When WSB Atlanta was NBC in 1977, the station aired a Wednesday Night Movie "Planet of the Apes" and preempted NBC's Wednesday Night Prime Time TV Lineup. Cox Media Group's WSB-TV is now the ABC Atlanta affiliate to this day since September 1, 1980 Labor Day, the very same day Gannett-owned (Now Tegna-owned) 11 Alive WXIA-TV became NBC when both Atlanta TV affiliated stations switched affiliation.
