I second that motion to be a kid In the 80s was just great I can't stop put it in to words the best cartoons TV shows ,toys, even the commercials was great the culture was different yeah we need a time machine!!
+Denver Potts At least in the USA you had three channels to choose from. All we had in Pakistan was PTV. Our only choice was to turn the TV on or else off!
Born in 1972 & wow watching this really makes me realize how much I loved & miss my childhood! The kids of today have no idea how much fun we had back then!
I was born in '77, and so by the time '83 rolled around and I was 6. Because of that, I can remember a lot of the 80's music and t.v. shows. Watching this reminds me of just how long ago that time period was.
It brings back nostalgia ... TV nowadays has a lot of sinister/evil/negative ... connotations attached . Back then TV shows ... came across as good , clean , humor . Even their intros were great ... never thought I'll say this . But I miss commercials from the 80's as well ... growing up I hated them .
Few tears here - Since no father growing up - Grandfather and I would watch these shows together - So many great memories of great television and a great man... Miss you GRAND-DAD R.I.P - And thanks for the upload :)
The 80's was great when it came to entertainment. The movies, music, and television shows were all at their peak imo. The hair and fashion, not so much. I grew up in the 80'a and it was awesome.
Also we should definitely have the following shows added. Growing Pains, Full House, Mr. Belvedere, Family Matters, Night Court, Step by Step, Golden Girls, and one of my personal favorites, The Wonder Years. Anyways, thanks for bringing back these wonderful memories again.
Family Matters was more of a 90s show. I agree with the rest of this though. They should have added A-Team, McGuyver, and Archie Bunker's Place to the list too.
Such wonderful TV memories and when TV was worth watching so glad that me and my brother were 80's kids cause most of these shows we did watch together or most times I watched by myself.
it'll be awesome if you added what's happening, Mel's Diner, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork and Mindy, Cheers, Three's Company, One Day at a Time, WKRP in Cincinnati,Cagney & Lacey, Little House on the Prairie, Stairway to Heaven, Hill Street Blues, Bonanza, The Waltons, Eight is Enough, and The Gold Girls...Sorry I miss these shows...compared to now, Those were the best TV show ever
Bonanza ended in 1973 though! I'd also add You Can't Do That On Television, Solid Gold, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous (Come Fly With Me). the 1978-1983 and 1983-1989 CBS Movie themes, the various NBC movie themes (especially the 1984-1987 version). Newhart, Growing Pains, and Hunter.
It was so beautiful to hear all of these theme songs to all these wonderful shows back in the day. OMG! it brings back so many memories of being a little girl with my mom. Miss u Betty. U will be truly missed... Thanks everyone for these special moments and memories....
WOW, thanks for all the memories! I do second adding Mama's Family and Golden Girls. And how about Full House, Too Close For Comfort, Three's Company, Mr. Belvedere, Cheers...
The show Knots Landing was a spin off from Dallas. The main character of the show was Gary Ewing, Bobby & J.R.'s brother who decided to leave South Fork and start a new life in California because he didn't want to be a part of the ongoing feud between his family and the Barnes family. Also Gary got sick and tired of being deceived, manipulated, extorted, and blackmailed by J.R.
Wow, I’m amazed at how much TV I’ve watched over the years…this is but a drop in the bucket of all the shows over all the decades..wow…thanks for this awesome compilation!
Oh, the beautiful memories of my happy childhood. They will always be in my heart. I missed the good old days...Don't forget Saturday morning cartoons! I used to wake-up early in the morning with my cereal. I was glue to the tv.
Feel so nice to hear these theme songs. It brings back so many memories. It's just so soothing to the soul. Just the rememberance of watching these episodes when I was just a child. Thank you for the upload..!
The 80's were definitely the best for prime time shows. They weren't afraid of "political correctness". A lot of these shows would not fly in this oversensitive era. Hopefully the pendulum will swing back. Takes me back.
audieme nice I like Tom Hanks movies so the series must be good too.It was a wow moment for me to see Tom in a sitcom.^^ Now Im even more curious maybe I get the season on dvd.:)
Great show! I had the hugest crush on the stunning blonde Donna Dixon who if I'm not mistaken went on to marry Dan Akroyd.Love Billy Joel's song to this.
Wow Who's the Boss! lol I used to act like i was sick so i dont have to go to school. Once my parents left to work, Id get right up, make some Fruit Loops and tun on the TV for some fun shows.
Praise Be to God!!! I thank Him I was a child in the 80's and was blessed with vision and hearing to see all these amazing shows from the best decade ever!
I was born in 1980 and I think the only show I regularly watched was Punky Brewster. I mostly avoided television and instead played in the neighborhood
Thank you so much for bringing back those wonderful truly amazing memories of my adolescence ..I shall wear a permanent smile throughout this day thanks to this video!!
Oh, gosh, we would go to dinner on Friday nights at Ponderosa and be home by 7pm for T.G.I.F. Nobody mentioned Thunder Cats, HBO's Brain Games, lol. I loved all the Revenge of the Nerds and Weekend at Bernies movies too. Remember Book-It at school and the personal pan pizza you got at Pizza Hut. Jeez. Oh, the Hitchhiker and Gilbert Godfried!! Friday the 13th: Series, Ghost of Fathner Hall!!! Pippy Longstocking, Babysitters Club and that movie TEEN WITCH, with Brad, and that ratchet rap song "Top That", lol. I know its not cartoons. Oh shit how bout Blockbuster and West Coast Video. Vamp, Trilogy, Leonard Part 6!!!! Lemme stop
Point being... His reflection made me reminiscent of my own upbringing. Stop being a stickler for the specific and go to sleep knowing in your heart that EVERYONE has their own nostalgic memories.
Not sure about Brain Games (to be honest I'm only familiar with the modern incarnation on Nat Geo), but I think the reason Thunder Cats was left out is because it was a Saturday morning (possibly weekday afternoon, I don't remember when I use to watch it) cartoon. Everything in the list was a prime-time live action show.
I wish there were a TV channel where all of these shows come on. TV is so awful now that even reality shows are better than most sitcoms that come out today.
Danielle Simon OMG you are so right..... my TV hasnt even been on in weeks... except for the occassional shows that i record, other than that i have been youtub'n & netflik'n
Yeah, I wish the video quality of old shows was better on UA-cam and that Netflix had more of the good old shows available for streaming. I find myself watching nothing new that comes out. Honestly, the entire entertainment industry is garbage now. I can't listen to the radio, or watch TV or movies.
So does ME-TV. In fact, I'm watching Alf on that network as we speak. I was old enough to remember Alf, but not old enough to retain any memories other than him always trying to eat Lucky so every episode is new to me.
You choked me up! So many beloved shows. In fact, I have many of these episodes on hundreds of videotape. Nothing like that on TV today anymore, except Big Bang Theory. THANK YOU for the memories.
And the remarkably similar He Man and the Masters of the Universe. Then again, these were all prime-time live action shows so I guess I can't complain.
Being a kid of the 80's was probably the best thing to ever happen to me. I miss you, childhood.
Lol I miss my childhood in the 80's too.
Somebody build a time machine!
I second that motion to be a kid In the 80s was just great I can't stop put it in to words the best cartoons TV shows ,toys, even the commercials was great the culture was different yeah we need a time machine!!

Sheels1976 Oh yeah glad they got ME TV and Antenna TV to bring some of these classics back!! Woowoo awesome!
+Sheels1976 thats coz there was nothing else to watch, just 3 then 4 channels, hard to imagine now. we didnt even hav a colour tv. those were the days
+Denver Potts At least in the USA you had three channels to choose from. All we had in Pakistan was PTV. Our only choice was to turn the TV on or else off!

Real TV shows back in the days...brings me back so many fond memories as a kid.
Wow! Such great shows from the last great decade of television. The 90s were ok but 1980s and older had all the best. I miss those simple times.
Born in 1972 & wow watching this really makes me realize how much I loved & miss my childhood! The kids of today have no idea how much fun we had back then!
God those are all so great. So many great memories. They don't make shows like that anymore!
I was born in '77, and so by the time '83 rolled around and I was 6. Because of that, I can remember a lot of the 80's music and t.v. shows. Watching this reminds me of just how long ago that time period was.
Feel sorry for people who didn’t get a chance to enjoy 80s. It is missed
Almost all shows back then were worth the viewing. I just remembered 21jump street!
I remember all these shows now at almost 40 I officially feel old...but the shows were awesome...
+Deja McDonald 43 here! :)
Hey, looking pretty good, 40 or otherwise :)
+John Doe thank you I try
It brings back nostalgia ... TV nowadays has a lot of sinister/evil/negative ... connotations attached . Back then TV shows ... came across as good , clean , humor . +Beyond (Infinite Plains) I totally agree

Family Ties has the best theme song written for a sitcom. I never get tired of it.
OHHHH ! The good old days ! Life was innocent !
The days I wasent born in😔
That ABC Friday Night Movie Theme, wow. Thanks for the memories!!
Such wonderful TV memories and when TV was worth watching so glad that me and my brother were 80's kids cause most of these shows we did watch together or most times I watched by myself.

If my life were to flash before my eyes right before dying it would look like this video. Most of my childhood was spent watching these shows.
Soo many memories!!
Back when TV was worth watching.
Gtfo. These shows are all garbage. That's just your nostalgia talking
Stephen Poissant I don't know who the fuck you are, but you can gtfo with that shit.
Bye.
Because in the 80's US was winning. All TV shows were uplifting and promoted champion mentality. And after that liberals happened...
Yeah this was a life flashback
Get Netflix- it's worth it!
So blessed to have been an 80's kid. Television was so great back then.
I watched just about every one of these shows when I was a kid in the 80's. I even had the Knight Rider size car for kids!
Night Court, Golden Girls and MacGyver... but there were so many great shows. Thank you for the memories.

So many great memories i wish I could go back in time.Today you don't have memories like these.
Damn I miss the 80's
At 41 yrs old...this video brings back some good memories! 👍
it'll be awesome if you added what's happening, Mel's Diner, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork and Mindy, Cheers, Three's Company, One Day at a Time, WKRP in Cincinnati,Cagney & Lacey, Little House on the Prairie, Stairway to Heaven, Hill Street Blues, Bonanza, The Waltons, Eight is Enough, and The Gold Girls...Sorry I miss these shows...compared to now, Those were the best TV show ever
Yep, I'm big fan of Happy Days, Mork & Mindy, Cheers, Three's Company, and WKRP in Cincinnati!
Ahhhhhh, thanks for the time capsule. That was was like therapy for my mind.

Belvedere, Cheers...
i third the motion :D The golden girls was the best for me :D
Boy! Does this bring me back to my childhood. I know about half the shows.
Dynasty, Dallas & Knots Landing, all three of those shows represented the 80's era of Reaganomics.
Airwolf, A Team, Dukes of Hazard, Fall Guy, Magnum, Hardcastle, Street Hawk is some classic shit!!!! Real Shows
The golden age of TV
That was terrific - thanks for going to all that work. The only thing I'd add would be Cagney and Lacey and Murder she wrote.
Damnit man.. Brings back some good memories.. And Tears. of Joy..
Watching this feeling nostalgic and crying about a decade I missed by ten years.
Looks like great fun. It's beautiful.
We had such awesome TV back in the 80's. Kids today don't even know how bad they have it with all the dreck on TV today.
Joe Snow

We didn't have much growing up but I miss the 80's so much...
Where was Cheers? That was one of the most defining shows of the '80S
Man, the way this took me back down memory lane! LOL!
The 80's were definitely the best for prime time shows. They weren't afraid of "political correctness". A lot of these shows would not fly in this oversensitive era. Hopefully the pendulum will swing back. Takes me back.
All great tv shows
Cool love 80s series and Bosom Buddies never seen before cause its never shown here in Germany.Looks pretty cool with Tom Hanks :)
It was a hilarious show!
audieme nice I like Tom Hanks movies so the series must be good too.It was a wow moment for me to see Tom in a sitcom.^^

Things i learned from 80's TV intros.. People in the 80's used to randomly stare into the distance and smile.
dang!! at 40 yrs old, I definitely miss the 80s! best times ever!
They didn't have Cheers, A Different World, Night Court, The Wonder Years, Moonlighting, Carol Burnett, 227
They had Moonlighting
No Mama's family either.
Were The Golden Girls in there? Or did I miss it?
A Different World was in there.

St. Elsewhere, LA Law, Night Court??? They sure beat The Fall Guy and Hardcastle and McCormick!!
Praise Be to God!!! I thank Him I was a child in the 80's and was blessed with vision and hearing to see all these amazing shows from the best decade ever!
Small Wonder, Punky Brewster, Rags to Riches and Growing Pains were missing from this clip.
Punky Brewster is there..
My whole entire childhood just flashed in front of me! I am sanging and humming all these songs and thinking back! Peace!
I was born in 1980 and I think the only show I regularly watched was Punky Brewster. I mostly avoided television and instead played in the neighborhood
Jeremy Foster me too lol
OMG..... just watching the intros bring back some memories 😂😂
Thank you
Damn, Airwolf was badass..
Thank you so much for bringing back those wonderful truly amazing memories of my adolescence ..I shall wear a permanent smile throughout this day thanks to this video!!
I have to note the absence of MacGyver. My grandfather and I watched it together when I was little.
Yeah, I have several of the seasons on DVD and watch them still, and I'm a legal adult now. :)
that bought back my childhood/teen memories watching tv with my family
Oh, gosh, we would go to dinner on Friday nights at Ponderosa and be home by 7pm for T.G.I.F. Nobody mentioned Thunder Cats, HBO's Brain Games, lol. I loved all the Revenge of the Nerds and Weekend at Bernies movies too. Remember Book-It at school and the personal pan pizza you got at Pizza Hut. Jeez. Oh, the Hitchhiker and Gilbert Godfried!! Oh shit how bout Blockbuster and West Coast Video. Vamp, Trilogy, Leonard Part 6!!!! Lemme stop
+Stephanie Santana I think he was trying to stay with classic tv. Although he forgot some of those too. Oh well.
Point being... His reflection made me reminiscent of my own upbringing. Stop being a stickler for the specific and go to sleep knowing in your heart that EVERYONE has their own nostalgic memories.
That's fine, I wasn't being a stickler. I was trying to clarify the scope of his video.
Wat an awesome trip back in time. So many shows I completely forgot about.
Damn I watched a lot of TV
Thank you, I smile thru the whole thing I watched every show here.
What about the tv show with the robot girl daughter? Or the one with Sasquatch living with a family? (Harry & The Hendersons)
Small wonder!
Small Wonder...I have no idea why the hell they didn't put it on the list
Oh my GOD.....I'm a kid again! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Left out Cheers, Magnum PI and Hill Street Blues
Magnum PI wasn’t left out
Exactly hill street blues should be on there👍👍👍
Wow!!!This brought me to a time when life was simple and times were happier. So many good memories, I couldnt watch the whole video.
I wish there were a TV channel where all of these shows come on. TV is so awful now that even reality shows are better than most sitcoms that come out today.
Antenna t.v shows A LOT of these shows.....LOVE it!!
It's called UA-cam
You choked me up! So many beloved shows. In fact, I have many of these episodes on hundreds of videotape. Nothing like that on TV today anymore, except Big Bang Theory. THANK YOU for the memories.
Where is REMINGTON STEELE ? It was enormously popular!
kate and allie, newhart, quantum leap, murder she wrote, matlock, night court, hill street blues, taxi, st elsewhere, V just a few missing
And the remarkably similar He Man and the Masters of the Universe. Then again, these were all prime-time live action shows so I guess I can't complain.
Back when TV shows had real full Openings!!!
