jefferson airplane - crown of creation... "maybe i should get this" - hell yeah you should! that record has some sick psychedelic funk on it. tons of useful samplable parts. owned it for years....
I'm going there! Wonder if they've got 8-tracks. Aye y'all this is truly a "magician" (pronounced musician) showing you his tricks. No cards up the sleeves and all, just the basic fundamentals in "performing" (pronounced producing) magic. thanx Cut.
Cut Chemist-genius-THIS IS HIP HOP!Forget ya chart toppin imitation gangsters, they aint worth 50cent if u know what I mean? cut chemist aint got no video game on sale mate-
could be hella dust building up under the needle as its playing, check the needle and see if you can pull even the slightest bit of dust out, happens to me sometimes
yeah its hard to find a good store. that last two ive been two had a horrible selection. but its hard to be picky when vinyl is becoming more and more scarce.
Lol it's great to see 'cut chemists friend' turning all the records right in the tray while digging, he doesn't even seems to know he's doing it, like a automatism... Cool thing to see!
humble pie.. wow my dad has humble pie records, orininals, aha i remeber them when i was 5 years old . i dont need no doctor i think was a song i liked?? hah my dad has thousands of records ,, i need 2 sample some of tat shit!! great video. i personally dont own any vinyl..im 2 broke right now.. i need help.. any good record stores in orange county california? i know ameba records in hollywood.. but anywhare closer?? i need some help!
"stupid ass giving away his spots " Yeah, like NOBODY would notice the words "record recycler" in BIG letters on a window of the storefront. Anyone who gave a damn would know what was up there already. Genius. Oh, and to the guy who said Chemist is a tool, please. More skills in one hand than in your whole gene pool.
I think anyone just starting digging would find that a helpful few minutes..and i wish i had a record shop like that near me too...here in Japan ...its either re-cyclye (second hand) shops or usually overpriced record shops. There is a cool chain in Tokyo called Disk Union though... the biggest being in Shinjuku. You can always losea day in there. And...i fail to see how this guy is a tool.
Man, if you don't have a lot of cash just check out your local thrift stores. I to one near my house every once in a while and every record is ten cents. Their selection is horrible though.
maybe its the record and yeah those things are fuckin expensive i was lookin em up cuase i've never had to buy one and i was like damn... i hope i never have to
fist of all 95 u should go check out the movie turntabilism they clearly show that it doesnt matter the price of the danm record u buy just what u find on it
hwy would i spend 2 dollars for somethign with warps and scratches so if i find a good part of a sample and its f'd up ill be mad hes being cautious, real diggers take care of their vinyls aswell....you dont use it and toss it on the floor you keep it nice..but thats my opinion...
I'm pretty sure when he's getting all anal about the condition of the sleeve, the pressing, etc., it's because he's looking to collect the records. He's not JUST digging for breaks.
@conradhartgmx he s making a video for everyone to see worldwide ..................and I dont think the record shop owner will care much having Chemist touching his recordsss!!!!!!!! and he s just showing few tips to buy and checking out conditions......just the routine.....u know??.......... no need to complain so hard dude..... (jejeje)
You obviously don't understand record collecting. Yes if you find something good and cheap its good but its probably not that rare. And he says only says about the sleeve for collecting, which is fair enough. And being a DJ if you know something is a bad press you don't buy it like.
Fuck sake, jus' slap tha shit on a sound burger, if it plays buy tha shit, stop pontificating. You would think you had a copy of Family Of Eve or The Del Larks in ya hand.
Cut Chemist is awesome! He's gonna be at Parklife in Sydney.

Well, some people take pride in what they own; this means not wanting to add a piece of crap to their collection, even if it is only 25cents.
The break at 3:12 is used by DJ Shadow in "Napalm Brain/Scatter Brain"
Plenty in London. I reckon the place needs a few collectables on the wall - looking a bit 'clean'.
