I've had the Oneplus Pro 3 for several weeks now paired with a Oneplus 12. Upgraded from Pro 2. I don't notice much difference in the sound quality, but admittedly I am not a sophisticate in that regard. However, I love the sound quality on both of them. Was disappointed in the noise cancelling and expected better on the Pro 3. The reason I upgraded was the addition of stem volume control. I was extremely disappointed in the implementation of this feature and found it too frustrating to get it to work. I would not have bothered to upgrade due to these two negatives because I was just as happy with the Pro 2.

Thanks Picky! Great in depth reviews. I purchased the Technics AZ80's first based on your reviews and absolutely loved the sound quality once I left them to burn in until they went flat (6hrs or so). But, I found the AZ80's not loud enough, but not a deal breaker. What was a deal break was how suspectable they are to interference, wearing on my commute randomly had the audio breaking up at certain locations even with my Pixel only being in my pocket. I never had experienced this with my other IEM's. So I also purchased these buds and they sounded great right out of the box, so looking forward to post burn in. One thing you didn't shout out in your review that I only noticed upon receipt, these buds are built working with DynAudio. DynAudio make AMAZING speakers with a great sound signature that doesn't fatigue you easily. Its now no surprise to me that these buds sound great. However, one small issue for me was the included tips do not include an XL size, anyone tried any aftermarket tips that work well with these?
No worries! Were you using the az80 with LDAC? Android codecs can be a bit iffy at times. Check out my spinfit compatibility list on my ko-fi for the buds pro 3
@@pickyaudio Thanks for the quick reply! I've as well given this some thought after my original OP Buds Pro starting to die after 40 min of ANC active use. Would it be wiser to have the buds in a separate case that they won't charge to 100% all the time?
This is an important aspect very overlooked - i.e. environmental.impact. I've often considered/pondered whether buying top end buds are worth it for this reason. E.g. if you get a pair that's 250£ would they last any longer than say some which are 100£.

How is that compared to air pods pro 2, I think they do switch to mono in that case, correct..?
Surprisingly the Buds 3 call quality sounded better than the Buds Pro 3 (lower in volume). Any reason why that might be so? You think the stronger ANC causes this?
Hi! Is this work with iphone cellphones and not affect its quality on sounds and any functions? Thanks planning to get one because pf this channel hehe
The more reviews in comparison videos I see where these earbuds are ranked compared to the competition and its predecessors makes me really feel like I don't necessarily need to upgrade for my buds Pro 2. Yeah it would be nice to have some of the extra little touch control features just for some quality of life things but I guess if I'm being honest I rarely ever use the touch controls on my buds Pro to as is. The updates just seem like minor little changes here and there and nothing like groundbreaking. The only major changes obviously the design that I see and just some of the added gestures that you can do

Great review! Discovered your channel a few weeks ago and love the detailed in depth reviews. Got my OnePlus Buds Pro 3 a couple of days ago an like them so far. Sound is great and even gets better using "Golden Sound". ANC is also great but I feel the ANC being a little to "shrill". Sorry, didn't find a better word to tranlate from German 😅😅 What I mean is, when comparing the ANC of the One Plus Buds Pro 3 with Airpods Pro or Sony WF-1000XM4 without music or a Podcast, you can hear more of the higher pitched sounds like the sound of key rattle or my dogs claws on the concrete. Also tried my wife talking to me. On the OnePlus Buds Pro3 her voice seems to get more "amplified" and on the other earbuds it's more muted. Does anyone else experience the same behaviour?

@VindiVinchi1 no i ended up canceling the order as it wasn't worth it to me to even try. I went with an open earbud as the job i have i have to be able to hear people. Also having one earbud in with the white noise from there transparency mode was really doing a number om my ear.
Hi. I know u have mentioned the comparison. But still after longer usage can u still think oneplus buds 3 are close to buds 3 pro in terms of sound quality and mic voice calls??
The Oppo Enco Air offers the best sound quality overall. However, the Devialet Gemini 2, Nothing Ear (with significant adjustments using the hearing test, 28% intensity, and mid-level bass enhancement), Denon Perl Pro (personalized with immersion set to -1), Liberty 4 Pro (personalized), and Status 3ANC (in audiophile mode with ANC off or in original mode with ANC on) are all very close contenders. In isolation, they all sound equally excellent, so no one should choose based off sound quality alone. For instance, after listening to any of these for 30 minutes, you’d likely feel they are the best over the others. Then, after switching to another pair for another 30 minutes, you’d have the same impression-they all excel when you focus on them individually. That said, the Liberty 4 Pro's weakest point is its bass, which lacks texture and feels a bit too smooth (although it has good quantity). However, it makes up for this with an exceptional midrange, especially for male vocals, which is clearly the best among the other options. Its soundstage is also equal to or better than the others. As for the Az80 (in dynamic setting), they just don't reach the necessary volume level. I typically listen to high-end IEMs powered by a quality DAC, so when I switch to TWS, I expect similar volume levels. The Az80s don't provide that for lower-volume tracks, especially older music. I would only recommend the Az80 if your priority is pairing with three devices simultaneously and if you prefer listening to newer or louder mastered tracks.
I'm undecided on which headphones to get, I had the beats fit pro, but they're gone now, I would like an excellent compromise between sound quality and mic... any advice?
Even though the Oneplus Buds Pro 3 are Oneplus's best earbuds, I'm good. I bought the Oneplus Buds 3 for $75 during the Prime Day sale. Also the Oneplus Buds Pro 3 are a little overpriced right now. Good review mucho macho senor Picky.😅
Can only one of the buds (the right one) be used and in mono mode? (Automatically when the other is in the case or through accessibility and setting it that way, I just wonder if it's possible) If the answer is no :(, what buds would you recommend as a good alternative? With those contols (slide for volume, 1, 2 and 3 taps). Thank you in advance.
Its using the same driver setup as the pro 2 11mm main woofer + 6mm tweet. The "Normal" 3 uses slightly smaller 10.4mm main woofer. Given that many of their phones and tablets bundles in a free pro 2, IMHO getting a Pro 2 might be smarter than the 3. There are loads of brand new and sealed pro 2s selling for significantly below RRP on ebay.
Hi Picky, loving the reviews and the scoring sheet, thank you. Do the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 work with foam eartips, do they fit in the case? I usually have medium as a size of eartip. Keep it up 💪
I have the oneplus buds 2 pro and 3 pro. 3 pro definitely sound a lot better. Punchier tighter bass, better treble extension, and the soundstage (which is the biggest improvement) is much wider snd a little airy. I also have the denon perl pro which i will be returning, onepluds buds 3 pro definitely sound better and are much comfier.
Im returning my denon as well. Didn't real like how they felt. I have the az80s and love them but need something that will stay in my ears. I have very oily ears and its hard to find something that stays. Im going to try these but not to happy to find out you dont get both left and right audio in each earbud. Where i work i can only have one earbud in at a time so this will suck for me.
what earbuds would u recommend for under 80$, I just want decent controls and good sound. I mostly listen to rock. i also mostly use 1 earbud so if it would work mono with only one it would be perfect
Wow that is an excellent review! I was almost dead set on getting the B&W Pi8 but looking at these and the price difference is really compelling me to consider these. As an audiophile I'm not too worried since these sound good and none of these Bluetooth ear buds come close to my wired IEMs anyway in terms of sound quality. I do have a question though: As an iPhone user, will using these have any drawbacks at all? Thanks! UPDATE: I just bought them off of an incredible sale on Ali Express for 170$ (CAD) & yes OnePlus has an official store there for anyone skeptical about it being legit. I think its a no brainer over the incredibly over priced B&W Pi8s.
How about anc and sound quality? I have now realme air 6 pro and they are amazing, comparing to my old samsung buds 2 pro. Are 1+ any better than realme? I will use them with ACC)
I never used oneplus earbuds. What is the average lifetime of those when using it for a couple of hours a week? I want to buy one but am getting sick of having to buy new buds every year and a half or so. Every time its the right earbud wich breaks (yes i clean contact points)
I had the pro 2 and i was happy but i bought the pro 3 just because the volume control and i was surprised on how good are these volume is louder about 10% sound quality to me is better about 5% but the sound stage is a huge improvement too so if u have the money i recommend u go for it u would not regret it
Please answer this question is QCY melobuds pro gonna be better than Qcy melobuds? In most review i find melobuds is better than pro version in sound quality. but in other specification melobuds pro is top notch. Some says Custom EQ makes melobuds pro better. Please help me choose.
Awesome review, made me buy them after watching this 3 times. They arrived but I hope they are just defective. While testing I put on some background piano on low volume. There is a hiss/white noise that comes through almost constantly when notes are played. I really hope mine are defective and this is not inherent to the earbuds. Do your earbuds have this same issue? Note: I reset, still same issue. The issue gets worse when bassboost eq is enabled. I tested this with my sony XM4 over ears and did not have this issue. Really appreciate any inputs here as I want to love them but can’t
Hey Picky, just watched your vid on the best earbuds under $100 and the Earfun Air Pro 4s were ranked in the same position as the Oneplus Buds 3. How come they did not make this final scoring list? Cheers
If you want wireless charging and a bit better anc yes. Otherwise battery life of Buds 3 Pro is even worse. I have Buds 3 and i am totally happy with them, will not upgrade.
Using Nothing Ear since 3 months and find the ldac codec taking the sound quality to the next level Just FYI I had to replace it already for Left buds battery drain issue 😅
What kind of magic does Apple do to make their transparency mode so realistic? After trying both, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 is still quite outclassed in this area for me (as someone who uses transparency mode 95% of the time).
Although I agree for the quality of the sound that is very good, I cannot agree at all on the sound canceling part. For me it's like non-existent the canceling of any kind of sound. Huge difference comparing with my Liberty 3 pro. There is no comparison with the top players (Bose and Sony) in that regard.
I got the buds pro 2 free when I bought the buds pro 3 and I prefer the buds pro 2 because the buds pro 3 are not as comfortable in my ears. For some reason the buds pro 2 fit better.
Hi Nathanhenn1436, as someone with hearing loss, I'm in need of Bluetooth headphones with a maximum volume setting. I'm considering the Buds Pro 3 and Buds Pro 2. Could you please compare the maximum volume levels of these two models? Additionally, I'd appreciate any recommendations for Bluetooth headphones that offer the highest possible volume output. Thank you for your time.
@ibrahimdemircan2246 Hi. For the recommendations I can't really help with that as I have not used many earbuds. I have only used the Edifier tws1 pro and the buds pro 2 and pro 3. I do think the buds pro 2 and 3 are similar in the volume output and they are pretty loud. Loud enough to where I can't listen to the loudest volume because it is to loud for me. I do think that the buds pro 3 has slightly better audio quality and also the volume control on the buds themselves are great. Hope this helps

Then nothing ear is better , look at his nothing ear versus OnePlus buds video
Oppo Air 4 Pro are that good?
@@ranmasaotome9631 Yes indeed! They use a similar titanium driver as the Gemini 2 and are tuned similarly.
I'm undecided on which headphones to get, I had the beats fit pro, but they're gone now, I would like an excellent compromise between sound quality and mic... any advice?
Should i get this over pods max 1. Both are on huge discount rn, cant decide ngl
Solid deal and they’re not far off the pro 3 👍
Does this work seemlessly for ms teams calls on laptop over bluetooth?
Is there a big difference between Liberty 4 Pro and OnePlus Buds Pro 3? terms of sound quality
Can only one of the buds (the right one) be used and in mono mode? (Automatically when the other is in the case or through accessibility and setting it that way, I just wonder if it's possible)
If the answer is no :(, what buds would you recommend as a good alternative? With those contols (slide for volume, 1, 2 and 3 taps). Thank you in advance.
They can be used in mono mode but not automatically, galaxy buds 3 pro would be a good alternative for automatic monomode
Thank you for another great review, Picky! 👍
Thanks for watching!
Worth the upgrade from the buds 3?
Suggestion for Next Review:
Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
Thanks
did u try freebuds pro from huwaei ??
Buds 3 were scoring 8 in the last video , how did it go to 7.5?
I changed it. A lot of the scores change slightly over time as I refine it
@@pickyaudio So , the OP Buds Pro 2 sounds better? also.. is it worth to upgrade from OP buds 3 to Pro 3?
I dont think thats worth it @kyosukeshidou1370
do you plan to test and compare the jabra elite 10 gen 2?
what earbuds would u recommend for under 80$, I just want decent controls and good sound. I mostly listen to rock. i also mostly use 1 earbud so if it would work mono with only one it would be perfect
Earfun Air Pro 4
@@pickyaudio thx, somehow they arent availanle anywhere in my country tho 🥲
Why did you remove the qcy melobuds pro from your comparison lists and scores?
They’re in the under $50 ranking
and please compared to Earfun air pro 4 which would you choose?
Id go with the oneplus anyday, the earfuns aren't bad but they definitely dont live up to the hype
It has app in ios?
These are just an update on the Oppo Enco X2, which had excellent sound quality.
Any idea on comparison with air pods pro 2?? How are those? If you use it on iPhone
I hav both. Oneplus is far better. Ive given de airpods pro 2nd gen to my wife
I never used oneplus earbuds. What is the average lifetime of those when using it for a couple of hours a week? I want to buy one but am getting sick of having to buy new buds every year and a half or so. Every time its the right earbud wich breaks (yes i clean contact points)
What do you think of this vs Google pixel buds pro 2?
If thw OP3 hurts the inside of my ear, will i have the same results for pro? Or is it marginally smaller?
Do you prefer jbl live pro 2 or buds pro 3
Buds pro 3.
Buds pro 3 mainly for the better customisation and sound
which is better : spatial audio of jabra elite 10 or oneplus buds pro 3 ?
Just got them today and i love it :
Hey Pickey. Earfun airpro 4 was launched recently. I am stuck between OnePlus 3 and the above one. Can you suggest me which one should I go for 😊
He has reviewed that. See for yourself, bro.
Nice work Picky great video.
Killing the 360 uss with the 160usd heehehe. Congratulations sir this comparison is what I'm looking for.
Yo what's up Picky... I still have the Pro 2 in my rotation so let's see if I need the Pro 3. Thanks for sharing the Picky work 💯💪👍
Cheers BJ! Probably not worth the update but the ANC and transparency improvement is decent.
@pickyaudio thanks for the feedback. I think I'll stick with my Pro 2 for now. Maybe when they need replaced I'll grab the 3s
I had the pro 2 and i was happy but i bought the pro 3 just because the volume control and i was surprised on how good are these volume is louder about 10% sound quality to me is better about 5% but the sound stage is a huge improvement too so if u have the money i recommend u go for it u would not regret it
When i said 10% on volume, in pro 2 i used to listen 1bar before 100% on pro 3 i set it 3 bars down the top
Please answer this question
is QCY melobuds pro gonna be better than Qcy melobuds?
In most review i find melobuds is better than pro version in sound quality. but in other specification melobuds pro is top notch. Some says Custom EQ makes melobuds pro better. Please help me choose.
Yea the Pro is better overall
Perfect in my ears galaxy buds 3 pro
Cheers
These are $100 or more
Is it worth to upgrading buds 3 over to this ?
If you want wireless charging and a bit better anc yes. Otherwise battery life of Buds 3 Pro is even worse. I have Buds 3 and i am totally happy with them, will not upgrade.
@@mikekakonikolas7407 what about the sound quality?
@@SteveJones-fo7js you are not gonna hear so much difference imho.
what Mike said 👍
@@mikekakonikolas7407 what about call quality in noisy environments and crowded spaces? I'm mainly looking for good mics.
Using Nothing Ear since 3 months and find the ldac codec taking the sound quality to the next level
Just FYI I had to replace it already for Left buds battery drain issue 😅
What kind of magic does Apple do to make their transparency mode so realistic? After trying both, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 is still quite outclassed in this area for me (as someone who uses transparency mode 95% of the time).
I would love to know as well. Transparency modes really do baffle me
Has the op3pro transparency improved any since, im asking because his rating for it now is 9.5 instead of a 9 like it was in this video
Galaxy buds 3 pro??? When can we expect that video
I swear to God is the best sound review ever
Is it worth to buy when you have a OnePlus 12 phone? Or something better I can find with price?
Great review, one of best for me! GJ.
Next earbuds is probably Sennheiser Accentum Tws
Although I agree for the quality of the sound that is very good, I cannot agree at all on the sound canceling part. For me it's like non-existent the canceling of any kind of sound. Huge difference comparing with my Liberty 3 pro. There is no comparison with the top players (Bose and Sony) in that regard.
mind to tell us why nothing ear drop from 8.5 to 8.0 for sound quality?
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 pro review when?
These are better by a long ways IMHO.
I'll get the ball rolling on my review
The Pro 2 have a deeper driver shaft. That could be why
@@nathanhenn1436 Thanks a lot for your reply
i wish you could be able to rank the "jabra 10 elite Gen 2" in your datas maybe thank yu cause, i hesitate between Technics AZ80 & Jabra Elite 10 gen 2....
Will it read out your WhatsApp notification and ask your instruction to reply like AirPods with ios
No
Jabra elite 10 does
Review Galaxy buds 3 pro please 🙏
How much sound quality points for Sennheiser accentum
Take a look at the jabra elite 10 Gen 2.
Really like your videos BUT I thought the Sound Quality section on this one was a bit light. It was mainly comparison with the actual sound quality review kinda hidden in there. Good job overall though.
Thanks for the feedback
How does the ANC compare between OnePlus Buds Pro 3 and Soundcore Liberty 4 NC? Looking for an upgrade of the latter in this regard.
It's slightly stronger. Not too noticeable
I already have the Liberty 4 NC. Is the Oneplus buds pro 3 a necessary upgrade?
@@captaincaveman9411 Different league. L4NC is shit when stands aside OP Buds Pro 3.
