alaskan Adventure, it's been a great ride. Happy trails!
Just finished binge watching the Alaska trip Captain Pelicanhead and that was the best series, hands down no question. I am readying my own road trip for 2028 (I want to make it to LA for the Olympics and then the 2031 road trip will be around my own home nation and to make it to Brisbane for the 2032 Olympics), and I had planned to start the trip by getting a repositioning cruise from Sydney to Seattle and then a Seattle to Alaska cruise and just see the Kenai Peninsula and Anchorage via an excursion, but your videos almost had me switching to the drive. Fairbanks looks like a nice spot so while I am in British Columbia I might extend to Fairbanks and add three days to the trip. I hope you and Illy enjoyed the trip and had a few weeks down time, although that growth at Pelicamp looked wild. Wishing you and all those close to you best for 2024 and look forward to your future travels.
I am sure you were glad to be home after that drive across America. Oh Atlanta at rush hour!! I grew up in North Georgia and lived in Atlanta for a while back before traffic was the nightmare it is now! I now live in North Alabama, near Huntsville. Come back and see us again Robert.
Another great episode. We drove west from Minnesota on I-94, then I-90 @ Billings to the PNW. As you say the change in terrain is amazing, We drove through Coeur D'Alene on August 20, 6 days after you were there. Stayed at a small town in eastern Washington on The Palouse that night. Have made this drive many times and we are looking forward to doing it again.
Robert!!! Thanks for a wonderful series about the Alaskan trip. I've recommended it to several people. I live right down the street from the RV park in Coeur d Alene and have spent a LOT of money at Perfection Tire. What's funny is about the Trails End Brewery---never knew it was there, but am planning on spending money there also. Again, beautiful job on the videos.
Robert & Elli, it was great following you on this epic summer excursion across the country and into Canada and Alaska, wow what a great trip & wonderfull experiences you had along with us, your viewing public, I too dis 4 trips on my Goldwing starting in May, so maybe someday we'll run into each other on the road, glad you're back home safe and planning your next one. Javi G. in Az
Pretty long trip condensed into one episode! I drove one stretch of I-90 in Montana that you showed today. This was back in 1998 which was in the Reasonable and Prudent days. So basically no day time speed limits back then! There are a lot of places along your trip that I hope to see one day soon! I heard Atlanta has bad traffic but you confirmed it for me. One stretch you showed through downtown Atlanta reminds me of the stretch of I-5 where it goes under the downtown convention center in downtown Seattle just before you got off on to I-90. This was a great series and am very much looking forward to seeing what is next!
I enjoyed this video almost as much as any video in the Alaska series. I agree about Buc’ees, especially the one in Calhoun. The good thing about Calhoun is that it prepares you for the parking lot that is I-75 in Atlanta. I’ve been to the rest area in I-24 in Paducah & love the old house that serves as the welcome center but it’s a tough on & off I-24. I stopped at the Loves in Bate City where you stayed. It was nice & new but it’s located at an elevation that is so far below the road that it causes problems getting around in the lot. One thought, could you put something on your website that lists the places you stop & / or stay by state? If I ever drive to Seattle I’d like to visit almost every place that you visited in this video.
What a wonderful series especially for us who will never make this trip! It's nice to see the beauty of Coeur D'Alene, a place I was interested in exploring! So fun to "travel with ya'all"
That was a great adventure. Love the way you make a trip across the continent from Seattle to Miami seem like just a little drive... So much fun... Continued safe travels.
Robert, could I be so cheeky as to ask for a video with the breakdown of expenses and travel times and miles???? Thanks for traveling to destinations most of us could only dream of.
Yes there are many climates here in Washington. It rarely cracks 100 on the west side, here on the dry side it can reach 115 on occasion (summer of 2021 it reached 120F at Hanford). We used to live 4 miles from the Thorp station/antiques store. One of the best stops for lower gas prices, but often a long wait to fill up.
Thank you Robert for the videos. I watched all of your journey to Alaska and it was amazing. Looks like you made it home without anynmajor issues. Looking forward to your next adventure. Hopefully to the West. As I like the West as well.
I definitely would've left like 2am from your family in Acworth to go thru ATL. I mean I hate driving thru there. Its a nightmare. Great Trip Rob. Thank y'all for bringing us along.
Great trip Robert loved seeing it may I suggest with the glare on the bonnet that you put a piece of none glare tape over it ...would stop it I think 😊
2019 Lobster Fest and You Climbing the Natural, Park Mountain! In the Ice! Hey don't tell my mom! Favorites! Love William Oberlander Tulsa Oklahoma! Too many E Bikes!
Thank you. I want to do it again.
WOW! What a great series Robert. Thank you so much for taking us all on this wonderful adventure!
This was a spectacular grand finale to an already spectacular season! Excellent work, good sir!
A Monumental and Legendary Journey! I'm so happy I could join you both on this roadtrip of a lifetime!
You really knocked it out of the national park, with this series, Robert. We so enjoyed it! A great achievement on your part and extrememly well done. Thanks, so much.
you're the best Mr. Robert. "expert, professional traveler and orator.
To Robert and Illy, thank you both for a wonderful expedition to Alaska! Your the Best!💥💢💯

I love me some road trips.
Robert, this is Mark with Horseshoe Casino security. It was great to meet you. I was almost in shock when I saw your face at the security window to check you into the RV park LOL! A very unexpected surprise!
56:11 was epic! Nice job Sir 😊
Note to self, stay away from Atlanta as if that was 4 times it looked like 20MPH would be quick.
Welcome back from a beautiful trip. You are truly a lucky Man.
Happy 2024🎉 Bill in Utah
Traffic in Atlanta is the worst.. and this comes from a lady who lives in the Seattle area

Thank you Robert! That horse in the back of the pick-up truck made my day! LOL.
Thank you for this Season. It feels little bit sad when you drive by all nice places without stopping. But I know there will be more season and more places to see. Once again thank you for an amazing season.
I remember when someone took your picture as you were approaching Miami... I truly enjoyed this ride home..Ty
What a great Alaska series . Thank you so much for your attention to detail . Its so helpful as we are going back to Alaska for the summer this June ( last there in 2018). Look foreword to your next adventure .
Great video! We especially enjoyed the drive through Missouri as that is where we're originally from. ❤ You really do a great job with your editing.
Those landscapes in Montana are incredible! One of my favorite episodes. Thanks Robert 👍🏻
That was a great finish video from this series of travel. Thanke You for Your Videos, so we can see the beauty of the USA with You at home. All the best and See You
Robert, amazing cross country trip , I am also traveled with you the way you presented. it is awesome .God bless you

Hey Robert, I vote for you to get a riding lawnmower for your pelican camp! You need it to tackle that much property.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us! ❤

It's a great adventure in watching different places in the land of milk and honey
Such an incredible adventure Robert!! I enjoyed every moment.
Enjoyed the video and the entire Alaska 2023 series. I always find it interesting when you visit places I've been to with my family.
Glad that you and Illy made it back home safe & sound!! What a great adventure, thank you for sharing it with all of us!! Happy Travels!!!!!
Thank you again for this show so much fun to watch ❤
What a wonderful series especially for us who will never make this trip! It's nice to see the beauty of Coeur D'Alene, a place I was interested in exploring! So fun to "travel with ya'all"
Best Season ever. Thank you ever so much.
That was a great adventure. Love the way you make a trip across the continent from Seattle to Miami seem like just a little drive... So much fun... Continued safe travels.
Epic! Thanks for taking us along! Greets from Germany
what a grand finale tio. outstanding series.
Amazing trip Robert! Thank you!
Amazing journey Robert! Congratulations 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Robert, could I be so cheeky as to ask for a video with the breakdown of expenses and travel times and miles????
Thanks for traveling to destinations most of us could only dream of.
I might make something like that in the future
You were traveling in my territory! I saw Kennesaw Mountain Park! I enjoy your travels so much! Thank you.
Thank you for a great adventure and an incredible trip!
Hello Traveling Robert, the trip was Absolutely AWESOME. I'm looking forward to your next road trip. Hopefully it will be up north.
