Yes you always hydrate, moisturize, and DOUBLE heat protectant before you straighten your hair. You deep condition your clean hair then you use a little leave-in conditioner, heat protectant hair lotion-milk. THEN you blow dry your hair and lastly use a heat protectant spray & serum BEFORE you use a straightener. Make sure your hair straightener is under 375 Fahrenheit and your blow dryer is medium heat high voltage. If you do that you will never get heat damage, hopes this help❤
Listen, the detangling benefits alone makes it worth it. I love my texture release. I looked up the ingredients for that Keracare spray and it's silicone not oil. I'm fine with using silicones but a little really does go a long way. Too much will make your silk press stiff and greasy. I use two drops of the Paul Mitchell for my entire head. I also prefer to use light oils on my hair like argan instead heavy ones like castor. I only use a small amount too
Exactly this, the detangling is just life changing! Thanks for the info on the KeraCare spray, I’m definitely finding that less is more with that, I hate greasy straight hair!
When you put oil in your hair before straightening it makes your hair stiff, try only using heat protection spray! It really worked for me and we have the same hair texture. Now when I straighten my hair it’s salon bouncy for days
am I the only one who doesnt see any changee? it may feel softer but stil looks like it tangles very quickly and it still looks 4c there's no loosen curls
@@lakialaelyou’re supposed to have results through 16 washes. There is a difference when you touch your hair- but I got so much breakage from this so I hate it
Your hair looks amazing. Thanks for sharing and coming back to give more info. I don’t know if this service is as popular in the U.S as it is in the UK. I wish I could find a stylist to do this.
No problem, thanks for watching! I think it’s still relatively new but is definitely becoming quite popular so hopefully you can find someone who can do it for you! One of my friends even did it herself too xx
Heat protectant once is fine and the lighter the better on your leave in products if you want your hair to be bouncy and have body. It's really pretty, I love it!! 💜 btw, aersol heat protectants work well and keeps your hair dry.
@@_motheringinstyleYou're welcome. I love Paul Mitchell hot off the press and I'm currently using Paul Mitchell nuero protect heat control which also adds shine + a light hold. I know Kenra makes some good ones as well that people like but I've never tried those. 💜
Beautiful😍 So excited to be getting my first texture release on Friday… I’m 4c as well just want to maintain and retain length and health I’ve been wearing in natural state which is my ultimate goal but looking to do something that will help me achieve more effectively. Thank you for sharing your hair journey. Absolutely subscribed 💗💗💗💗
@@_motheringinstyle i like it but honestly a little limp for me i think ill stick with press but i am impressed with how long its lasted. pretty amazing
Nice. My hair is fine as well. I have a relaxer, so I’ve been searching for women who has fine hair for ideas. I’m so glad that I came across you. I love hope your hair came out. Do you remember where you got your watch band?
It’s quite hard. I have a texture release at the moment. You naturally sweat, so for me the roots were slightly going back natural. And the perimeters of my hair. But the rest of the hair was PERFECT 🤣
This is my first time having it done, it’s supposed to last about 10 washes I think but I’m gonna see how it goes, I’m hoping to stretch it out to about 6 months before redoing it ❤️
So close to relaxing altogether im tired of looking 12 when im a 37yr old woman, i want to have straught hair because the wigs be wigging regardless plus they are expensive and i hate looking at the lace, yes the lace you see on all of them lol. This looks like a normal blow dry, im not sure now if i wana spend hundreds to have my hair look like i just blow dried it
Yeah I feel you! I think it all depends on your original hair texture, my hair could never look like this after a blow dry pre-texture release, it would never get this straight or sleek! If yours can then its probably better to just do a silk press and save your coins!
The best practice is to use Texture Release shampoo and conditioner to maintain the texture release for longer. Then, texture release thermal protector spray before straightening . I do texture release on my daughter's hair, and it lasts up to 3 months thanks to using the products. She wears her hair both, curly and straight depending what she wants and I noticed that if I use a different shampoo for example, the effect is not the best. I use keracare deep moisturising mask ofter every other wash, but I always use the texture release shampoo.
Hey I’ve added it to the description box for you and here it is : amzn.to/3QtSGfd yes I would still recommend it, I love it and feel like I get the best results with it and can fry my hair relatively quickly with it too!
It’s truly different. I’ve been getting relaxers before and its not the same, after 3-4 months my hair reverted completely. It’s not even like a texturizing treatment
I wish people would do their research before making conclusions. It's not a texturiser nor is it a relaxer. There are no chemicals that permanently change the curl pattern. It allows manageability of natural hair and wears off between 10-12weeks. Relaxers don't wear off, your hair is straight forever. And texturisers also do the same, your curl pattern changes permanently. I've had one and my hair is still very much 4c. So not a relaxer!! And no dangerous chemicals

Thank you, this is really helpful!!
Do you do the same process when you do your first ever texture release?
I just subbed because I'm so happy you did the 4c thin hair version because yes all the other reviews are ladies with very thick hair.
Thank you! Finding people online with fine hair can be such a struggle so I’m glad this helped!
So very true thank you! I'm such a lazy natural this is paradise on earth

A twist out on your blown out hair would look super cute!
I’ve never tried a twist out before but I really want to give it a go!

Yes I’ve definitely noticed this! I’m finding the KeraCare heat protectant gives me enough sheen that I don’t need to use additional oil anymore!
From my experience sometimes a trim is needed to deal with tangling issues, especially with thin hair, it's more susceptible to damage.
Yeah you’re definitely right, I hadn’t had a trim or cut for so long before doing this so I want to make sure I’m trimming it ever few months now!
yesss , i want to be able to run a comb thru my hair without detangling for 3 hours
Yes. I am so tired of my arms hurting every time I touch my natural hair
Honestly this is the first time I’ve ever experienced it and I don’t want to go back!
You did that sis! Been debating whether to get a TR for a while now. Your video really helped me decide. Thank you for creating this 🥰
I’m really happy with mine, so glad it helped!
Sis you have the same nails as i do and hair texture :) instantly sold lol and your lovley to listen to . new subbie blessings
Yay twinsss haha thanks for subscribing! ❤

Maybe it doesn’t show as much on camera, especially because I didn’t have a shot of the before but my curls are A LOT looser than before xx
I don’t think it is suppose to loosen your curls much, and is suppose to revert with each wash, otherwise it would be like a relaxer
@@lakialaelyou’re supposed to have results through 16 washes. There is a difference when you touch your hair- but I got so much breakage from this so I hate it
this looks soo good! from super coiled to super sleek, I'm sold!!
It has been a game changer!

Thank you so much!

I had the same issue detangling fine tightly coiled hair, so I caved in and got a relaxer this year
Girl I don’t blame you, I would love to go back to a pixie cut with relaxer I can’t lie
Texture release damaged my hair so bad. Wasn’t expecting this- worse than a relaxer and my hair is still curly!
How does your hair hold up when exercising?
It’s quite hard. I have a texture release at the moment. You naturally sweat, so for me the roots were slightly going back natural. And the perimeters of my hair. But the rest of the hair was PERFECT 🤣
You did such a great job!!! Looks gorgeous! How often do you get a texture release?

Just wanted to add that my daughter's hair is long, up to her waistline.
That’s really interesting, I might try that then, my results have lasted ages, it just my roots tangy are coming through very kinky now!
Love this which rollers do you use please
Please could you link the revlon hairdryer that you use? Would you still recommend it?

Where is the blow dryer comb from? Great video x
Thank you! It’s from Revlon! I would def recommend, I love it
Why doesn’t it move?
It is a perm.
How many passes did your stylist make with the flat iron?
I think it was just two, max 3 x
Not y’all putting chemicals that are no different from relaxer and giving it a different name. 🥴
The chemicals are actually very different and my hair never reverted when it was relaxed, don’t know about yours …either way I’m happy with it!
Exactly it’s a texturized or texlax….when is the same chemical as a perm just not processed as long so it doesn’t get as straight
