You have the best instructions on how to play a rotation. Most build guides assume way too much competence, and the even bigger problem with providing only the ideal rotation is that sometimes people make mistakes. Elementalist seems so extra that I've never wanted to play one, but you made that seem pretty chill.
The hot tip for elementalist is to ignore most abilities and just learn the ones you actually use. Makes starting out much much easier. There is a not great but functional build that just uses staff and fire spells.
Off-topic question: Do you think Quick Scrapper without extra toughness could tank Soulless Horror? Like, is the 50% Barrier enough to face tank or would you still need to avoid the heavy hits regardless or get ~1600 toughness like Trailblazers Chronomancer as an example of proper DPS Tank 😁 If the answer is yes then in my opinion ideal group would be solo heal water only heal alac tempest with double quick scrapper one tanking and Alac Mechanist using Rifle to push Soulless Horror 😁 let's goo tempest meta!
The damage is really not the problem with pistol. It is conceded that it’s a very strong PVE option. The problem is that it looks underwhelming. It feels generic just like any other pistol in the game with no way to make it uniquely “elementalist”. It seems incomplete in terms of animation, vfx, and sfx. It is a nightmare to keep track of your bullets mid fight, either on the buff bar or on your character. You can easily lose your bullets as well by doing other stuff. With scepter, you don’t have to worry much about all these unnecessary weapon mechanics and still achieve high dps.
i dont agree. you can stock up on bullets before fights . also a quick glance at your status bar to see what bullets u have during downtime should be enough to never feel lost. its a skill in other mmos but its new to gw2 so ppl are complaining. i get it. i also crafted aurene's pistol so i cant agree on your critique of the vfx and sfx. the most underwhelming feeling on this build is overloading lmao. the water combo feels great tho (when you stock up on bullets prior, pistol 3 > pistol 2 + fire swap during cast)
@@fresnel5594 It's not new in gw2. This game has always had a bad reputation for showing your statuses, boons and conditions. It's all convoluted. Poeple have been asking for this since before but gw2 seems to have spaghetti code. Also, the bullets can get easily lost in the status bar. Every new status you get separates the bullets from each other. It's not just a quick glance in that case. The fact that you HAVE to look for it in the status bar is bad design. This is supported by the fact that Anet only added that feature when people complained during the beta, and slapped them on the status bar without refining it.
The issue i see here is that your rotation is slightly off, you should always do combo fields first(excluding overloads) then do the #3 skill, otherwise you lose out on the extra damage output from projectile finishers, especially on fire fields, so u can stack more burning
I quit the game for 2 years ago and now I feel same again, looks like I have to buy another dlc just to get pistol. have last dlc and others, but I did not get seccond last dlc.
If you are a fan of the pistol, like the video and subscribe for more, and if you aren't a fan of the pistol still do it.

My Charr elementalist was waiting for a more technology-based use of magic (staying a bit closer to the Legions approach of magic). Great build !
Thanks for the video! I was not a huge fan of pistol but your guide gave me hopes to give it a try :)
Thanks Vallun! commenting for the al·go·rithm. You are awesome!
If you wanna do Alac dps version without investing in ritualist gears, you can add air overload to the rotation
cool guide, thanks man, I've been really disappointed with ele pistol compared to guardian pistols. I look forward to trying this out.
all us ele mains are getting happier slowly
Thanks Vallun. Maybe now i can keep up with a rotation. Never could play the Elementalist cause i sucked at playing the piano.
Primero 😂 Pd: i love all the content u made from your experienced perspective
I just learned snowcrow’s adps rotation. 2-3 skills are swapped on this one, should get a bit more damage with this, gotta keep that in mind.
@VALLUN do you play final fantasy 8 theme in the back ;D

I prefer Sw/d or sce/dagger or horn
so Soto needed right? maybe i should buy it xD

you can accumulate fire and earth bullet before fight, this way in all 3 specs you'll need to use 2->3, it will be less confusing for fingers)
it will be more confusing to know when you have started with the bullets and when you havent

can you be more specific? what abilities are missing from the rotation
nice video :D
Video is black?
How to use pistol with elementalist?
Requires Soto - weaponmaster training
You can play Secret of the Obscure storyline chapters 1 through 4. Then your account has access to the new weapons.

Pistol Weaver?
way too complicated for its return on investment
