My favorite running accessory didn't even get mentioned: SUNSCREEN!! 😂 Also as I'm not a huge fan of running belts, I found a 240mL hand-held bottle from Nathan. It has a strap to attach it to my hand as well as a zipper pocket for a small snack, card, and keys.
Goodr sunglasses are amazing for running and for £25 {or less) I don't think they can be beaten. Loads of cool styles but it's the comfort, lightness and quality of the lens that do it for me. I have a pair of Sungod Classics too and they're lovely but no better than the Goodr ones at a third of the price (and they're actually not quite as comfortable).
I have been wearing OOFOS for years now. They are all I wear when not wearing running shoes. I wear them around the house as well and never go barefoot. Doing this 100% cured my plantar fascitis. I am super grateful to OOFOS!
Adidas running hat is one of my fav running hats light and comfy. Then also I like the under armour flex fit hat . People saying they don't like.hats it has multipurpose Sunburn because sun in neck? No problem just turn your hat around . Sweat? Hat take it away! Yeah hats is my thing!
Not a summer accessory, but a summer running hack I've used is to tie a buff to the back of my cap so it falls down the back of my neck. A - It keeps the sun off and avoids sunburn my neck and B - I've got it to dunk it in water and wipe over my head.
Some great ideas. I love hot weather when chilling with a cold beer or a G&T but sadly my body struggles when running when the temperatures rise especially if combined with high humidity. Have always struggled with exercise in hot weather. Remember struggling when playing football in my teens in the heat and has got worse as I got older.
Great kit round up Sarah and Anna. Some great ideas and thoughts. I think I will be spending some more money on some nice shinny kit. Yes I am a real magpie!!!
Summer: 26C at break of dawn, 90+% humidity. 4L of water sounds mighty fine for my long weekend runs... Tifosi Sunglasses also has some nice stuff, check them out.
I use Tropics Suncream on my face. I have naturally oily skin and I'm proned to having excema and spots. It doesn't clog my pores or cause my face to be itchy. No whiteness and rubs in well.
Running hat, sunglasses and a wristband. Three things you can't run without, if you're training in Greece (especially in the Athens area), where it's 15+ degrees almost 10 months a year.
So after watching your vid I searched for a running belt. I found one . Osprey duro solo . And they even have free shipping and 10% first order discount yay! You didn't review this particular belt but i think it's worth a mention it has a free 3d water bottle with it . Also it has a handy dandy touch sensitive transparant phone part. And more. Excited to try it out
@@runningchannel will do . I ended up ordering another one as well ... So I'll be getting 2 i suppose.. adidas had an offer I could not refuse.. a running belt with 50% off then another extra 20.... ... First world problems i suppose
i know you said that you weren't paid for product placements, but since dhb is wiggle's own brand i think that blurs the lines somewhat. nice roundup though. for the racebelt, i found that decathlon's one had a plastic pinning mechanism which is nice and secure for holding your race number
What do you recommend for carrying an Epipen. I have recently developed an allergy to wasps and now need to carry an epipen all the time. I have a spi belt but just wondering if anyone has any other ideas?
Thanks for watching David! So the Oofos are made specifically for recovery and are super cushioned, whereas the Hokas are more of a casual sandal. Hope this helps 😊
It sounds super mad but in the hottest sunniest days of summer, I run in a wide brim straw hat. It is lightweight, 100% spf, any breeze blows straight through (better than any running hats I have tried), and the brim protects the face, ears, and neck from the sun. They are also cheap so if it gets destroyed or lost, so what. OK I look a bit strange when out running but that's true whatever I am wearing 😎.
I’m not sure I follow how bringing your own cup reduces p2p contact... I can just imagine everyone queuing trying to fill up their cups and causing chaos 🤷🏼♂️ overall a great vid guys. I like how value for money a lot of the products you feature are 💰
Agreed. It helps keep the courses from litter and saves the event some cash, but it doesn’t do a thing about airborne illnesses. I always bring a soft flask or bottle of my own and am considering saving up for an hydration vest in the future.
@@skirtonbear1 thanks 🙂 I started with a hydration belt with two little plastic bottles (about 300mls) each on each hip. I’ve just bought my first hydration vest but haven’t tried it out yet 🤗 happy running
Hi Sarah thank you for all this information, I don’t know how you are with wearing a ID bracelet for accessories but think every runner should wear one. I live Zimbabwe and in Ireland at the moment so have 2 ID bracelets with all my details on. I have a friend who was killed last weekend in Zimbabwe while out running she had her phone with her but it was smashed when she was hit so they couldn’t find out her details. This is my second friend who has been killed while running. Just think for our own safety we should have details on us in case anything happens while we do the things we love.
Thanks so much for watching Dorothy and we're so sorry to hear about your friend. Thank you for sharing the suggestion of ID bracelets - this is a good tip.

Sitting here wearing my Oofos Sliders. I wear mine around the house year round. Incredibly comfy and a welcome relief when I return from longer runs.

I just realized how much I need a running hat!
I always run with a hat, absorbs the sweat and makes me so much more comfortable.
Bandana my friend. Light and very practical.
I prefer a visor. Keeps out the sun of the eyes while keeping the top of the head cool.

Bandana. You can make the tail any length.

Great stuff. I use my ronhill hat all year around, great for sun and rain! To keep all weather away from the eyes haha.
Great to hear Lucy! Thanks for watching 😊

I need to get my hands on a FlipBelt. And a Salomon bottle;)

Decathlon photo chromatic sunglasses. Best value available.
The compressport caps are very nice lightweight and fit small heads. I use the hoka recovery sandles and they are amazing.

Nice to know about the size fitting small heads.
Lanyard for my glasses or my fit over sunglasses so everything stays put on my face. I love my oofos . I got them for my bday in February .

Why do they have to make so many of the summer caps black? Don’t get me wrong I love black. It looks great on me. But it gets too hot in the summer
Living in the desert I can't buy any black running accessories or gear. In Summer black is a no-go in desert climates.🌵

That sounds tricky, how does that work?

I don’t think we’re halfway through spring yet in England!

This isn't really the best is it. It's the best that your sponsor sells?
