I've only just discovered your channel. Your enthusiasm has inspired me to get stuck back into doing a lot more on my layout. Thanks Al from Australia.

This was one of the few Korean locos that I could put back together after painting it and it actually ran better after reassembly. Key imported this loco during the 80's. I found the quality close to Tenshodo's version.

i love the tree blocking the view of the engine in the beginning, so prototypical, love it..if they'd only stopped the engine 50 feet back, eh? for a clear view go to 2:13

Folks, I had an 18 year gig as a pro pilot and flew many types of aircraft. For a period of about two years I worked for a major bank repossessing errant planes ..........point? Nothing in the air ever equaled the thrill of riding in a PRR K4 at 100 mph. This was 1953 on the PRR/Reading Seashore Lines with my Uncle Ed. My dad and I were hanging on to anything we could find in the cab and were scared beyond shitless while Uncle Ed was casually taking a leak on the coal pile holding on only to little Uncle Ed. The fireman was a small rather skinny critter but must have shoveled several tons of coal during our trip from Cape May to Collingswood with the safety chains not connected and the loco swaying one way, the tender another, and the coaches still another direction all held on by very thin flanges. Flying dangerous? Give me a break!!! Note: All PRR K4's were hand fired until the end of steam.
